We drove all the way from Lynnwood to this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, enticed by the rave reviews we'd seen on social media. The establishment was very spacious, featuring multiple seating areas, a high ceiling, and stunning chandeliers. We were impressed by the extensive variety of food offered. I particularly enjoyed the sushi, especially the ikura and scallops, though it was disappointing that they didn't have uni. Beyond the sushi, we found the rest of the food to be just average. The clams and mussels still had sand in them, the BBQ ribs and steak were dry, and the deep-fried pork was tough. As for desserts, the crème brûlée and pudding were the highlights for me. The staff was friendly and efficient, promptly clearing our plates. Cannot beat the price though - $22.50 for seniors and $24.99 for adults on Sat-Sun. Even though I live about 140 miles away, in Vancouver, WA, I visit Harvest Buffet in Tacoma whenever I can. (Good thing I have a daughter who lives in the area, whom I'd like to visit.) For it is a popular place, packed with customers; the food rotation is great, keeping everything fresh. Sushi and Nigiri are fresh as they come, better than most sit-down sushi restaurants. For the price, I don't have any complaints about the restaurant. For the price of one bowl of Pho or an order of burger at another restaurant, I can enjoy countless different foods. read more

I think buffets are gross BC generally people are so unhygienic but the staff seemed to do everything they could do to keep things clean. The staff is very nice. Pretty decent buffet with a lot of options. Prices are decent too. Kids are charged by their age. I think they should charge by weight but that may be a bit controversial lol. At any buffet I always do a flyby of all their offerings and put together a strategy in my head. After all, I only have so much space and I want to make sure thats not wasted on the less important items. IOW, I ain't in my 20's anymore when I could get my 'moneys' worth at buffets. It's now about variety and options. Anyways... They have a sushi bar and it was pretty good. I generally start with any raw options. They had everything from nigiri to rolls to sashimi. Yes, sashimi! It was just salmon and tuna but it was fresh and delicious. I basically put an extra salmon on every roll that I got which just kicked it up a notch for me. They have a grill area. You can have them do a mongolian bbq style plate or grill any meats to your liking. They'll also grill veggies or anything raw items you find on the side there. This is where I spent most of my time. Everything was fantastic. Get creative! They have a noodle bar. I didn't get much here but if you like ramen or pho, you have those as options. They have a dim sum area with bao's, siu mai, and some other random steamed dumpling items. Honestly they all looked pretty sad so I didn't waste any space on them but they at least had it as an option if you're craving it. They had a great selection of fried goodness as well as chinese dishes. Anything from beef brocolli, chow mein, spare ribs, fried shrimp, fried chicken, even fried soft shell crab! Salad bar... yes. Desserts... yes, with ice cream! Overall, our entire family enjoyed our meal including the kids from 6-11. Just remember to pace yourself and get small amounts. They do police the plates well so a bunch of smaller plates are better than a few larger plates IMO. They do charge extra for drinks if you want a fountain drink. Or you can just opt for water. I saw this place recommended from a YouTube video and honestly, I didn't know if I should believe the review. But after having been here, I totally understand why this place is so highly recommended. First of all this place is the biggest buffet I have ever seen. There are rooms within rooms of seating and there are private rooms that you can rent out (while we were there, there was a large party in one of the side rooms.) There was a sign saying they are expanding so I can only imagine how big they will get eventually. You pay upfront when you walk in and you choose if you want to have a soda or not. Tip: there are coupons online that you can google and that can save you up to 10% or get a free drink. It took me 5+ minutes to even just walk around to all the different food stations and look at all the offerings. I think what sets this place apart is the fact that they have so many different stations such as a Mongolian grill, dim sum station, a chocolate fountain for dessert, a crêpe station, Hot food station, sushi station, and many more. I definitely recommend walking to all the different stations and lifting up the lids to see the offerings before diving in and getting food. Definitely pace yourself because you cannot possibly eat every single thing that you see. All the food tasted good and I was really impressed by the sushi that was put out and some of the meats that was in the hot station. They literally had a roasted beef where people can just cut pieces for themselves. There were also things like chicken feet and pig feet, and other things that I don't normally see at a buffet. I was so full that I didn't even get to try the Mongolian grill, but that is a whole meal in of itself so go for it if you're still hungry. I did have room for dessert since it's a separate stomach and I got to try a lot of their offerings. I really liked the taro and mango pudding And I appreciated that they had the tapioca and coconut pearl soup as well. I had the egg tart and I couldn't help myself but dip some fruit in the chocolate fountain too. One thing I will say is, I am not sure how sanitary everything is. At the chocolate fountain, there was a little kid using his fingers to dip so many things in the chocolate fountain and had a whole plate covered in chocolate and he was licking his fingers the whole time. Even in the meat cutting station , since the food sits out for a while, I'm not sure how protected it is from other germs. But coming to a buffet I anticipated this and it is what it is. At the low price of about $16 for a weekday lunch, it really is an incredible meal and I don't think I can find a better meal anywhere else in this area. Highly recommend and you will be set for the day. They do say there are more seafood offerings for dinner time but the price jumps up a lot so I'm not sure if it's as worth it to wait for dinner. read more

There are endless rooms and tables, and the staff is incredibly quick, always making sure our tables were cleaned before we got our next round of food. For an all-you-can-eat spot, the quality is surprisingly good. I especially enjoyed the Chinese-style hot food options, and the Mongolian BBQ station in the back was awesome. I went to Harvest for my birthday and I was really excited because I saw a promotional video on TikTok, unfortunately the food quality was.... Lackluster. While yes, they did have a wide variety of selection, a lot of the quality was either undercooked or overcooked, and flavoring was mild. I did however really like the chicken feet and kimchi. The desserts were not good and the Crème Brûlée was curdled. The bathrooms were disgusting, and children were running wild all over the restaurant. It's a buffet so keep that in mind (quality level: good buffet). Includes: sushi, Mongolian grill (make your own), noodle bar, some dim sum, soups, salad, fruit, ice cream, dessert, some cooked items that were both western and Panda Express like and some more legit cooked hot food. It's worth trying everything as some items look good but aren't great (shumai!) and other items I might not have tried but were pretty good (pistachio pudding! Lotus bun!) It's busy even on a Friday lunch, and I heard parking can be impossible on the weekend and at dinner (though the parking lot is large - shared with goodwill on 38th). Lunch is $15 ($15 including tax when you're military!) - doesn't include beverage (additional charge). More options at dinner and weekends (crab!) but also a higher price. I think it's kid friendly ish and also 2 and under are free I think? Had a lunch buffer meet-up with my friend at Harvest Buffet. A lot of variety and a huge selection and more that you can eat. All the food tastes are ok like the buffet level no more to ask for. Be aware of a lot of MSG that makes you very thirsty after the meal. The restroom did not have any warm or hot water to wash your hands and no heater at the restroom. The ambiance is nice and clean and the servers are kept up to take away the dirty plates. I would say I will be back but have to limit it by myself. This is one of the busiest buffet in the area. I know why.... $17 per adult that's really a deal and dinner is solved without a doubt. Plenty of option and most of the food are really tasty. I am not a fan of buffet as I easily get full but I must admit I'm pretty impressed in this one. My Tita Doris dragged us here and I'm glad I came! Haha. It's pretty spacious inside but I hope they put more airflow though. They even got rooms available to rent when an occasion called like company party or religious events. In fact when we get here Hawaiians gathered in one room celebrating something - their dresses looked so festive. Food is good. From Asian to western food culture all in here. Their dim sum choices aren't that great and their sushis looks dry. Love the area where you can let the staffs cook your food the way you want! Long queue ahead, have more patience though. Well we went here a couple of months ago and let me tell you it was such a waste of money first of all the staff were very rude and my brother is sensory and doesn't eat and we still had to pay for him even though we've eaten here before and never had to pay for my brother the food was not good the first 2 steaks i had were good but to much grease then i went back to have a 3rd steak and it was raw also they need a better system so the cooks can actually hear you because they talk so quiet i couldn't even hear what they were saying they need a microphone so they can hear instead of talking quietly or can't even hear you the rest of the food was not that good the fruit kinda had a bitter taste to it but deceant the bathrooms were pretty clean also the staff don't seem very happy they really don't have a smile the first 2 time we've had a good experience but that night sucked. Dessert selection was extensive and delectable. Everything prepared with attention and quality, which isn't always a "gimme" at buffets. So if we're JUST talking about buffet restaurants, I can still say this one is terrible. All the hot dishes were lukewarm at best, which means they are cold by the time you walk half a mile back to your table. The sushi had that gummy texture like grocery store sushi, which was weird because they do apparently make it in-house? Possibly the worst part is that all of the Chinese dishes for example, taste the same. Kind of bland except for salt and sugar, and that's about it. I've been to this place a few times now. In fact everytime I've been in Tacoma WA. The food is plentiful, pretty fresh and so many choices it'll actually make you sick should you try some of everything. Lol. Since I like to eat, I do attempt to try everything. The price for everyone is ranged on age, current or veterans, they support the Police, Fire, EMS I think I heard they also give a special rate for all medical staff ie nurses. I really like that certain places support the Nursing Staff. Seems they get left out of many things and it's certainly not because they don't bust their behinds saving lives. They were getting pretty backed up in n wait times to get to a table. The isles are pretty wide so you don't get trampled when trying to get to something. With the exception of kiddos running around and squeezing their ways to the food wheelchairs can freely pass. The kids reference was to be a joke though...... lol Seating is pretty good. They have certain areas depending on your group size and to be accommodating. Today we had 9 of us and we all fit at one round tables they have. The staff ensured that our empty plates were picked up and not waiting until after we leave. Very friendly and seems to like their jobs or so that's the impression I get. As far as noise levels, there was no music playing over the intercoms like other places so have a good communication with everyone at our table was easy. So as I said, the family never pass up this particular Chinese Buffet. At least one day/night of our trip.
