    5-piece fried chicken tenders combo
    River A.

This place was so bomb!! 10/10, you need to try this hidden treasure. I've been to Baklava House dozens of times and saw this chicken spot open up, so I've been meaning to try it. I love the booths and ambience there, and saw that they added cute little red chairs to match the new restaurant side. The owners were so sweet and attentive, and the food was excellent! The spicy chicken is the perfect amount of spice, and so tender and juicy. Like best fried chicken I've had in Fresno, hands down. The fries were also great! I ordered the five piece tenders as a snack and they threw in a couple extra tenders for free... definitely more than a snack! Great value and tons of food for the price. Enough to take home for leftovers and then some, and you can get a whole chicken fried with 3 sides for $20. Can't beat that!! I was more than happy with my order and will be coming back soon! I even ordered to go, and since they make their meals to order, it was still piping hot by the time I got home. Support local businesses and check this chicken spot out, you won't regret it!!!

    Chicken Bowl

So I ordered the chicken bowl and on the description it said it had fried chicken, Mac and cheese and rice in the bowl. Not this bowl was filled up to the top with food. The chicken was juicy and moist, the Mac and cheese was just as good, but the rice was the issue it didn't have much flavor. It tasted between rice pilaf and white rice just couldn't make up their mind which rice they wanted. It had plenty of space to sit down and eat. The servers were polite and took my order quickly. Parking was good as well no issues there.

Incredible, family owned and the Best Fried Chicken I've had in a very long time. Great job, we will be back.

First the service was great! Gave us choices and explained what they had. The prices were very reasonable. The amount of food was more than enough so many fries we are bringing some home to reheat for later. They were so good. they also have the baklava house next-door so we grabbed some lemon baklava to take home for dessert later. So come check it out. Food was great. Prices are amazing. The staff super friendly let's give our town and the little shop owners some business it's worth it. Sorry was so good took my photo late. No lie you can see how much I ate. I finished my chicken sandwiches- breast meat too my favorite

Friendly staff, took a bit of time, but I had time that day. Attached to the Baklava House. Had a bit of everything! A lot of food, good prices, and even had leftovers. Chicken is not heavily breaded, bit it was well seasoned and delicious! Left a review for the Baklava House too, since they're together. I want to go back to try their other stuff too!

Fresh French Fries for a great deal!

Everyone is always very nice and accommodating. The food is fresh and delicious. This is a hidden gem!

Burnt ass chicken I paid $18 for!

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.

I love Persian food for its clean, complex…read moreflavors and meals built around rice, but I had not enjoyed it since moving to Fresno County several years ago. What I especially appreciate about Persian cuisine is its beautiful balance of sweet and sour flavors, often achieved with ingredients such as saffron, cinnamon, walnuts, dried limes, and pomegranate molasses. These ingredients give Persian dishes a distinctive character that sets them apart from many other Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines. Persian cooking also does not rely heavily on dry spice rubs or excessive oil. Instead, fresh herbs play an important role, either cooked directly into dishes or served fresh alongside feta cheese, vegetables, and nuts. Rice is another defining element of the traditional Persian meal. Persian cuisine has elevated rice preparation to an art form, with meticulously steamed rice traditionally paired with a slow-cooked stew or beautifully grilled kebab. Tahdig--the signature golden, crispy rice crust that forms at the bottom of the pot during steaming--is considered a prized part of Persian hospitality. It was certainly beautifully presented and visually appealing here, although I personally would have preferred a bed of fluffy steamed rice instead. The beef-and-lamb mix Koobideh was soft, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The flavor was deeply savory and remarkably clean, highlighted by the warmth and aroma of saffron, sweet charred onion, and a rich, buttery finish. The chicken kabob featured a beautifully caramelized exterior and an incredibly juicy, tender interior, with a nice balance of simple, aromatic seasonings such as saffron and onion. Both meats had a wonderful char. The open-flame charcoal grill produced distinct dark grill marks and a subtle rustic smokiness that is such an important part of great Persian grilling. A complimentary fresh service plate of sliced cucumber, tomato, feta cheese, and olive oil accompanies the meal, along with traditional Persian lavash bread. The service was amazing. We received personalized attention from the restaurant manager, who was exceptionally warm and genuine. His menu recommendations were thoughtfully tailored to our preferences rather than feeling like a generic sales pitch. After our meal, he brought us Persian black tea, a wonderful finishing touch that gave us a chance to relax and enjoy the experience a little longer while also serving as a traditional after-meal digestive. If you are unfamiliar with Persian cuisine, Taj Deeg is a delicious introduction. Expect juicy, marinated meats grilled over charcoal, aromatic saffron, smoky char, fresh accompaniments, and fragrant Persian rice preparations. It is a flavorful adventure that offers something distinctly different from the usual Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare. **4.5 stars**

Unfortunately, the Chicken Shawarma was noticeably dry and although there was a trace of sauce, it wasn't clear what it really was. In the Shawarma was a heaping amount of white onions, which I personally didn't mind however others may not. A key miss was no garlic sauce included, which is a staple with similar dishes. As for the Hadramout Home Bread, it was extremely dry and tough. Definitely more of a workout than a meal. I ended up tossing it! The fries were definitely the only standout.
