We had lunch here and a wonderful experience! Greeted right away, explained how it works. All you can eat, no "to go of left overs" etc. Food was prepared right there in front of you and the chefs had a smile for you as they plated it all! Soup (2 kinds) hot and delicious. This place is a textbook case of dishonest business. And also a textbook case of how a good customer service should never be like. Food is pricy, but I'm good with it. Our grandkids love this joint. It's their customer service that gets me every time. IT SUCKS. For example, on our last visit there: After charging my card someone else's tab as well, I had to go hard to make our waitress void the tab. She kept hiding about it and she told me about the extra charge after I became a bit irate. Not only she never apologized, but also she acted very angrily. We won't come back here. read more

This place is mediocre at best. The food was quite the mess, they were very low or out of items entirely. It is run down and grungy and dirty where the kitchen area is. They were out of shrimp and fish. When we asked about it they said they'd refill it immediately. We were there almost an hour and it was never refilled, which was disappointing because that was one of the reasons my 7 year old granddaughter wanted to go. The spring rolls and potstickers were old and soggy. They didn't refill them the entire time we were there. There was 8 of us in our party so they added an automatic gratuity we were charged over 40.00 and didn't get one refill on our beverages. T.I.P stands for to insurance proper service, there was NO service. We will not be going back. We'll go to Federal Way and pay more. read more

I have visited Riverside Mongolian Grill a few times and ordered through a delivery app once. The dine in experiences have always been satisfying and delicious! However, receiving food from here through delivery was the most bland and awful experience of Mongolian Grill I have ever had. Additionally, the dine in experience so much better as you can eat as much as you like (though no leftovers), unlimited sides for your meal (soups, spring rolls, gyoza, white rice and ice cream) and plenty of seating. The ambiance isn't anything impressive but it seems well maintained enough. The bathroom is not gender neutral and has a weird layout, especially the women's bathroom. The lighting is amble and there are several fans everywhere, which was most appreciated as it can get pretty hot in there quick due to the grilling. The layout of different ingredients for grilling are plentiful with several types of noodles (spinach noodles included), proteins, vegetables and sauces. There were definitely some sanitary concerns as there were some discolored shrimp and different ingredients in bins that they don't belong in. However, they did for the most part look fresh. In addition, the staff were also good about refilling ingredients or the hot foods whenever it started to get low. Speaking of which, the staff members seemed polite and friendly. My boyfriend and I were very happy with our dine in experience. However, the cost for dinner was a lot despite the dinner options not being impressive enough to warrant the drastic price increase (squid, shrimp, and lamb). Went on a Sunday with Family 5 adults 2 kids. The price was $25+ for each of us. No break for kids. Be AWARE 18% gratuity tacked on for parties of 6 or more. Reasonably priced all you can eat. Great fresh choices and sauces that still have their flavor! We dropped in between lunch and dinner, so we had personalized service. Everyone ( hostess and cook) were very nice. Unlike most other Mongolian Grill restaurants, this one provides potstickers, soup and soft serve ice cream. My son works at Wal-Mart bringing in the carts so he brings home more germs then a pre-schooler, so the Egg drop soup/egg flower soup is hot upon arrival and very comforting. While I mentioned the spring rolls are most likely frozen I have decided for some reason I love them. I dip them in the soup or in left over sweet and sour sauce because that is one of the reasons it is not a 5star they do not offer any side sauces. read more

CHECK YOUR BILL AND CREDIT CARD CHARGE RECIPE!!!! The bill they show will not match what they are charging you. They added $10 for no reason to my bill in hoping that I would not notice. Looking at other Yelp reviews I am not the only one who they tried to cheat!!! As for the food? All of the sauces are watered down and flavorless. They are not even grilling right. They are grilling the veggie with the meat so the veggie are still raw. As for the soups? Salty as Hell. The place is way over priced for what you get before the upcharge. You can really eat a lot for a flat price here. You go to the back and grab multiple bowls of ingredients, which include different types of noodles, meats, veggies, sauces and condiments, and you get in line at the grilling area. You can apparently now also do fried rice instead. They have complimentary egg drop soup and egg roll/potstickers stations as well. My only complaint is how the elder server lady changes the ambiance. She was always hanging around, and it felt like she kept barking orders to rush us to eat and leave. read more

We went here for lunch and the food was delicious again.when we got done eating,we usually would have a bowl of ice cream and a fortune cookie.Well the ice cream machine was down and no more fortune cookies. I asked the server about this and she said that the ice cream machine would be fixed at some point and they weren't going to have fortune cookies anymore. The hostess is always nice and they're willing to help if you have any questions. Food is excellent - veggies are fresh, and meat of the quality expected for Mongolian Grill-style cooking - not Wagyu steaks, because it isn't a steak house :-) Ours was cooked just right - the veggies still had bite, but not raw/crunchy, the meat was well-done, but not drying out and chewy, and the noodles were just getting browned without being too charred. Over-doneness is a recurring problem at some Mongolian Grills - but not here. Service was very good - it is, of course, mostly self-service for the main dish(s), but help was offered wherever it looked like we might need it, and drink refills were prompt. It is about a 40 minute drive from our home - but well worth it for us - will definitely be going back! read more

A fun simple spin on Mongolian Grill! Come hungry to justify the price, which compared to other places really isn't bad. You can do takeout too (get one bowl of food for the flat rate for takeout if I understand it) which is a nice touch. It's a simple setup, no fuss, you're coming in for the Grill. They're friendly, you get seated very quickly, and they grill faster than most of the places I've gone to, which at this point I'm realizing is quite a few since I have no attention span with food and these allow me to play with flavors and textures many times in one sitting. The ingredients you build your own plate with are fresh and varied enough you're only disappointed if you're not creative or good with mixing flavors. I was impressed with the sheer amount of sauce ingredients, and the added bonus of gyoza, spring rolls, soup and whatnot was an excellent touch! Never had that added before. There's no way you're leaving hungry unless you're a nightmare picky eater or a black hole, there's just too many options. It's clean, but not pretentious in any way so casual is best. I loved the clientele, laid back is an understatement. Parking is awesome, and they were prompt with the bill without making us feel rushed in any way. Tip your grill master! Tip your waitress! The food is okay. We tried the all-you-can-eat buffet. Some items in the buffet were low, so if you wanted any you'd have to scrape the bottom of the bin with tongs. The drinking water was stagnant and tasted like mildew. The overhead music was live radio that wasn't properly tuned into and played through crackling speakers. We got the bill while one of us was still on our first serving, and it was the wrong bill. The food was prepared and plated quickly, and the staff was polite. I wouldn't suggest bothering with the complimentary veggie egg rolls, they barely had anything inside. Oh my gosh food was delicious! We ordered the make your own wok to go special for the pandemic, and were very pleased with everything start to finish. I messaged the restaurant prior driving over and received a helpful and pleasant response. We were really happy with the quality, taste and portion size of the food. There will be plenty of leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Mongolian grill is my favorite. We normally go to Jasmine in federal way because it's so much closer, but they have been closed so I was so excited to try Riverside Mongolian grill and loved it so much, that we will likely make this our regular place when things reopen. I hope the to go option for the Mongolian grill remains on their menu because it has always been my most desired take out craving and I've been hard pressed before this pandemic to find a place that did take out create your own Mongolian grill. The one and only thing I can give credit for is that the portions are generous. I ordered through GrubHub and the food arrived hot, so it wasn't due to delivery. The gyōza was plump, but tough, rubbery, and flavourless. The egg flower soup was thick and full of veggies and egg, but had no flavor. The build your own yakisoba noodles were plentiful, with loads of veggies, but there was little meat and I ordered chicken but got beef. I had it with onion, bell Peper, celery, cabbage, bean sprouts, and their sweet sauce. Again, the dish lacked flavor. The rice, which is complimentary, was hard and clumped together. Their prices are steep for the quality, but if you're really hungry and not worried about taste, they're perfect. read more

This is probably our third time here within the last 6 years. It's like pulling teeth, trying to convince my health-conscience-husband to go any where that's All-You-Can-Eat, especially because he cannot control himself ... but he leaves with a smile here every time. Being from Federal Way, we have two other Mongolian Grill places. However, Riverside Mongolian beats them in cleanliness, quality, and service. It blows our mind that the other places charge so much more, like $3-5 a person, but the quality of the food at Riverside is so much better. I always put the same ingredients in: Spinach noodles and regular noodles, bean sprouts, mushrooms, pineapple, celery, a sprinkle of broccoli, beef, house sauce, Mongolian sauce, 5 ladles of garlic, oyster sauce, and hot chili oil. Same plate every place, but it everything just tastes so much better here. Everything appears every clean. They have self-serve soup station and a soft-serve ice cream machine that are well kept. They also have gyozas and vegetable egg rolls. Even the bottles of Sriracha at my table was flawless! No dried up gunk like you see at a lot of Asian restaurants. After today's wonderful experience, my husband has agreed we can travel to Puyallup once a month for the best Mongolian Grill around. read more

Do not go here with kids. I was charged for my 2 year old. Other than that, I definitely enjoyed going to the place but all of a sudden, I was charged for a toddler who had two spoons of rice and ice cream. I can not express how impressed I am with this place! The price includes AYCE pot stickers, spring rolls, soup, and ice cream! The noodle, sauce and vegi options were outstanding, and the quality of the meat options were unmatched! The service was very fast and curtious and the price was CHEAPER then anywhere I've been!
