Harry's Sidecar is a nice little bar to pop in for drinks and apps. They only serve small plates, but every plate we tried was yummy. The drinks were also great! They had some seasonal drinks that we tried, which were good, but we really loved some of their staples like the rose quarts spritz and the London fog sour. The service was a little off the night we came in - timing issues with getting food out and lots of drama/comments between the staff. Nothing that was so off putting I wouldn't come back though! I think this would be a great stop if you're looking for somewhere before dinner or a light bite. read more

I went out the other night to meet a couple of friends, and we decided on Harry's Sidecar. I've eaten at Harry's before, but this was my first time experiencing the Sidecar--and I loved it. The space is cozy, with a nice mix of tables, bar seating, and comfy couches. Their cocktail menu is full of fun holiday options, and the small plates menu offers plenty to choose from if you're hungry. I ordered the London Fog Sour, the classic crab dip, and the birria eggrolls. The London Fog Sour might honestly be one of my favorite cocktails I've had downtown--I loved it so much I ordered a second one. I'll be going back just for that drink. The crab dip was its usual reliable, delicious self, and the birria eggrolls were flavorful and packed with meat. Our server was fantastic and helped us decide which small plates to try. Overall, Harry's Sidecar is an excellent choice if you're looking for an intimate spot to enjoy happy hour, whether you're solo or with a group. I absolutely recommend giving it a try! read more

Had the chimi steak fries! The fries were amazing and the carne asada was really good. The plate is loaded so you really get a lot of food for the price. I also had a couple old fashioned which were amazing as well. Place was very clean, great vibes and awesome staff! read more

I've been wanting to try Harry's Sidecar since my friend was excited to see another classy establishment come to the Fredericksburg area. Fast forward to this past weekend. I took it upon myself to suggest Harry's because if I'm traveling that far for food, I want it to be goooood! My friend, who's my ambassador for all things Stafford/Fredericksburg, did not make reservations but in her defense, I did say I wanted to kick it at the bar to watch football. Well a couple things, the bar doesn't have tv's and the restaurant was booked up because it was restaurant week..hmmmm! Why didn't you know these things Miss Ambassador..LOL!! While we were standing there looking like two deer stuck in headlights, a Harry's patron stood up and said, let's make room and rearranged their seating to squeeze us in. That would never have happened up North without us asking, so thankful for the southern hospitality for SURE!!! When I say the servers made us feel like we were the only folks in this packed out restaurant, they did just that! My friend ordered the Sumac Martini and she couldn't stop talking about it. One bartender said she created it while the other took credit for perfecting it. I do enjoy good bantering..LOL! We ordered off the Restaurant Week menu since it was so appealing. I have a new thing for thick cut quality pork chops, so I went for that, while my friend chose the scallops risotto. Both dishes were amazing! We selected the crab dip as our appetizer and I must say, it was the best tasting crab dip that I can remember. The homemade pita bread that accompanied the dip was just as delicious! If there ever was a five star dining experience, this was it! Harry's Sidecar is small so definitely make reservations. They have a large casual restaurant/sports bar just next door if you want a totally different Harry's experience...We'll try that one next time!! read more

Had a great restaurant week dinner for two! Nice wine list, good apps, flavorful entrees and dessert. Tasty and rich enough to put your cardiologist's kids through UMW. Pork Chop highly recommended. Brad at the bar was the only server but his stimulants must have kicked in since he was able to handle all the tables. Bring a jacket in the winter -- not sure why they just don't only use the entry to the airlock. We'll be back. read more

We stopped by early Friday evening to find we were the only ones in the restaurant. They had one lager on tap and said we could go next door for more beer options which I found unwelcoming. She did let us taste the one they had. We started with a few lager, smoked old fashioned and a vodka tonic and some crab dip. The drinks were pretty good and crab dip was very good. We ordered crab cakes, ribeyes and salmon burger. Our food was great and all liked the cream spinach side the best. The cost is a bit high but the food was good. read more

We all just call it Harry's. It has a cute dog theme with photos of cute doggos all over. I love love love their fried shrimp appetizer - the shrimp are huge and the sauce is like bang bang shrimp. We've had the same waiter several times and he is both chill and attentive. It can get loud in there, making conversation tough, but it's a fun dinner place. read more

The Valentine's Day special cocktail menu this year consisted of the Bouquet of Rosès and a Cherry Whiskey Smash. Both are worthy additions to the menu, providing sweetness and everyone's favorite valentines treat, cherries!, Sara, Sav, and Tori all are excellent hosts, and even better friends. Expect a low key, hole in the wall experience downtown. Paired with an upscale food menu prepared from the same kitchen as Harry's Downtown. If you would rather sit at a table as opposed to the open bar seating, it is recommended to make a reservation for the future. read more

Went with family for the first time and it's a nice establishment. Very clean and the service was great. The bathrooms were very clean also. We had a party of 5 and everything that we ordered was good. They have a limited menu but it's good. They have a couple beers on tap and plenty of mix drinks. We ordered the crab dip with pita chips was really delicious. Crab cake, steaks and the special which was a salmon dish. The steaks were cooked to perfection, salmon was cooked perfect and the crab cakes were very good. They also offer to validate your parking garage ticket. Will go back again. read more

Excellent! This place is awesome for food and drinks. While the menu is small, everything we tried was delicious. We started with the Tuscan Truffles, which are four mascarpone cheese balls, with baguettes and a sun dried tomato pesto. Small portion, but honestly it's the perfect size for an appetizer. Next I chose the filet with asparagus. Both were cooked exactly as they should be. The wife got Scallops and Parmesan Risotto. Since she doesn't like seafood, they put the scallops on a separate plate and gave them to me. She said the risotto is some of the best she has ever had. The scallops....no joke, cooked to absolute perfection. At the end, they offered us dessert and the wife chose the mango cheesecake. Just wow....we will definitely be coming back. Listen up, I rarely update reviews but Harry... you deserve it. The most recent visit was amazing. The food was top tier, seasoned perfectly, hot out the kitchen. The service was outstanding, even though we sat at the bar and I didn't make reservations during restaurant week.. oops!! Lucky for us two nice gentlemen made room for us and we had an outstanding time. Seated at the bar made no difference! We felt the attentiveness of the staff and the interaction made it an awesome dining experience. The sumac martini was amazing! I only had one but next time, I will add another. This is one of our favorite happy hour venues in Fredericksburg. The cocktails are elevated and interesting. The bartender, Savannah, is a mixologist and updated the cocktail list to include a variety of spirits and a mix of sweet and fruity along with more spirit forward. To our friend's delight, they carry premium varieties of whiskey and tequila. We also love the curated music list, everyone in our party heard something from their own playlists and genres. Tried this restaurant last night to support local businesses. Nice ambiance but under staffed. Two waitresses handled the bar and all the tables. While they tried hard there were too many people for them to serve in a timely manner. Ordered the mussels and it took 25 minutes to get. They were not editable so we sent them back. Had the Ribeye and it was undercooked and so full of fat I only ate a small portion. My son ordered the filet and it was over cooked. My wife and daughter in law had crab cakes which were average. The servers were gracious and offered to remove any items we were not satisfied with. read more

Awesome, Tasty, and Delicious! This place has an incredible selection of Bourbons (and other liquors - but who cares when you have Blantons, Angel's Envy and Woodford Dbl Oaked!). We tried a bunch of different dishes and they were all scrumptious. I had the Scallops and Risotto - both cooked to perfection. They do a great job on steaks - served just as you order them.
