I love Cuban food and the pork was delicious. It came with yummy fries. The next day I sat at the bar and ordered lunch during happy hour, before my flight home. The bartender got my order wrong but realized it when she brought my food out and got it corrected quickly, which was appreciated since I needed to leave for the airport. Stopped in for a glass of wine while we stayed at the Flamingo. Ordered a Sauvignon Blanc glass of wine and it tasted and smelled (per my husband) like Tequila had been poured in it also. The food at Havana 57 was decent overall. We ordered the steak fajitas and the nachos. The nachos were definitely the highlight, loaded with steak, guacamole, jalapenos, pico de gallo, and plenty of toppings. They were flavorful and a good portion for sharing. The steak fajitas looked great coming out sizzling, but unfortunately the steak itself was pretty bland and could have used a lot more seasoning and flavor. The vegetables were good, but the meat was a little disappointing. Service was friendly. Overall, not a bad meal, but based on what we ordered, I'd definitely recommend the nachos over the fajitas. read more

Came here for the city's annual Restaurant Week. This year, Havana have a menu with three courses for $30. Located right across from the flamingo habitat entrance, I like the chill vibe of this casual restaurant. There's a small circular stage in the middle for live entertainment which I think happens during the dinner/late hours as there were no singers/live band while we were there for lunch on Sunday. For our first course (appetizer), we opt for ham croquettes (2 pieces) and some chips & guacamole. The croquettes were delicious but the guacamole was lacking flavor tremendously. Absolutely flavorless....they needed to add some jalapeños, lime, some salt n pepper. There were a few choices to pick from for our second (main) course such as burgers & fries, grilled chicken salad, Havana cuban chicken and carnitas tacos. My salad was fresh with plenty of nutritious fixins like cucumbers, red onions, tomatoes, garbanzo beans etc. Husband really enjoyed his chicken. A big portion and the rotisserie chicken was juicy and tender...not dried at all. Comes with rice, beans and plaintains. Our last course was dessert. Between the flan and tres leche cake, we chose the latter. We expected the cake to be moist but it was dried!!!!! It didn't even taste like a traditional tres leche. It tasted like normal vanilla cake with a bit of condensed milk underneath. Disappointing. Overall the food was solid, service was good, great extensive cocktail and mocktail menu and a nice atmosphere. Just don't bother with dessert. We actually found this place completely by accident. We were walking back to The LINQ from the Strip and if you've ever stayed there you know you can cut through the Flamingo and come out by the Promenade. As we were walking through I saw Havana 1957 and the menu looked really interesting so we ended up making a reservation for dinner. When we got there the host was super nice and got us seated pretty quickly. We had requested stage seating on OpenTable but didn't end up getting it. Not really a huge deal though because there was plenty of seating and honestly every seat looked pretty decent. The only thing was the table felt tiny. The inside of this place is BEAUTIFUL though. For drinks I got the spicy guava margarita. There were actual guava seeds and jalapeños in it which I thought was cool. This was honestly really good. It had a nice kick to it but wasn't one of those drinks where the spice completely takes over. Also definitely not a weak pour. We ended up getting the steak fajitas and the pork chunks. The fajitas came out sizzling which was expected but what I wasn't expecting was for the pork chunks to come out sizzling too. They bring them out on this hot grill and it honestly looked really cool. The fajitas were good. Pretty much exactly what you'd want from fajitas. Good amount of steak, peppers, onions and all the sides. No complaints. The pork chunks were the winner though. The outside was crispy but the inside was super juicy and tender. They came with sweet plantains and those were cooked perfectly. Not too mushy, not hard, just sweet and caramelized. Whatever they put to garnish the pok cunks also added the right amount of flavor and tang. read more

GETTING HERE: Located inside the FLAMINGO hotel in Las Vegas. REVIEW: This is our first time trying this restaurant and we really enjoyed it. We enjoyed the ambience and the feel of the restaurant. Just know that it can be a little loud because it literally rests right next to the casino floor. So if the loudness might be an issue, ask to be seated further inside the restaurant. There was not any live music the night of our visit, but it would've been nice to experience that. The service was really good. Very friendly server who checked on us once during our meal. We ordered green enchiladas and they were very flavorful. We asked for the green sauce on the side because we were 100% sure the spice level but it was so tasty. While service is great, not sure if I would return back to Havana 1957, it seems that they change their menu so if you're going there for a certain drink or food item, you might want to check before going. The drink my sister wanted was no longer on the menu, but the bartender was nice and still made it for her, I got the Havana rum punch. We thought we were ordering the guacamole and pork carnitas, but no, it was only guacamole. I'm not sure how they justified charging $22 for guacamole when that was the same price they charged for guacamole and pork carnitas. So because of that it's a pass for me. read more

I believe they are originally from Florida and they have traditional Cuban dishes, some large plates that are great for sharing. And they have a good happy hour to take advantage of. We were there for after the post dinner rush and the staffing was a little low so our service was slow, but we weren't in a big rush so we didn't mind it. It was very calm with little groups scattered around and very lovely music playing. One of my friends got the wrong protein and our server sent it back to get redone which was very appreciated. We assembled a delightful, filling meal from the cocktail and small plates sections of the menu at Havana 1957. The classic mojito was both flavorful and sweet, a wonderful combination. The Chopped Salad turned out to be a great mix of textures. Combined with Yuca Fries, Maduros, and Ham Croquetas it worked out to a quick, filling dinner. Service was prompt and friendly. The decor was very nicely done - like other parts of the city where you may be able to picture yourself in Venice or Paris or NYC, the vibe here was very similar to the Bay View Bar in the Hotel Nacional of actual Havana. In a city that seems to now be mostly either fast food or Michelin extravagences, this was a lovely spot somewhere in the middle. read more

We were in Vegas this weekend and saw this place. After viewing the menu we decided to give it a try. First, we had the guacamole, which was a bit pricey at $22.00. While it was good, not $22.00 good. There was chicken and shrimp to add for an additional price. My wife has the Chicken Enchiladas with Tomatilo sauce, cheese, avocado slices and crema. I had the chicken tacos. The enchiladas were very good and the sauce was a good highlight. The Taco's were tasty and both dishes came with Rice and Black Beans. I was a bit disappointed that Picadillo, a popular Cuban dish was not on the menu. They did feature a Cuban Sandwich though. Our waiter, Abraham was polite and helpful. The restaurant is located halfway down the walkway from the Flamingo Slot machines. This is the walkway called, The Linq Promenade, where there are several other dining options. read more

Ended up getting an order of the platter and a plate of enchiladas which were all pretty great. Empanadas were not the best i've had but are decent enough to order again. We noticed that there is mexican food on the menu and asked why have this in a cuban restaurant, apparently people think we are all the same cause we speak spanish. The server said that the meats will taste the same if I asked for a remake because their shredded pork and beef were pre-made. The fried plantains and black beans were delicious though. Don't get the chicken wings because their shredded pork wings are so tiny that it looked like game hen wings. Tiny wings for over $20, no thank you again. Lesson learned! I really enjoyed Havana 1957. The décor is fun and exactly what you'd expect from a 1950s Cuban diner theme, which made the whole experience feel lively and unique. Service overall was good and our server was very friendly. I tried the 3-course lunch menu for $30 and it was a great value. The croquettes were fantastic, easily a 5/5, and the flan was just as good. The Cuban sandwich was still tasty, but it felt like it was missing a little bit of flavor. Not enough to ruin the meal, just enough to keep it from being perfect. The only real downside was the wait at the beginning. It took about 5-10 minutes before a hostess greeted us and another 10 minutes before we were able to order drinks. It felt like they might have been stretched thin. Once things got going though, the experience improved. Overall, this place has serious potential to be a 5-star spot. With a little more flavor in the sandwich and smoother front-of-house timing, it would easily get there. Definitely still worth recommending. read more

Came here for a family dinner while on vacation close to New Year's looking forward to trying something new. The ambience is great and isn't too busy. I don't think you need a reservation for a table for 4 at 7 PM and can easily just walk in. The restaurant itself wasn't that busy overall. Service was excellent and the staff was friendly for questions about the menu. The place is staffed well enough to be attentive when needed. I ordered the La Orquesta Cubana which is a sampler plate of the pork shoulder, havana chicken, and ropa vieja. Each were really salty even when trying to combine it with the side of beans or the white rice that came with the sampler. Overall, I'd say the ambience and the service are the saving graces (5/5); but because I am someone that weighs food heavily in my reviews, I have to pull the rating to a 3/5. read more

Not sure what the point of putting the nachos in one of those hot skillets, because it was served cold. All the cheese was cold. I asked for extra cheese and he came back with a small little saucer of lukewarm cheese so after three minutes, it became cold cheese. I reserved this restaurant given proximity to the Piff show in the same casino we had tickets to attend later, and it was a great option. My wife is also hispanic so I figured the food would score me some brownie points...and it did. Our reservation was for like 5-530pm, rather early, and there was plenty of seating at that time. To my wife's dismay, there was no show at the restaurant until later in the evening and we would miss it given our other tickets. I went off the recommendation of the server and tried the Spicy Guava Margarita which I thought was ok. Yes, it had a little spice to it but nothing major. It just seemed to lack flavor to me compared to other margaritas I've enjoyed elsewhere. We ordered the Havana Combo Platter that came with an assortment of items which we thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered the Roasted Pork which came with rice and sweet plantains. I leveraged some of my wife's black beans to top it off. My entree came on a portable wood burning grill of sorts that proved to be an interesting, cool way to display the meal. Overall, it was delicious and filling for me. A great visit although we would likely visit later in the evening to have the show complement the meal. The timing just didn't work for us on this day. read more

Looking to try a different type of food from what we had been eating all we were looking forward to cuban food and reserved a table on a Saturday night. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full so there was no reason to be rushed through our meal which is exactly what happened. The live entertainment was excellent and we would return to hear more but not sit on the edge of the stage. The food and drinks were very good but I wanted to order another drink. My server never asked me if I wanted another drink and while our party was still eating our server brought our checks to our table. I have never experenced that unless I told our server we were in a rush and we were definitely not in a rush. Lastly, since we sat down we had asked our server to take a group photo before food came to the table so that we wouldn't have a dirty table in the photo and he kept saying "yes, yes, yes" and then would never return. Then after our meal we asked him again to take a group photo and he agreed but he would never return. The restaurant had a photographer walking around taking photos for purchase and we had already purchased a couple but we wanted a group photo without "Havanna 1957" printed all over it which is what their professional photos had. Since we couldn't get the server to return to our table I asked the girl busing our table if she would mind and she was very uncomfortable you can see from the photo she was not the right person to ask...all blurry...I would rather she had gotten someone to take our photo. We stopped in for dinner and I tried their Cuban sandwich. I have to say they are in my top 5 for best Cuban sandwich in Vegas. The pork is perfectly roasted and the bread is toasted well. Their wings are really good and they are not too spicy. They were juicy even though I had them done extra crispy. If you come on the weekends they have a performer. I was seeking a certain flavor in Vegas. It was tough because Vegas has so much to offer. We decided on a walk to work our appetite and the flamingo was our closest stop to great and amazing food. Pork was slowly cooked and the rice pairing was delicious. We had a combination of ropa vieja, 1957 Havana chicken. The rice, beans and fried plantain utterly amazing. The spices and herbs used on the ropa vieja give such perfect flavor! Pairing it with your bed of rice and beans and boom a love triangle that I can get entangled with. The service is fast and very cordial. Our servers were attentive and friendly. The space is beautiful great for photos. Recommend it highly when you're looking for authentic Cuban flavors. read more

The food was outstanding, I had the Ropa Vieja and plantain, which was incredibly flavorful, and my wife had the steak, cooked perfectly. Every dish that came to the table was spot‑on. The drinks were just as impressive. I ordered the Paloma. Our server, Eduardo, made the night even better. His service was exceptional, attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. I just had one of my worst experiences ever at a Las Vegas restaurant. Let's ingnore the fact that the website states they are open until midnight. The bar might be open until midnight, but they stop serving food at 9:45PM. It would be helpful if they mentioned that important detail in the website. I, as well as a few other groups of people, were turned away at 10:03PM and told they were no longer serving food. Fine. I returned the following day at 9:20PM. When seated, I told the server that I wanted to use my Caesars Rewards points to pay. I mentioned that the website states that this is allowed, and he said it was fine, except, since this is a third party establishment operating within Flamingo, they charge double points. I said I was okay with that. When time came to pay, I gave my server my ID and Caesars Rewards player card. The server attempted to run my points, but he was having difficulty. He then told the night manager, Hermes. Instead of rectifying the situation, all Hermes did was take a picture of the terminal screen. I asked Hermes how we were going to rectify the situation. I showed him the current Havana 1957 website which clearly showed I should be able to pay with points. He said that didn't matter. He said they were a third party restaurant, so I had to pay with cash or credit card. I asked Hermes who we should contact to resolve the situation. He said I had no option. I asked him who his boss was, and he said his boss was in Miami. I asked him for his boss's name and phone number, but he refused to give that information to me. I clearly asked if he was refusing to give me the imformation, and be said I could "Look it up online." That's it. I asked Hermes who his boss was in the restaurant, and he was reluctant to give me that information. By this point, I was mad. I told him to give me the information I was asking for, and he said something to the effect of "You are yelling, so I'm not going to help you." This was the point where I went from speaking to him sternly to marginally treating him like the horrible restaurant manager he is. After he walked away, I was able to talk to my server and fing out Hermes's boss is a woman named Claudia who works in the morning. If I get a chance, I will go in to speak to her. But I shouldn't have to go out of my way to get Hermes' attitude adjusted. When paying for my meal, I did fill out the elctronic form stating I wished to be contacted, and I submitted my email address. I will see if Havana 1957 makes any sort of attempt to contact me. When you have the official website for Havana 1957 state that they accept Caesars Rewards credits inside Flamingo, and when I clarify my intention to use Caesars Rewards credits to pay for the meal with the server before ordering, and then the manager somehow claims that I am the one at fault and that they did absolutely nothing wrong just because they are an a third party restaurant, there is something very wrong with this business. A proper restaurant engaged in business in the resort corridor of Las Vegas should have been able to rectify the situation appropriately. I am in Las Vegas off and on for about four months or more per year, and I am usually on the Strip six or seven days a week while in town. I have gone to many of the restaurants in the area, and I know how things are supposed to operate. In the past 15 or so years, I cannot think of a single worse experience in the Las Vegas resort corridor than I had tonight at Havana 1957. read more

We were able to snag a reservation on a Sunday for a party of seven on OpenTable. This restaurant is really cute aesthetically and located right outside the flamingo habitat at the flamingo hotel on the strip. The ambience was great super cute vibes and the food was OK not horrible not great. We had ordered our drinks and they took a really long time to come out. We actually received our food before our cocktails which there were only three cocktails so service was a little iffy, but overall the experience was OK. read more

Dropped by while visiting Las Vegas last Saturday. We had the carnitas guacamole appetizer along with a Cuban tower. The carnitas guacamole was absolutely delicious and we loved every single bite. The tower was also good but the chicken and the ropa vieja. The only downside is that the broth that's given must have been salted by maybe 2 chefs because it was very salty. I love salty food but for me it was a tad bit too salty. Also, happy hour online showed drinks and bites but at the flamingo we were only given a drink menu when we asked for the happy hour menu so I didn't want to say anything. Service was good, a bit empty for a Friday afternoon. The ambiance is nice and open seating with what looks like live music. I'll give it another try hopefully next time. read more

First time staying in Vegas. Having a Cuban restaurant here at the Flamingo with actual real flamingos right outside the windows there really fits, and the ambience is great. Hostess and wait staff were both attentive and super friendly. We got there shortly after it opened so there wasn't many folks having dinner yet and it was during the week but I could tell that place really is happening on weekends when they have live music. Having eaten at a number of Cuban restaurants in various places, I had high expectations and Havana 57 did not disappoint. Pork dishes, plantains, rice, and desserts were excellent. I also had the cervechi and it was good (not excellent but good and I would have it again. Wish they would've put a little bit more fish in it.). Even if I don't stay at the Flamingo, should I ever come back to Las Vegas (which might be never because of the way they gouged you with the resort fees and prices, etc) I would definitely come back to this restaurant. Unless you're a very rich person, consider Havana 57 as your dinner splurge for the family and expect to drop decent money, but you're going to get a good experience and some great food for it read more
