Our dinners came with pan fried chicken or pork chow mein and I'm not a big fan of chow mein but our server said for a little extra money $1!) I could substitute extra almond chicken. We had heard good things about the Hong Kong garden and after $48.00 for lunch which consisted of two individual meals, his was egg roll pork fried rice sweet and sour chicken mine was lo Mein with sweet and sour chicken It was tasteless, lacking salt/soy sauce. Everything tasted the same. I will say the veggies in the lo mein were fresh. Only positive thing I can say . I love this vintage Chinese style restaurant. The service was as great as the food and the cocktails(chefs kiss). The family meal option is a TON of food so be prepared for leftovers. I am so glad I found this place! I've been feeling nostalgic for the American Chinese food from my hometown, but had yet to find anything similar until now. Hong Kong was exactly what I wanted. The egg rolls were so crispy with flavorful filling. The BBQ pork chop suey tasted just like my hometown restaurant. The almond chicken had slightly thinner gravy and less flavor than I'm used to, but it was still good. They went pretty light on the sweet and sour sauce too, which was also thinner, but still tasty. We've been loyal customers here in the past and used to recommend this restaurant to friends after our first few wonderful experiences. Unfortunately, the last two orders have been incredibly disappointing. Back in January, we placed a large order for six people and were missing nearly half of it: six soups, six gyoza, two egg rolls, all the honey walnut shrimp, and all the Mongolian beef. Upon realizing this, I called and spoke with Angela at 4:15 PM that day, and she promised they would make it right on our next order. Tonight, I gave them that chance. We ordered the $28.50 meal for TWO and were given a portion just enough for one person. When I mentioned the prior issue, the woman who answered the phone laughed at me and said it wasn't her I spoke with last time, so I needed to talk to someone else. Basically, "Not her problem." As a former small business owner, I take reviewing seriously. Mistakes happen, and I gave them grace once, but the way this was handled shows a complete lack of customer care and accountability. I won't be making the mistake of ordering here again. Save your money; there are far better places that respect their customers and stand behind their service. read more

When I went to pay it was 21.01.i order from there because I can't eat it all at once and they used to package everything separately. The menu said it came with fried rice. So disappointed. On top of that, they force you to order from their "dinner combos" and won't let you customize anything. If you want something specific like orange chicken, you have to buy it separately for $18, and then they charge another $10 just for a side of fried rice. This little cozy gem of a restaurant not only has the best tasting food, the customer service was awesome and inviting. The parking is okay. It can't be a bit cramped on a busy day. I have been here many times for chow mein. It is good. Today I upgraded to a seafood combo with crab, scallops, & shrimp. The crab had the flavor and texture of shredded napkin. When we got home, which is in Graham, we noticed we didn't get the soup that was supposed to be included. I'm not one to leave reviews but this place fed me the worst food to ever touch my tongue in my entire existence. Fried rice tasted like they scientifically removed every ounce of flavor from it. The chicken in my fired rice was pale and flavorless. It pains my soul to think that I wasted $50 at this restaurant. I'd rather purposely flush money down the toilet than eat here again.
