We've come here for breakfast and lunch. We came in and were greeted and given our table right away. They asked us what we'd like to drink as we went over the menu. I've tried their lighter breakfast with eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. The eggs and bacon were cooked well. The hashbrowns were dynamite-crunchy and soft throughout. I've also tried their cream cheese ragoons. You get 7 in an order. These were more on the mushy side but was still crunchy on the outside. Just not as crunchy. The chicken satay was sooo good! It came with a side salad of cucumbers and red onion in vinegar and this crack dipping sauce. The servers were attentive and kept checking for water and drinks. I'm a little surprised how good this place was. The service is really good. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. The portions were huge. My wife tried their breakfast and enjoyed it. Living in White Center, there is a variety of food options. I lived very close to 16th saw, with my young daughter. My neighbor was a professional pool stick maker. And, a complete hoarder. He lived off of going to restaurants. This was one of his favorite places, I believe he went almost every day for breakfast. He convinced me to try breakfast here. Bbq pork omelette was full of tender tasty pork. I cannot eat hard cooked meats and was hesitant to order this. It was soft and juicy. Country fried steak came with sausage gravy, hash browns, sausage and bacon. A very meat forward dish. The sausage gravy was on point and nicely seasoned. The gravy makes this dish and their version was delicious. Waffles were crispy and hot. Freshly made. Poached eggs were made very nice, with a soft runny center. Later came to try crispy garlic chicken, wonton soup, fried rice. The crispy garlic chicken had a generous serving. Wished it had a more pronounced garlic flavor. The broth on the wonton soup was flavorful, something that can be rare. There were two large wontons, with a flavorful filling and green onions floating on top. Fried rice was good, however I do not like corn and peas in my fried rice. Service is great here, they make an effort to make sure you are happy. Great food, both American and Asian. Hard to find this combination, especially with lower prices and well done. read more

Their pad sew eu looked and tasted like no pad sew eu I've ever tasted, the same steamed beef, highly inadequate sauce... I typically avoid restaurants that offer 3 separate types of cuisine (like Chinese, Thai, and American). But after hearing good things about Young's from many different friends with discerning palates, I decided to give it a shot. I was not disappointed! The "Chow mein" listed on their entree menu is actually Hong Kong style pan-fried egg noodles (or "jeen mein" in Cantonese). My favorite!! And it was delicious -- served piping hot and extra crispy, as it should be, with a heaping pile of sauced up veggies and protein. On a Tuesday at noon, the restaurant was probably half full with plenty of street parking outside. It's a clean, spacious, and well-lit dining area with attentive staff. In fact, the service was so good that I think the gals offered to refill our soft drinks more than four times in just over an hour. But they were very polite and we didn't feel rushed. My only regret is not trying Young's sooner. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes! read more

When the menu is pressed under the table glass, you know 2 things: 1. the restaurant is serious about its offerings 2. the menu doesn't change often because the dishes are classics. Because we went for Sunday brunch, we chose to go with American. Everything was done super well, from the eggs to the hashbrowns to the biscuit to the gravy. This is a great Asian Diner. Comfort food at reasonable prices and with generous portions. Pictures are after we already had served a portion to ourselves. The food tasted great. We had the daily special, a curry, with tofu and eggplant with chicken. The main entrees include the protein (extra for shrimp I think) but do not include rice. The eggplant was a little oily for us but it didn't detract from the flavor. Service was timely but we got there before the rush. They are short staffed according to a sign. We dropped by for dinner after browsing their online menu from their website, we were surprised that they had entrees for about ten dollars, well they actually didn't, entrees were about $15 which is inline with other restaurants. I suppose the prices on the website are dated, I'm including photos of the menu so that you know what to expect. We got four entrees. What I highly recommend is the crispy garlic chicken, if this was the only entree I had I would have given it five stars! The chicken was crispy and moist inside, delicious and a generous portion. The other three meals were not even close. The lo mein was the second favorite, with a huge gap, it was alright, the beef was chewy, not soft. I found the sweet and sour chicken disappointing, it wasn't crispy and there was too much sauce for my liking. Finally the garlic delight was not good, we did not finish it, a bit too salty and overpowered with garlic. Rice is extra. I noticed that they have lunch combo deals. Service was good and the restaurant has several tables for dinning in, but they were more busy with takeout orders, probably the delicious crispy garlic chicken. read more

Young's is so popular in White Center for all the right reasons. Their service, consistency, the endless options of food and the feel-good vibes you get when leaving this family run business! They opened in '82 and it has been the same ever since. I have been coming here since I was young for breakfast and would make small talk with the parents who owned the business and their children who were employed. 39 years later, they handed the torch to new owners yet it has still been the same taste and feeling I remember.. but with additions! I came here for the first time today since the transition and tried their Thai food. So delicious! I got their Pad Thai and Papaya salad, both 3 stars. They were very flavorful and spicy-- just how I like! I also got a Thai iced tea and it was delicious! This is going to be dangerous for my wallet! Their story is so inspiring. Young's is nothing short of AMAZING! My partner and myself started coming here last week after we moved to the neighborhood and will continue to come! The customer service is top notch, and it is locally owned and operated. Everyone is so friendly and they provide great table service. Janice is amazing and so is the entire staff that works there! They have both American food and Chinese food as well as an awesome brunch menu. The concept of American and Chinese food together threw me off, but God their breakfast and brunch is AMAZING and served all day! I have had both the biscuits and gravy with ham and the grilled cheese with ham and they both taste amazing. Young's has very superior quality when it comes to their food. We ordered the lunch combo of garlic delight w/beef (it includes a huge amount of rice + won ton soup). While the flavor was very good, I'd prefer if it had more 'sauce' to it. The won ton soup was wonderful. It was a great value. We also ordered the popular crispy garlic chicken for $15. Wow, it was excellent and they must have given us at least a pound of chicken! These two items provided two meals for each of us! Very good food and an excellent value. It's a fairly large restaurant for dine in. The kitchen was very busy with at least 4 people working. You get those perfectly crunchy noodles, put the sauce on to soften and get a flavor explosion! When you order to go, they do the right thing and keep the noodles separate from the broth/veggies/meat. My husband is obsessed w/ the almond chicken. The pork fried rice is delish, and not greasy, it's perfect. Wings are amazeballs. Dining in you get great service, take out is hot and fresh.
