Ordered the food for delivery through Grubhub and it was the worst food we've ever had. Don't waste your time or money. The sandwich and wrap was prepared wrong. The serving sizes are abysmal. The popcorn chicken was dry and chewy. The fries were cold and stale. Grease dripping off of everything but somehow everything was still cold? Also don't waste your money on paying for the sauces. They were a knockoff brand of the sauces you'd expect from a Burger King and had no flavor. Don't be fooled, the picture shows two orders of popcorn chicken. Absolute waste and extremely disappointing!

The way in which I audibly gasped when I took a bite of my sandwich from Hatch & Coop had my co-workers staring like I had three heads. Completely and utterly impressed with this place. I was worried that there was not a single customer inside this establishment when I walked in, but that didn't deter me from ordering food. My to-go order was placed through the kiosk at the front and I paid using my debit card. I got fries with dipping sauce, an eggplant sandwich and a seltzer water. I waited about 10 mins for the food to be ready. Nothing really stood out to me about the fries, except that they reminded me of fries from McDonald's. They were salted and still hot when I ate them. The eggplant sandwich, however... WOWZA! A slice of eggplant seasoned and fried on a King's Hawaiian roll. One bite and I was ready to go to town. It was nice that the cole slaw and sauce were in separate containers because I could see how the sandwich could get soggy if both were already on the sandwich. I had about a 10 min walk back to my office and it was still crispy and in tact. Not much to say about the seltzer as it was an average black cherry flavored club soda. They had a variety of beverages to choose from in the cooler. The staff was friendly and efficient. I'll be back and will possibly dine in next time!

This is my second time trying Hatch and Coop and I really wanted this to be a go to for late nights but somehow the food and service is worse than last time. This is one of the only late night spots in Philly. If you have no other option please just Uber eats from Wawa, take the short trip to one of the many taco spots in South Philly, or just go to bed hungry. The chicken and waffles are served on a liege style Eggo waffle. It's literally an Eggo waffle I watched the cook rip it out the pack. The Hatch sauce is good but I could not get over paying that much for a freaking frozen waffle and probably a frozen chicken tender. It's very much a gentrified fast food spot. The best thing about this place is the cute light they have out the front with their logo in it. There's just a few tables lined up on the back wall. They do have touch screen ordering but I wouldn't dare touch one on any late night. And it's usually packed so it's best to order online. Again skip this place. The food is nothing to call home about and it's not going to be the remedy for your hangover. The security guard was also one of the most rude people I have ever encountered. I completely understand he has to deal with drunk people but it is never an excuse to be nasty to a customer or to staff. He was so rude to one of his coworkers I couldn't believe it. If I hadn't already received my food I would have requested a refund from his attitude alone.

This was such a cool late night find! I really Would love to have one in DC. And it would actively help to make that happen! :) The choices were great and delicious. And the music made it almost like a late night club scene.

After first walking in, I felt like I was in a run down, poorly maintained kitchen that probably shouldn't be open. Most surfaces were dirty and the cook top didn't look any better. The staff was kind and quick (we were the only people inside). One cook was there the whole time, two other cooks came and went for some reason? The fried chicken in my chicken sandwich was a little dry/overdone, but honestly I was happy because I was fairly worried about food poisoning. The fries were bland, no salt or seasoning. The sauces I ordered for my meal came pre-packaged, nothing made inside the kitchen. I was actually happy everything was prepackaged/cooked so I knew it was sealed and not contaminated. The overall experience was fine. I didn't get sick, but I won't be going back there again.

Cute little spot for breakfast food. Seems to be A take on the classic "chicken and waffles "paradigm. Service is efficient and the staff are friendly. Ordering is via kiosks or online prior to arrival. Sitting at this particular location is actually pretty decent... Especially for downtown Philly. We shared the chicken and waffles, the hatch, and tater tots. All of it was amazing! They have a variety of spicy sauces and toppings to choose from if you want some heat! Would absolutely return next time we are in Philly. On weekdays it's not very crowded even during breakfast rush.

Oh my goodness...You need to try Hatch & Coop. This is one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The workers at this location are super friendly and provide great recommendations. My favorite sandwich was the Coop since I loved the slaw mix pairing and the chicken was so tender. The fried pickles were also excellent and perfectly crispy along with the homemade house sauce. The service was quick! Highly recommend this place if you want high quality large sandwiches for pretty decent prices.

Since I was last here, they added in self-ordering kiosks, which would theoretically improve ordering speed, except that they did so at the cost of not taking orders at the counter. Understandably, this was to help out the large flood of Doordash pickups coming through, but it was slower as most people take a lot longer to choose when self-ordering. Food came out fast, and was delicious! I ordered the Sandwich Combo, and it came out hot and fresh. Fries here are literally addictive-- I don't know why but I just keep eating and then eat my friends' fries too. Overall this location is well-decorate and kept clean. However, it's a lot more chaotic here with all the Doordash pickups coming through. I'd have retreated to the side of the restaurant to have a little reprieve from all the folks coming in and out. But overall, still a great place to eat!

My sister and husband liked their classic chicken sandwich but both agree that it needs to come with some kind of spread like mayo or maybe a house sauce to kick the roll up a notch. I also had an empanada on my ride home as a treat and boy was it - hot, crispy, and flavorful. I also like that the prices are kept down some by making a drink optional especially with the prices of soft drinks in Philly. The gentleman who took my order was very nice, patient, and helpful. The atmosphere is like a traditional fast food vibe. In the area? Check Them Out! I look forward to a return trip for their fried chicken, their unique sides, and their chicken bowl :0)

I found out that Pollo Campero recently opened and wanted to check it out. After doing a search on…read morethe chain, they advertise that they were among the top ten fast food chicken restaurants in the nation. The chicken I tried was decent, but not necessarily a big favorite of mine. Located in a former KFC which was closed for years and a Boston Market that never came to fruition, when I drove by a little before 2pm it was like a major event with traffic blocking Frankford Avenue, and a long line out the door. I decided anyway that if people like this place that much, I should wait it out. I parked my car (DO NOT PARK AT 7/11 or AutoZone - you'll get towed) and got in line. By the time I got to the entrance door, the line had grown even larger and snaked around the restaurant. Once inside, it was a mini amusement park ride with another line before getting to the cashier. Total time in line for me was about 75 minutes. If I took a shot with the drive through, it may have been a bit shorter, but I wanted to check out the inside of the place. Pollo Campero must be huge with the Hispanic population. I think I was the only non-Spanish speaker. The long line was well behaved and thankfully the weather was quite good with a full breeze. The restaurant had multiple staff in safety vests to direct traffic and one was at the door making sure that nothing got out of hand by restricting people entering the place. The clean place was packed with families, and the buzz was palpable. The two cashiers were asking people lots of questions and the young and friendly cashier I had was very soft spoken which required me to ask her to repeat a lot of the questions. I ended up getting a bunch of different things just to try and get a flavor of many different foods. I got a 4-piece mixed grilled and fried chicken, a chicken sandwich, and a 3-piece empanadas. Sides with everything I chose the rice, beans, coleslaw, and plantains. Overall, I liked all the food (I didn't eat all of it, just tried) and will have some for later meals. The fried chicken was crispy and I liked the grilled chicken more. Loved the plantains. The coleslaw was mayo based and had a kick to it. The chicken sandwich was dry and needed sauce on the average roll. I liked the empanadas but my wife was not impressed. They were full of chicken and they had a mustard like sauce inside which I enjoyed. The rice was bland, and beans were flavorful. It was about $36 total for everything. They have Pepsi products here (thumbs down) and also a machine with a trio of other choices (see my picture)! Pollo Campero is not my newest most favorite fried chicken place. But the food was good, and they have a loyalty program if you get their app. They also do catering. When i did a search, they appeared to be all over the Trenton, NJ area so I don't know if this is their first Philadelphia location. Anyway, I wish them much luck in the business. I'm sure the Popeyes across the street was jealous with Pollo Campero's huge outpouring of customers!

So far, everything has always been good: the delivery is on time, the food is hot, and the order is accurate. I like the tikku garlic soy and original garlic spicy chicken. The seasonings are so flavorful, and the chicken is so crispy and juicy. The original garlic spicy is pretty spicy, so be careful if you have low spice tolerance. If you really like onions (I do not), go for the snow onion or green onion chicken. If you like gizzards or are adventurous, the fried gizzards are so flavorful and good. Add some pickled radish to cleanse your palette and balance the flavors - it really helps on cutting the heat if you are eating something spicy. Korean fried chicken is a bit of a splurge, but it is so good and so worth it. The chicken has plenty of meat, and you get a decent amount of food. Once you have Korean fried chicken, you may not want to go back to American fried chicken because the crispiness and flavor cannot be beaten.
