I could have cleared my plate. Everything was delicious. I had the imperial rice with chicken and everything was so flavorful. I also ordered a café con Leche and it was prepared a little on the sweet side for my liking, but it was delicious and she attended us promptly. It wasn't busy when we got there, but it was nice and cool compared to outside so that was appreciated. Everything is reasonably priced, and they have a lot on their menu to choose from. There's a lot of parking. Definitely a place that I am looking forward to going again and trying more on the menu.

I've been going to the restaurant for years and I absolutely love it! The food is seasoned to perfection, sweet plantains, soft rice, tasteful meat! You can't go wrong! I've had chicken, steak, pork etc all had different flavor profiles but all scrumptious! My all time favorite and go to is the oxtail, tender and stewed in a delicious sauce! Highly recommend! Don't miss out on the coconut flan!

Quaint little cafe. I have always heard great things about it so we decided to split some ham croquettes & a Cuban sandwich. Both were phenomenal - the croquettes were delicate and not greasy at all. The Cuban is a stand alone star - the bread is perfect, the amount of pork/ham that you gets is generous, and the mustard to pickle ratio was great. Will definitely go back to get some plated meals because everything looked so good. Service was quick and kind!

Been craving authentic Cuban cuisine. After living in Miami, I could not find a Cuban restaurant that hit the spot. This location will not disappoint you. The service was friendly and made me feel welcomed. Everything was delicious.

If anyone is craving Cuban food in Indiana then make your way to this place! Prior to spending most of my time in Indy, I lived in Fort Lauderdale where Cuban food can be found anywhere. Havana Cafe satisfies my craving for sure!! Their ropa vieja and vaca frita are delicious - we always order these 2 things when here. The restaurant is kind of at a strip mall location in kind of an old-ish neighborhood but I'm telling you that the food is worth it!!! Try them out and thank me later

The food was so delicious and the lady that waited on us was very nice! The restaurant was clean, nice and simple. We will definitely be back!

Nice little spot for comfort food. I had the ropa vieja (pictured) and my partner had the arroz con pollo. The seasoning and portion was perfect for a filling meal. We shared the flan for dessert, which was silky smooth but the sauce was a bit strong (rum-like?) for my taste. The woman who served us was quiet but accommodating. We got there at 8pm on a Friday. There was a group of 10 already seated and waiting for entrees, but our food only took about 15 minutes to come out after we ordered. Tables continued to fill in the small, cozy space as the evening went on. We'll definitely be back when we need to satisfy our Cuban craving!

Had a nice dinner tonight with friends at this cozy spot tucked into a strip mall on the west side of Indy. First visit for most of the group and I generally steer towards a Cuban sandwich but the menu had lots to offer and I went with a braised pork dinner with black rice and plantains as my side . I believe everything is cooked to order and with a bit of a wait every item came out hot from the kitchen. My meal was very good and I had enough to bring home leftovers for the next day. Our sever was very nice and prices were very reasonable.

Born and raised in Miami and was in town for work and saw this place and said hey why not. First off the owner and the staff are not Cuban and for that matter and even from any Caribbean country for that matter. The Cuban sandwich resembles a Mexican torta with no flavor and overwhelming amount of mustard to take away from the lack of flavor on the meat. A very thin slice of cooked ham and no cheese whatsoever. The flan was dry as you can see in the photo and tastes like a dry pudding. This is a lack of respect to true Cubans food. What a disgraceful experience

I absolutely love love love fries so my husband went and ordered them only for me. I was so touched Cuban Fry Mix - The flies themselves were absolutely phenomenal! So perfectly crispy and not too greasy either. Such a creative idea of mixing both the fries and they actually went really well together. Proper sweet salty vibes! Classic Cubano Sandwich - First time trying a Cuban sandwich and it was actually very nice. Properly loaded with meat and the flavors went well together. It can get quite heavy though because it's quite a big sandwich so be prepared for that! Definitely a nice one to save leftovers though! One down side of this place as a whole though is that they don't offer customizations. I was hoping they could stop out something on the menu for something else or pair some two different items in a combo but they were not able to do that.

So funny story, a couple months back I was ordering just drinks and the person taking my order asked what I wanted to eat instead of will that be all. I would never in a million years have ordered Cuban nachos as I'm not a huge fan of the sandwich (I'm a foodie yes, but I have the pallet of like a...17 year old) l. So I got my drinks and the weird looking nachos with tiny cubes of pickles and mustard in them? They. Were. Ah-maaaazing! I would never have thought they were be good but the cosmos must have known I would love them. Ordering them was a very happy accident! The crispy tortilla chips, the warm salty pulled pork, covered in pickle cubes and swished with mustard. O my god it a perfect bite every time and the flavors just bouce gleefully on your tongue. They don't have the nachos anymore but the fries Cuban is just as good. I go to Palavana every time I got to The Garage.

We tried their fresh guacamole, arroz paisa, maracuya (passion fruit limeade) drink, and I got two Cuban sandwiches for the next day! The arroz paisa is to die for. For $15 you get this huge serving of fried white rice with soy sauce, Colombian sausage, steak, chicken, chicharron (more like grilled/fried pork than cracklin), & corn. It so had plantains in it which was a nice treat. It's hearty and filling and they don't skimp on the meat. Honestly it should probably be enough for two meals, but I totally demolished the whole thing. Their guacamole was chunky (the good kind), fresh, and super flavorful. The maracuya was the perfect level of sweet and a little tangy to balance out the salty of the arroz paisa ... A perfect combo! The Cuban sandwiches were definitely overshadowed by the arroz paisa, but were still delicious and loaded with ham. It might not be my first choice for a Cubano in Indy, but still give it a try! They were unfortunately out of Peruvian ceviche the night we ordered, but it sounds exotic and tempting so we're definitely going to order it again because I'm super curious if "tigers milk" is actually legit tigers milk... Which is about to inspire a nice little Google rabbit hole. We'll definitely be back to order all the arroz paisa!

I had heard nothing but good things about this place, so I was very happy to have the opportunity to try their sandwiches. This is a very small space, with a very small kitchen, so it takes a minute for the food to come out, but it is done per order and very fresh, so it is worth the wait. The ambiance is old fashioned in my mind, but very cute and suitable for a sandwich place. I ordered the Milanesa de Polo Sandwich, which is a chicken tenderloin sandwich, and a side of the fried sweet potatoes. The food actually came out in a decent amount of time,so I was shocked and surprised, but very pleased at the same time. As expected, the food was incredible and terrific like I thought it would be. The sandwich was huge and had to use a knife and fork to eat it. The fried sweet potatoes were excellent and had a nice texture. They were very flavorful. The sandwich tasted amazing and was one of the best chicken tenderloin sandwiches I have ever had since living in Indy. Now I see why everyone loves this place so much, because the sandwiches are high quality and just so perfect!! Our server was wonderful and gave great recommendations on the menu items. Her recommendations were spot on and everyone enjoyed their sandwiches. The steak is also incredible, so I would highly recommend the Lolo Supreme sandwich. Don Juan V's sandwiches is a wonderful mom and pop business in Indy that is worth checking out if you are looking for a fresh good sandwich. Given it is a small venue, you may have to wait a bit for your food to be prepared and delivered to your table, so will need to have some patience if you dine inside, but trust me, it is worth it and you will not be disappointed. The sandwiches are just that amazing!!

We used to frequent Livery a lot from 2017-2019, but hadn't been to the original location in a while and were excited for a fun date night on a weekday. We left wishing we had just stopped at Taco Bell on the way home instead. There was a half hour wait for a table, but they had open bar seats so we chose to sit at the bar. One of the bartenders (there were a few coming and going throughout our visit) stared at us without greeting us and then a minute or two later came over and slid over 2 menus to us, again without speaking. Later on another bartender came over and greeted us and took our drink order - 2 carriage house margaritas with a tajin rim. Those came out fairly quickly and he asked if we wanted to put in a food order. We said we wanted the yuca fries and he said if we wanted to put in our entrees because he could do that as well and then space them out appropriately, so my husband gave his birria short rib order and I gave my paella order. The yuca fries came out and were just as tasty as we remembered. Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Cheese sauce divine. Hot. A while went by and the bartenders kept coming and going from the bar, but no one ever refilled our waters. My husband's water was empty before our entrees ever came out, and we were left with just our cocktails the rest of our time there. His short rib came out and looked and smelled amazing. The short rib was very tender and everything tasted great. Also hot. I would say another 5 minutes passed before my paella was finally served to me, not sure why they didn't come out together, and looking at it was I was excited. Upon first taste, not so much. Not one bit of my food was warm. Cold!!! Such a let down. It felt like my meal had been done well before my husband's and was left sitting out. The singular scallop was cooked perfectly, but the shrimp were already overdone, chewy, and rubbery. Sending it back to be warmed up would have made the shrimp inedible and ruined the scallop, but waiting for a whole new dish would have taken forever and my husband would have been done with his food. No one ever came over to ask if our food came out okay either, so I just ate it cold. Another thing we didn't love is that all throughout our meal other bartenders and servers would come congregate at the end of the bar where we were sitting (near the extra dishes/dishwasher/pos system) to text and talk shit about annoying customers. Never experienced this before at another Cunningham group restaurant and hope we never do again. It was very loud and unwelcoming. We finished our margaritas and kept waiting for our server to come back so we could pay and he was MIA for 15 minutes and none of the other bartenders checked on us (seems like the theme for our whole visit). At this point, we have also had 2 more people squeeze their way into seats between us and a group of girls where there wasn't room to do so and we are just wanting to leave. Our bartender finally comes back and sees us sitting there and asks if we need anything. We tell him we'd like to close out. He says he needs to go take something to a customer really quick and will be right back. Of course, not a big deal. But why ask if we need anything when he has no intention of doing so anytime soon? Just wait until you come back at that point. He didn't come back for another 8-10 minutes to close us out finally. Overall, a very disappointing $100+ meal. If we decide to stop in at Livery again, then we will drive out to the Noblesville location instead.
