Went on a Friday during restaurant week, made reservations and our service was speedy!!! Atmosphere inside is quiet and modern! Love that it's 21+, great for date nights. Dinner was the 2 meal special that included choice of an appetizer to share, two meals and a shared dessert. Flavors of everything we had were delicious and well prepared. Waitstaff were great, very attentive. Will definitely go back!!

I've been wanting to try Harry's Sidecar since my friend was excited to see another classy establishment come to the Fredericksburg area. Fast forward to this past weekend. I took it upon myself to suggest Harry's because if I'm traveling that far for food, I want it to be goooood! My friend, who's my ambassador for all things Stafford/Fredericksburg, did not make reservations but in her defense, I did say I wanted to kick it at the bar to watch football. Well a couple things, the bar doesn't have tv's and the restaurant was booked up because it was restaurant week..hmmmm! Why didn't you know these things Miss Ambassador..LOL!! While we were standing there looking like two deer stuck in headlights, a Harry's patron stood up and said, let's make room and rearranged their seating to squeeze us in. That would never have happened up North without us asking, so thankful for the southern hospitality for SURE!!! When I say the servers made us feel like we were the only folks in this packed out restaurant, they did just that! My friend ordered the Sumac Martini and she couldn't stop talking about it. One bartender said she created it while the other took credit for perfecting it. I do enjoy good bantering..LOL! We ordered off the Restaurant Week menu since it was so appealing. I have a new thing for thick cut quality pork chops, so I went for that, while my friend chose the scallops risotto. Both dishes were amazing! We selected the crab dip as our appetizer and I must say, it was the best tasting crab dip that I can remember. The homemade pita bread that accompanied the dip was just as delicious! If there ever was a five star dining experience, this was it! Harry's Sidecar is small so definitely make reservations. They have a large casual restaurant/sports bar just next door if you want a totally different Harry's experience...We'll try that one next time!!

Had a great restaurant week dinner for two! Nice wine list, good apps, flavorful entrees and dessert. Tasty and rich enough to put your cardiologist's kids through UMW. Pork Chop highly recommended. Brad at the bar was the only server but his stimulants must have kicked in since he was able to handle all the tables. Bring a jacket in the winter -- not sure why they just don't only use the entry to the airlock. We'll be back.

We stopped by early Friday evening to find we were the only ones in the restaurant. They had one lager on tap and said we could go next door for more beer options which I found unwelcoming. She did let us taste the one they had. We started with a few lager, smoked old fashioned and a vodka tonic and some crab dip. The drinks were pretty good and crab dip was very good. We ordered crab cakes, ribeyes and salmon burger. Our food was great and all liked the cream spinach side the best. The cost is a bit high but the food was good.

The Valentine's Day special cocktail menu this year consisted of the Bouquet of Rosès and a Cherry Whiskey Smash. Both are worthy additions to the menu, providing sweetness and everyone's favorite valentines treat, cherries!, Sara, Sav, and Tori all are excellent hosts, and even better friends. Expect a low key, hole in the wall experience downtown. Paired with an upscale food menu prepared from the same kitchen as Harry's Downtown. If you would rather sit at a table as opposed to the open bar seating, it is recommended to make a reservation for the future.

Went with family for the first time and it's a nice establishment. Very clean and the service was great. The bathrooms were very clean also. We had a party of 5 and everything that we ordered was good. They have a limited menu but it's good. They have a couple beers on tap and plenty of mix drinks. We ordered the crab dip with pita chips was really delicious. Crab cake, steaks and the special which was a salmon dish. The steaks were cooked to perfection, salmon was cooked perfect and the crab cakes were very good. They also offer to validate your parking garage ticket. Will go back again.

Delicious food! Our table tried the crab dip, salmon burger, ribeye, and crab cakes. They were all great! The creamed spinach was our favorite side! Staff was wonderful as well.

Each time we started with Harry's Crab Dip which was a real crowd pleaser, everyone throughly enjoyed it. Both times I had the Blackened Shrimp Tacos which were not too spicy just enough kick to give it flavor and the slaw which accompanied it was very flavorful. Our second time our server Q really made our evening out memorable. Next time we are in town we will definitely make another stop here.

After…read moremeeting a manager a separate night, and after hearing good things about their burgers, we finally stopped in for Sunday lunch with the family. Service: The first impression was a little mixed. The hostess wasn't very welcoming when we asked about a booth for our family of five (two adults and three younger kids) and didn't seem open to exploring the option. Thankfully, our server, DeQuandre (Deq?), completely turned that around. He was friendly, attentive, and offered great recommendations. We appreciated his visits as he was energetic and very hospitable, highly recommend asking for him when you visit. Food: We started with the buffalo dip. It comes with chips, but Deq was awesome and add some pita, which was a great call. The pita was slightly crisped (almost lightly fried) but still soft inside and paired perfectly with the dip, which had great flavor and good chunks of chicken. For burgers, we ordered the Spicy Wrangler (March 2026 Burger of the Month) and the Whiskey Burger. The Wrangler had a lot going on but the flavors worked well together. The Whiskey Burger was delicious, the sauce was a bit sweeter than I usually prefer, but the bacon was excellent. Only critique would be the burgers were slightly underdone even for medium, but still enjoyable. The onion rings were a standout, though the breading-to-onion ratio leaned a little heavy. The fries were decent but nothing particularly great about them. Atmosphere: Casual and open, but fairly loud. Even though it wasn't very busy for a Sunday lunch, the music and bar noise made it a little difficult at times to hear others at our table. I wouldn't consider this a date night type atmosphere, more casual open dining. Drinks: Solid beer selection with enough variety for most tastes, plus a small cocktail menu and a selection of wines. Overall: Harry's Downtown is a solid spot for a casual lunch or dinner. If you're in the mood for a good burger, or consider yourself a bit of a burger enthusiast, it's definitely worth checking out. This visit was positive enough to plan another visit to explore other delicious sounding menu items. We'll definitely be requesting Deq when we return! Thank you!

Free street parking nearby was easy to find. If you have a private event, you go to the back of the restaurant at the right and down some stairs. The private event room felt very bachelor den-like in a good way. There were leather seats surrounding the room and a tiny bar with a bartender to make us drinks. We were able to order whatever drink we wanted on the menu. For food, they brought trays out buffet style. We tried a variety of things. The star of the show was the Brussels sprouts. They were cooked to perfection and had a great sweet sauce. I enjoyed the salad too. They also brought out wings, mini burgers, mini fried chicken sandwiches, and tuna. Some were overcooked, but the flavor was nice. The seating was a bit awkward for a group our size in the private room, but we made it work. It was nice how casual it was.

For dinner on our first night, we opted to give Brocks Riverside Grill a try and we were not disappointed. Our waitress, Mckewen, was super friendly and helpful with both ordering selections when both of us have Shellfish allergies and later pairing our entrees with wines. For starters, we ordered drinks. My wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay and I ordered a Spicy Margarita. We shared an appetizer of Crispy Brussel Sprouts and bread rolls that came with a delicious oil and garlic dipping sauce. The main dining area was sparsely attended by other dinner patrons, with large windows to one side overlooking the river. For entrees, my wife selected the Roasted Beet Poke Bowl which she described as "light and refreshing" and I ordered the 16-oz Marinated Ribeye, cooked to Medium along with sides of mixed Seasonal Vegetables (sliced Zucchini & Squash) and Redskins Mashed potatoes with an order of mushrooms to go on top of the steak. I also ordered a nice glass of Merlot wine to go with it. The portions were generous, and the entrees perfectly prepared, and very tasty. If there was any fault at all, it was that the ribeye was a little too laden with a ring of fat rather than simply marbled, but otherwise no complaints. For dessert, I ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie and my wife ordered Crème Brûlée. Both were appealing to the eye and each bite beckoned us to take another bite. It is certainly someplace we would go to again.
