The Blue Fairy, Figaro the cat, Gepetto and Pinocchio are endearing scenes in this ride. However it seems some of the rides from the 50's might have disturbing or downright scary characters like the evil queen or witch in Snow White, and the boys turned into a donkey at the amusement park in Pinocchio. The one good thing is there is not a long wait to get into this ride. If you're exhausted or need to escape from the heat you might want to sit a spell or even catch a couple winks on this ride.

Not My favorite of the just past the castle rides. None the less it's legendary and not to be missed. Ride is super clean. Cast members could not be more kind. Lines can get long during daylight hours. Give it a whirl you won't be disappointed.

Our family of 4 enjoyed reminiscing scenes from this beloved classic film made into a ride! Pinocchio definitely teaches you a lesson about stretching the truth, he learns the hard way when he turns into a donkey on Pleasure Island! I take care of kids for a living and my favorite song to sing to them from the film is actually Disney's theme song, "When You Wish Upon A Star!" This classic song won an Academy Award for Best Original song in 1940! So basically what I'm saying is, you can't visit Disneyland without going on this ride! We are looking forward to returning! SYOY! :D

Pinocchio's Daring Journey is one of those classic Disneyland rides that is somehow both charming and mildly terrifying. It starts out innocent enough, but then suddenly you are dodging donkeys, getting swallowed by a whale, and wondering how this made it into the Fantasyland lineup. The storytelling is quick and a little chaotic, but that is part of the fun. The set pieces are nostalgic, the line is usually short, and there is something kind of comforting about the old-school effects. It is not the flashiest ride in the park, but it is a quirky favorite that is worth a stop if you want a break from the bigger thrills.

    A must ride

This is what I consider the best ride in Fantasy Land for your buck due to the fact that there is literally no line. Being a unique ride that is only available in SoCal, it's a must when you visit Disneyland. It is a dark ride by design that takes you through the life of Pinocchio. Come in and enjoy the details that are appreciated from original Disneyland Design. If you dare take the chance to journey through time, you'll be amazed. Children are in awe during the ride just enough to keep that magical feeling at the park.

As other Disney Golden Age movie themed rides in Fantasyland, Pinnochio's Daring Journey, has a Cottage village theme outside. I also enjoy the layout and choices of plants. Very nice. Inside it gets pretty dark, not just in shadows but theme. I always cringe when Lampwick turns to reveal he's a donkey lol. And all donkeys crying in Pleasure Island..yeesh! Its true to the animated film and a warning to naughty kids lol Love how they fit Monstro in the ride as well. Still a great ride imo.

In fantasy land, there are four story book attractions with Peter Pan's Flight being the most popular. Every time I do this attraction, I find it lackluster comparing to those around it. This may interest kiddos more, but has little nostalgia for me to enjoy on my regular trips to Disney as a magic key holder.

This was my least favorite ride in Fantasyland. Having learned that there is more legroom in the front seat than in the back I gave my husband the front so he would be more comfortable. This is a short ride focusing on the the bad things that happened to Pinocchio. You see him being used as a puppet in a carnaval show and then later seeing him transformed into a donkey over on Pleasure Island with his friend Lampert. You also get a brief encounter with him inside Monstro the whale. You really don't see much of Geppetto or the blue fairy until the end. Was hard to tell in the ending scene if he really looked like a real boy. Then of course my personal favorite-Jiminy Crickett. Seems they should showcase more of him since he was Pinocchio's conscience. It's about at 2 minute ride and near some of the other kid immersive Fantasyland attractions. Take it in as long as you are visiting Fantasyland but I wouldn't wait in line for it.

A great dark ride that has been updated a bit but apparently it's a classic here. It's one of the early rides. It's here before you know it and I honestly think it's weak but at least with regular maintenance and updates it stays timely enough.

This is one of the smaller rides and it is very dated but while it is dated, you can tell that they still care about this ride! The ride itself is a small ride that has a lots of turns and it is a nice little paced ride. The design of this really makes you feel as if you are living through the movie and the feeling of you actually being in the movie, which is a lot of fun! There are quite a few little surprises in the ride and it is really cool seeing the fairy appear and disappear as if she was coming out of thin air! It is a quick ride and is over relatively fast so I would not recommend waiting in this line if the line is over... honestly 15 minutes. I would spend that time waiting in line for another much better ride such as Matterhorn or space mountain!

Every time my daughter and I visit Disneyland, we typically ride Pinocchio's Daring Journey several times. It's a small ride, but we are big Pinocchio fans. This ride is also local to Disneyland. Disney World does not have a version of the Pinocchio's Daring Journey ride. Located inside Fantasyland, it's right next to Snow White's Enchanted Journey. The queue is typically short for this ride. We haven't had to wait longer than 10 minutes. If you ride Pinocchio's Daring Journey early in the morning, there typically is no wait time. The ride is a dark ride and it takes you through the Pinocchio's journey, very similar to the movie. It does go through how Pinocchio started and his voyage through the carnival and Monstro. It's a slow ride, classic, and not too short. If you're visiting Disneyland for the first time and only have a limited amount of time available, you should try to ride this and most fantasyland rides early in the morning!

A fun ride that takes you through the movie in 2 minutes. I definitely love my character rides so if you enjoyed the movie you will like this one!

Pinocchio's Daring Journey shows you the darker side of Pinocchio's story.

A few tips if its your first time to Disneyland. 1) Entrance lines go pretty quickly if you have your bar code ticket ready in the app. Note, its an option but you can get your pic taken at that time, upon entry 2) Always use your Disney app to know what rides may be down for maintenance. 3) To order food, there's an option in app to order food in advance with pickup times. Super helpful if you want to avoid standing in line. This isnt for restaurants but Quick Order eateries. 4) Know you routes around Disney. If you know walking routes to each land, it can save you a good amount of time. 5) Use app for parades, character photo ops, other entertainment times. 6) Always plan out your day at Disney or you will get frustrated being in all the lines. 7) Dont be shocked at prices for food, prices for merch, prices for everything. While I had not heard too much about it, I dedicated my whole day to exploring DLR and wanted to make the most of it. That being said, I purchased a Park Hopper ticket and made my way over after spending the first have the day in DL. Opened in 2001, DCA was not an immediate hit at its debut. In fact, it took a major facelift in order to start gaining some traction in terms of park attendance. The park is Disney's interpretation of California, separated into different lands based on regional areas of the state or by Disney IP. Some of the strongest areas IMO are San Fransokyo Square, paying homage to the Asian heritage in SF, and Pixar Pier which is a huge area combining Disney-Pixar theming with vintage California coastal vibes. While I feel this is the more adult park when comparing it to DL, there is a lot for kids to do here as well. There's a also a strong selection of attractions, and the shopping and dining are also decent. I took a spin on the parks icon - the Pixar Pal-a-Round, which provided awesome views of the park and greater Anaheim area. If comparing DCA to DL, it's my opinion the former is the stronger park - the theming and types of attractions speak to me more. Overall, I thought DCA was great - it's definitely an enhancement DLR as a whole, and I would no doubt return next time I plan a visit here.

Previously, I had attended during an unfortunate time when the kiddy pool was being closed down to be shocked multiple times. Back to back. Incidents that shut the pool down for hours at a time and then caused my health to also be affected thereafter.... I came back for this visit since my kids' Cub Scout group was celebrating their year end achievements and it was a great opportunity to join our community and give it another shot for the kids. They also were older and not on the baby pool. Well, I'm so glad I did. Despite the renovations going on, things seemed more organized and clean. The check- in process was much more streamlined and efficient and our rooms were ready and clean (no carpets!! Yay clean room!) with a view that wasn't great since the climbing area was literally right outside, but the kids loved it! Everyone still gets their free wolf ears too. The restaurant breakfast buffet had staff around to mind all the little and big hands reaching for food and we had a "breakfast taco bar" the family really enjoyed. The pool is full of flavors for all age levels and adventurers but a treat for me was seeing the outside pool area- there were loungers in the water, shaded regular seats, cabanas and no echos. It was like a resort! Inside is louder and humid while outside is full sun but open. Something for everyone. Lots of fun free and paid activities so be sure to check the schedule. We took part in story time (free) and yoga (free). I also appreciated the midweek crowd level even for a summer. I recommend you give it a try to see if it's a fit for your family! Okay thanks bye

The free games were the blue tap games, so you don't earn tickets, but there were still a ton of fun options. We didn't even come close to using the full 3 hours because there was so much to do. My favorites were the basketball games and Connect 4 basketball. We played a few rounds of laser tag, which was super fun, but a lot of the equipment seemed broken that day. They also couldn't split us into teams, so everyone was playing individually instead. The go-karts were really fun for a group we got a whole round to just our coworkers. Some of the karts definitely felt faster than others, which made things interesting. We also did mini golf, and the course was much bigger than I expected. It took quite a while to get through all the holes. One thing to note is that the rides don't always have staff standing by them. If you want to ride something, you may have to find an employee and ask them to operate it. Overall, there was honestly more to do than we could fit into the 3 hours. We didn't even get to everything we wanted to try. Despite a few operational issues, we had a really fun time and felt like the event package offered a lot of value.

This was a good value compared to regular prices. Enjoyed the go carts twice; attendants were very patient with customers and trouble makers. Cart track is super fun, carts ran well, fun competition! Bumper boats were closed; perhaps weather isn't warm enough yet or demand was low. Two fountain sodas at the snack bar were $13. Pretty outrageous. Tried to use the batting cages. Our unlimited pass didn't seem to apply however, which was disappointing, as our key cards were unable to activate the cages in two different lanes. We moved on to mini golf. Well lit and good music is the best I can say. Overall I can tell the courses have been improving from a maintenance standpoint but the greens are TERRIBLE. If you have to putt over broken turf or your ball gets stuck in a pit of death that used to be part of the brick border, it disrupts the fun and becomes frustrating. Seriously, Boomers. Put some of that ridiculous soda pop revenue into fixing your miserable astroturf. There were tears and holes everywhere. The arcade gets periodically updated but we didn't use it this time due to time constraints. Always had fun on the multitude of games available. Same with laser tag, we just ran out of time. Was not crazy about the process for golf putters and bats for the batting cages. There only seemed to be one person in charge of handing these out from the desk and they were stuck handling a long ticket line so we pretty much helped ourselves by reaching over the counter and grabbing what we needed.
