We took it in and after telling us they can't fix it, they returned it with a check engine light on. This light was not on when we parked the car. They refused to fix it or even fully diagnose it without charging us more money. If the light was on when we dropped it off we would have asked about it but we didn't because it wasn't. They never mentioned the light to us at all until we got the car back, saw it and asked about it, and they said 60% of cars they see have lights on so they don't always say something. It's a mechanic shop! Why wouldn't you tell people what is wrong with their car and offer to fix it? Isn't that solely what you do? Also 60% of cars seems crazy high.. It feels like they were just hoping we wouldn't notice. We took the car in with one issue and got it back with two. What a horrible experience. As part of the changeover, the entire station and fueling areas received a complete facelift. I have been a customer here for the past 20 years, and have never had any problems. However, recently panhandlers have been approaching customers while fueling their vehicles and begging for money. This seems to be a problem along East Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti Township that needs to be dealt with. Thankfully, this location uses modern security cameras. If you need some chips, lottery tickets, or soft drinks, Beydoun's has that too. The workers at this service station are very friendly. Even the new gas pumps are fully modern, and you watch TV while you fill up.
