Haunted Overload is the least wheelchair accessible/friendly haunt I've ever been to, and I've been through a LOT of haunts across America as a guest and as a scare actor. For full-time manual wheelchair users, forget about going to this haunt. Even power wheelchair users will have difficulty. The enormous displays like the giant wooden pumpkin head, tree, dragon, and skeleton (my favorite) were very cool, along with all of the many real carved lit pumpkins and haunted house set, but that's where the impressiveness ends. We got there at our 8pm arrival time and it took us an entire hour to get through the worst terrain to wheel through, which included a very steep hill and even two stairs JUST to get up to the people scanning tickets, and they offered no way to avoid this. There was very clearly an easier and much quicker way to bypass all of that for those who cannot wait in that line, but they didn't help us or invite us to do that; instead, they disclosed to us that the terrain would be challenging but possible. Two of the scare actors helped us out of character when my wheels got stuck and also when I needed to exit the line to go the bathroom. Keep in mind, the last chance to go to the bathroom is after they scan the tickets and before you enter below the dragon head; they don't make this very clear, and you have to exit the line to do so. Then it was 30 minutes through a, what felt like, random array of props and scare actors. It all melded together, and I had to use my wheelchair as a walker for the vast majority of the walkthrough. Additionally, most of the scare actors did the bare minimum in engaging with us, it was very quiet for a haunt, and the pathways are mostly wood chips, uphill and downhill, and very tight spaces and turns to wheel through in the set pieces. I have a narrow wheelchair, and it barely squeezed through, so a standard or large wheelchair will very likely not be able to fit in some doorways. We complained to multiple employees about our experience throughout it, and they said they will talk to the owner about it, but that didn't help us for this one-time experience since we traveled from across the US for this. They mentioned twice to me after it was much too late that I should have reached out to them ahead of time for unknown accommodations. They could have easily helped us when we were there, as clearly we needed it, and I mentioned my multiple disabilities that made waiting in line difficult, and they said there was no other way and that I'll be fine. But the path to the porta potties could have been the short cut we took if we were permitted to do so. We're very disappointed in our experience here. We went to Fright Kingdom, Spooky World, and Haunted Overload, and if you get the opportunity, Fright Kingdom is 100% the ONLY one of these three that's worth visiting (and it's very much worth every penny). Even if I wasn't an ambulatory wheelchair user, I did not get scared, and the system in place to get to the beginning of the actual trail is poorly executed.

I would love to give this place infinite stars. All the love and glowing reviews in the world if possible. I spotted this haunt last year during Halloween time and it has never left my mind. I flew from LA to Boston and drove to NH. Directions were easy to follow. There is plenty of parking near the farmstand and they have extended parking. Tickets: You have 2 options. Buy in person or buy online. You get a $5 discount online for the main event. They also have a day event for $12. I went around noon and parked. I paid for the day event and walked in. It took about an hour to trek through it all. Amazing detail and workmanship. Beautifully decorated. When I finished I went to buy the night one. My slot was originally for 645 but for unforeseen circumstances I arrived at 930. Now the only downfall is the line to get in. It took an hour and a half to finish the line and get to the start. The upside is that it is completely decorated along the way and scare actors are interacting with everyone. I got to the front and they have people enter by group and try to keep it that way through out the maze. As much as I loved the day event I loved the night even more. I did not want to leave. The scare actors did an amazing job. Scared me about 3-4 times. I have a high tolerance btw. The sets and props looked even spookier at night. Honestly my favorite haunt in the US. I try to go out of town for haunts and this was just the perfect night. Thank you Haunted Overload and see you next year!

Such an incredible event and the amount of work put into everything is just insane. My girlfriend and I went for the 7 o'clock main event and it exceeded expectations. People are complaining about getting grouped up, they let each party in at different intervals, but if you run, you're obviously gonna catch up to the next group. Just walk and accept your fate Pictures don't do this place justice, it's absolutely incredible.

This is the best haunted walk I have ever been too! Yes the line to get in is kinda long but that is all decorated and they scare you while you wait as well! It didn't really feel like you were waiting in line, because you got just as scared in line as the haunted house. The decorations and the make up/ costumes are amazing! I was legit so scared. It last about 30 minutes and has many different areas. Can't say how cool this was!

Absolutely phenomenal! We went here last weekend for the very first time and it was great! We waited an hour and a half from the start of the line all the way through to where they check your tickets, and honestly there was so much to look at that it didn't feel like we waited that long at all! The amount of time and effort that is put into this, the elaborateness of all of it is just outstanding. The headless horseman that was roaming the farm while we were waiting was creepy and amazing! My only real complaint was the inconsiderate UNH college kids that were so obnoxious and rude the entire time we were there, in line, in the actual haunt, they were just dicks which made it slightly unenjoyable, but by no fault of Haunted Overload.

Such a fun and amazing experience!! So much goes into creating this fun and artistic haunted event. It starts with a winding path to get in with lots of spooky eye candy and no scares. It's outside on a farm which makes it even cooler. Then you get to the scare part. It's awesome because they pace u by group which is really fun. Loved it and would even enjoy going in the day time.

If ten stars were available, I would rate this a ten plus plus. We went six years ago and thought it was amazing. Couldn't imagine this being better but it was. The full moon and clouds added to the experience. This is definitely one of our Halloween favorite places to go. The props are elaborate and well done. Hard to believe this resides next to an Apple orchard. No amateur stuff here this is definitely a professional set up even better than Hollywood. They have a couple of different experiences depending on the day and time. They are opened Thursday through Sunday in October and Halloween night which is entirely in the dark. Tickets are available online and parking is free.

Such a cool place. I haven't been to a haunted house in awhile took my teenage daughter because she really wanted to go. Definitely worth the money.

Lines can get a little long- grab a cider donut from the farm store for your wait!

Halloween enthusiasts, prepare to fall in love. The visual setup here is absolutely stunning. I cannot imagine the amount of hard work that went into creating all of the amazing structures here. The parking crew does their job quickly and efficiently, so parking is pretty painless. The Demeritt Hill farm store is right by the parking area, so this is your chance to grab a bite or a drink for your wait in line. The line is a bit lengthy, but they keep you entertained with scares. Even when the actors aren't around, the structures are impressive enough on their own to make you feel like you're in spooky territory! During the day they offer a "day haunt" where you can walk through and revel in the magnificent architectures in full color and sunlight. This version of the tour is fright-free; no actors, or sounds, just the enjoyment of the grounds. The main event at night is extremely visually stimulating. The ambiance is truly spooky and not cheesy. While we will always have a great time here, they do need to work out the kinks of timing. It gets pretty crowded, and sometimes a train of people will build up where only the group in front gets scared. If you try to wait a bit, the group behind you catches up. It takes away from the experience a bit so hopefully this improves in the future. Nonetheless, this place is super cool. Haunted Overload is entirely worth the visit!

I knew Haunted Overload was great when I went back in 2018 but I never was compelled to write a review until I visited a competitors haunt. If you were to ask my wife she would say "I am a grown man who was scared out of my wits for the first 15 minutes." Honestly I was out of breath and it was pretty intense. The props/scenes are jaw dropping and visual works of art. The amount of actors they have is impressive, no shortage of scares here. The parking and lines were not big issues when we went and even if they were the attraction would have made up for it. I am going to try to revisit this haunt as the one I visited this year let me down.

Noooooo!!!! They were SOO good, seriously this place was the best ever and this year (10/19/19) they changed the way they let people in and it sucked!!!!! We were in a steady stream of people and so you got to see the people in front of you get scared and who the f wants to pay for that privilege? Not me. This was our 4th year and clearly 3 good years turned into too much success and it lost its touch. Which is such a shame, I was so let down and so disappointed. Still am actually. This was our go-to, tell everyone about it haunted attraction to hit. I would wait all year just to go back here and we were stoked. The props are amazing and they would space out the people so that everyone got to be "alone" in a way and it was hands down the absolute best haunt around. They actors were on point before and now they have too much of nothing in too many spots......I don't know why they changed it this year, maybe too many time slots or too many people, many they got money hungry but whatever the case I wouldn't go here now. I won't recommend it anyone any longer and sadly I won't go back again either :,( which definitely pains me to say because this was the best. If the people of haunted overload read this review-go back to what you had!!! That's what got you popular in the first place. Now you're doing it just like every other lame attraction around NH. And you'll definitely lose customers like you just lost our group. What a shame :(

My wife and I are big fans of haunted attractions and have been to them all over the world. Ravenwood is a moody, artfully executed take on the haunted farm/corn maze attraction found in New England. What makes it unique is the attention to detail in the design of the props, sets, and costumes, all of which come together to create a beautifully haunting atmosphere. The location helps to set the mood. We drove down dark and windy country roads and arrived at a farm with a large white barn in some state of disrepair. Parking attendants guided us to park in a field up a hill. There is a bit of a walk from the parking area to the attraction and it is almost all downhill on dewy grass, so consider this when picking shoes to wear. At the entrance, there were several vendors selling doughnuts, cider, hot dogs, and even a bacon-themed food truck! We purchased premium tickets but, in retrospect, did not need to do so because the line was not very long. Actually, it was surprisingly quiet there for a Friday night. However, reading other reviews suggests that we just lucked out as the lines can be much longer at times. After waiting for a few minutes, we were led to a tractor-pulled hay wagon for a ride to the attraction with a dozen other people. From there, we were whisked (okay, towed) to the attraction at the edge of the woods. The attraction itself featured several parts, including woods, several buildings, a "cemetery," and a corn maze. Most of these were executed very well. At times, I found myself in awe of the eerie beauty created by the lights, mist, and woods. The actors and costumes were excellent, and most seemed very into their roles. There were a few places which could have been helped by more actors, such as the corn maze, which felt a little long by the end. Overall, it was a fun experience and I would recommend it. The people who built Ravenwood have created an impressive attraction that should only get better as it becomes more popular. I look forward to going back next year.

We were one of the few people there so no lines or waiting! The haunted walk was closed due to the weather :/ (they did allow us to keep the tickets and redeem the walk portion on another night). The maze was actually quite confusing and you definitely felt like you were walking in circles and going the wrong way. Simple yet effective design. The graveyard was probably my least favorite attraction. Nice props and characters but nothing all that scary. Still entertaining though. Area 52 was actually really fun. You wear 3d glasses and it gives a fun effect when walking through the house. It does make you a little dizzy and makes it hard to determine where everything is (in a good way). Inmate Attraction was also really well done. The whole insane asylum type of feel was well done in this house. Great actors and props again. Lots of fun!

THAT was all the motivation I needed to drive up to New Hampshire and check it out. Haunted Acres is located in the woods behind the New England Dragway on Exeter Road in Epping. Once you enter the Dragway parking lot, you've got to drive about a mile on a very unpaved, very unlit road before you reach your destination. Were it not for the numerous signs with arrows in the entrance that say "HAUNTED ACRES THIS WAY," you'd likely think you were in the wrong place. One thing I can very comfortably say about Haunted Acres is that it is extraordinarily dark. Like really, really dark. We were in line right behind the exact same people for 3 of the 4 attractions, and I honestly didn't get a good look at them the entire time because there's just no light. This certainly does add to the "creepy" factor. The theme of the place is like an old, abandoned wild west mining town - in the dark, it looks very much the the abandoned set of some old John Wayne movie (if John Wayne made slasher films). There are a few costumed characters roaming the grounds of the "town," sneaking up on particularly frightened teenage girls and scaring the bejeezus out of them. Among the characters was an evil Easter bunny, which I didn't entirely understand (but which I still appreciated for the camp value). Altogether there are 4 haunted attractions at this place: The Skeleton Saloon (a haunted, wIld west saloon complete with zombie bartender), the 3-D Nuclear Accident House (a black-lit, neon-spray-painted 3-D glasses-wearing affair), the Nightmare Walk (a 15-minute walk through the woods), and the Maze from Hell (a black, plywood maze with dead ends and some creepy characters inside). The quality of the four attractions varied a bit. The Nuclear Accident House was good fun - probably my favorite of the bunch. The Nightmare Walk was fun and creepy at points, but kind of campy and silly at others (case in point: the pirate ship (!) in the middle of the woods, with the ghost pirate on board yelling "ARRRRRG THIS IS MY SHIP, MATEYS, STAY AWAY," or something to that effect). I think the creepiest bit of the Nightmare Walk was when one of the actors in the hillbilly section got just a little tooooo "Deliverance" on the poor teenage boys in our small group of 4 ("You ever squealed like a pig, boy?!"). The Skeleton Saloon comes in at #3 for me, as it was short on actors but the animatronics and props were pretty good (although the ropes that visibly cordon visitors off from the various props and settings inside kind of ruin the illusion a little bit). The least thrilling one (which is sad, because it had some great potential) was the Maze from Hell. I think I saw 2 actors in there the whole time we were inside, and they didn't scare us at all. The walls were all black, with no other decorations to speak of. A haunted house with dead ends and no set path could be awesomely scary, but this one really fell short. I wouldn't spend full price to come here, but note that every Thursday night is "Bargain Night," and two adults can get in for $33 - a savings of $10. There are also Family 4-Packs available online, with which 2 adults and 2 children can get in for $65 - a savings of $7. Overall, this place was average but fun.
