Haunted Mansion Holiday is one of my favorite seasonal overlays at Disneyland and it never fails to make me smile. The mix of spooky Haunted Mansion vibes with The Nightmare Before Christmas somehow works perfectly and feels both festive and delightfully weird. Every room is packed with details, so even if you ride it multiple times, you still notice something new each visit. It manages to feel cozy, creepy, and cheerful all at once, which honestly should not be possible. Whether you are there for the holiday spirit or just want a ride that feels completely transformed, this version of the mansion is always a must.

The amount of extra decorations that has to be put on the mansion from outside to inside is just insane! It looks amazingly beautiful with all the Nightmare Before Christmas which came out back in the 1993 era! So long ago but such a fun movie. The mansion has Jack and many characters inside so hopefully you can find them all! If you have never been during the holidays you must go check it out for yourself! It is a treat to see.

When has there been a limit to check ins?!?!

A trip to Disneyland is not complete without heading to the haunted mansion!!! A Disneyland staple that we've grown to thoroughly enjoy! Once inside you stand until you are allowed into another room that is more roundish octagon where the elevator ride begins. If you are nauseated or have vision or movement issues. Closing your eyes helps as you really do not feel the elevator effect. Then you are shuffled and funneled into the sitting ride portion of the mansion. The pack you like sardines, so if you are worried about COVID or getting sick from something else, there was plenty of people still wearing masks. Perfect for all ages and not too bad for those visually impaired. Unfortunately was restricted from checking in to here last night.

This is a must visit on any Disneyland trip. Note you need a reservation to go on this ride now! They are remodeling the grounds, so access is limited. There's no longer a line, they put you into groups and then call you up when your group number is called, which is all done through the Disneyland app. Make sure you snag a reservation as soon as possible, because they fill up immediately and if you're at the end, your chances of making it on the ride before the park closes isn't good. The theme of course is the "Nightmare Before Christmas" merged with the Haunted Mansion, which is unique and tons of fun. This special theme only lasts through January, so if you want to check it out, make sure to visit when Disneyland is all decked out for the holidays!

We happily went to ride in January and it was still The Nightmare Before Christmas themed. The front has been remodeled, added more space for the wait line. Its just a tad different but still nice. Like a glass menagerie/greenhouse with crystal glass spheres on the lawn and iron work designs. There are a lot of really nice statues as well. As for the ride, it never gets old! I love how they redesign everything for the Holidays to add The Nightmare Before Christmas storyline and characters. From the outside, to the elevator, down to Sally requesting for you to come back. Though I have to admit the paintings that change in the hallways aren't as great as the original Haunted Mansion ones but still nice. Thats only because I like the darker images. But still, its all awesome!

This is a fun way to celebrate the holidays! Very popular and the lines are ridiculously long for the general public! Always too short but enjoyable! The new que area is well done with lots of fun decor!

Haunted mansion Holiday attraction is so fun during spooky season as well as Christmas time. It's also fun when not decorated with the nightmare before Christmas theme. On my trip I decided to wait in line and not purchase a lightening lane entry. It was a Friday midday during Halloween time at Disneyland, and the walk thru the queue took about 30 minutes. It was neat to look at the decor. It moved quickly. The ride is okay for little ones , even babies in my opinion. Children can let their imagination wander and may be quite scared of being scared. If this is the case , Disney+ has a little ride "walk thru" film and you can show them that on your tv at home or any device that you get Disney+ to see how they might feel about getting on the slow moving ride. It's very accessible for people with mobility issues as well. It's very dark in some areas and pretty vibrant in others. All in all it's a nice way to cool off or warm up or get out of the rain as this is an indoor ride. If crowds or claustrophobic areas are not ideal for you , then avoid this attraction. Happy Haunting!

Haunted Mansion Holiday ride and set up, Jan 3, 2025.

We look forward to the Haunted Mansion Holiday ride and set up every year. It's an amazing showcase of The Nightmare Before Christmas with Jack and Sally, The Headless Horseman and the many different types of Jack O' Lanterns to name a few. We visited on the first Friday of the New Year, 2025. It was a good time for our visit since the park was not congested. We were able to get on the Haunted Mansion 3x during this visit. Our wait times weren't long. The first time was a 20 to 25 minute wait. Then we decided to go again and the wait time was less than 20 minutes. Our third time getting on the ride was around 9:15pm which was a breeze. We also liked the fact that the garden and cemetery were newly renovated with some new pieces and headstones.

One of my favourite rides in the park year round but especially during Halloween. The scenery is amazing both inside and outside the ride and it never fails to amaze us. They pump in gingerbread smells as you pass the dancing ghosts in the dining room and it's just so nostalgic. The only negative aspect of this ride is that it regularly stops when I'm on it. I'm not sure I've ever been on a smooth ride and I've done it a lot!

Haven't even gone through Halloween it's Christmas already!

I was so excited to really get a spooky adventure. It was closed down for a while. The last two times we came to Disneyland we couldn't ride it. Was excited to get the spooky haunted mansion in October. I don't know why I didn't think about it nightmare before Christmas is Disney, so they made it Christmas Halloween. I was not a big fan. I really just want to enjoy one season at a time. I don't like it when they blend together. My favorite part was the wheelchair Accessibility makes you go up the elevator and see the ride going reverse it's really cool.

The staff was really friendly and even asked if we wanted it less scary or really scary. I chose "less scary" because of the two girls with us that were afraid :P‍ That said it was still eerie and had a good amount of scares. The best part is (again) the style of costumes and viewpoint of horror, spirits and ghosts in Asia. I won't spoil the specific scares but there is one part in particular where I had an "oh hell nah!" moment 0_0 The maze seemed kind of short, maybe 7 minutes, but i wasn't counting. There weren't really any extravagant special effects which could be good or bad depending on the person. I feel a haunted house can be good without all of the over-production. That said, this does feel like a lower-budget haunted house, but at $15, I found it to be worth it and my group had fun too I hope this maze gets more business because it could be a little bigger and get more staff for scaring. It's such a refreshing take on haunted houses though and I want this place to be around for more Halloweens!

I understand they don't have much room to work with as far as set pieces, so if you're looking for themed rooms or facades like the hayride, this is definitely not for you. Given how long the wait was last night (though understandably as it was the Saturday before Halloween), versus how much time was spent actually experiencing what the haunt had to offer, I just don't think this experience was worth the price tag. Speaking of the price tag real quick, I also struggled to understand the validity behind their pricing tiers online. The prices change based on what time you say you're going to be there in line for the attraction. But it didn't seem to matter. I played the honest game, and bought the ticket for the time I said I could arrive , but I think I spent an extra $15 for absolutely no reason. I don't think $44 is worth a car wash and 5 minutes of interaction with actors. In my opinion they still could have made this a 4 star haunt if they hired more actors. There were SO many cars in line once you got on the car wash property and I think it was grossly misused by keeping their actors in one small area.

This attraction had me screaming, ducking, and jumping all from inside a train. Allowing only small groups (4 can comfortably fit in the train) really intensifies this experience! This ride should definitely NOT be missed! "Phobias" is a walk through INTERACTIVE maze! The line took a little longer because they only allow small groups in.. you'll see why! It's pretty fun and kept me on my feet. You literally experience some common phobias so proceed with caution! I refused to do certain things because like I said, I am a chicken! Thankfully my BF and a random guy who went thru with us completed the tasks! I appreciate how the walk through is built and all the surprises inside! "Evil on 2" is a haunted hotel themed walk through maze. The concierge walked us in to a big, dark room (it looked like what used to be the loading dock) and I instantly became scared! I like how this maze is different from other attractions due to utilizing department store stuff. The scare actors inside also did a great job hiding in unexpected places which sent me running away screaming! Overall, I think Sinister Pointe did a GREAT job! My experience may differ being a scaredy cat and having a small crowd which meant no more than 4 people grouped together in each attraction. I look forward to what Sinister Pointe offers next year!

I must say this maze had me since the queue. Lining up, attendees observed a cemetery, complete with a friendly caretaker. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=0soEAYcpKJ3cnorgeAxJMA https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=w8-l0MpNgr93r1VGGyNHSA https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=uV2S5io-aK7bqoy6p-CpZA Once near the entrance, various Calico city officials stated the various crimes against Sarah Marshall and led chants of "Hang that witch!". https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select_video=tFH1ORB2hcC0EXkXusihqg Inside, the meticulously detailed sets were captivating, starting at the courthouse, then to the town jail, and so on & so forth through the fictional Old West town of Calico. Haunted CGI mirrors of Sarah Marshall were strewn about, along with a creepy baby for good measure. 2 "scary groots" near the end were simply adorable! The piece de resistance of the maze is also quite cool, which I won't spoil. Origins - The Curse of Calico is a worthy new addition to the scare mazes at Knott's Scary Farm, hence the posted 45 minute wait the first of two times I visited the maze. The place settings & decor are quite convincing, and warrant a second trip, of which I managed to do close to when the park was closing. Since this is the final year for Special Ops:Infected, Origins - The Curse of Calico may be my new favorite Knott's Berry Farm scare maze. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/originsthe-curse-of-calico-buena-park-2?select=Cmo99ppTKNbTSFEd6_hUEQ Highly recommend!
