All the Yelpers are right about this place! It was such an absolute treat to have stumbled upon this place before our hike at Mount Greylock. The atmosphere was inviting, the servers attentive and friendly but above all, the food was fabulous. We had the pleasure of trying out the Heuvos Rancheros and the Smoked Salmon omelette. Both dishes were delicious and definitely hit the spot. Even the roasted potatoes it came with were perfectly cooked and crispy. We walked out with all smiles and ready to conquer our mountain. Haven reminds me of a hipster cafe from Brooklyn. Fiance and I came here for lunch and were definitely not disappointed: + I had a delicious kale salad with chicken. So fresh, delicious goat cheese, and small bites of well seasoned chicken. WOW was this an expensive breakfast. For a biscuit sandwich, fancy french toast, one extra biscuit and 2 sodas we paid $37. That was a LOT for breakfast. And, to get the negatives out of the way, I was saddened when I went to eat my extra biscuit on our ride home and saw they did not give me the one I ordered (bacon and gruyere), but rather a dill biscuit. The service was very friendly, but then we waited over 20 minutes on a not too busy morning for our food to be delivered. Luckily, we did not spend that time waiting in line that many others speak about on Yelp. The food was really good. The blueberry baked fancy french toast was phenomenal. So much so that I could feel my hips growing with every bite. My husbands biscuit sandwich was really good as well. Have never had dill biscuits, but it was a nice combo. read more

This place truly is Heaven. I enjoyed breakfast so much on my last day in town that i went back for lunch! Very quiet with beautiful jazz in the morning and very busy and lively in the afternoon! Service was beyond reproach on both visits as well as when I stopped in for tea a couple times during the week. Just delicious food, too and beautifully presented. Impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the 'just so' precision cooking. The Haven Scramble asparagus was perfectly cooked as was the butternut squash. Mixed with just the right amount of goat cheese. It was lovely! Would love to return for another order of the same. Potatoes were really good and nicely flavored. Had a Morning Glory muffin better than Bread Alone. Great juices too!! People taking orders and cleaning up were very personable and made us feel welcome. Power wheelchair accessible but 'fitting under the tables' wasn't ideal. Oh well, the food and service was worth it! Blueberry pancakes, burrito and Bon mi were also very good. Haven is our go to breakfast spot when visiting the Berkshire's. We first heard about it from some friends who live in town. Our favorite item on the menu is the Smoked Salmon Scramble. And you must try the latte's! My fav is the Lavender Pepper! They don't take reservations and it's a first come first serve order at the counter and get your number find a table place. During breakfast and brunch on the weekends there is usually a line but it goes surprising fast. The staff is extremely friendly which helps. read more

Excellent brunch! We stopped by for brunch on a Saturday -- get there early: the line to get in gets long very quickly. There are lots of great baked goods made inside the cafe. We had a twice baked almond croissant, very nice, and a delicious ham and gruyere biscuit. Cafe latte was smooth and delicious. We have morning oatmeal which was good with granola that was average. We also had a great eggs Benedict, creamy yellow hollandaise sauce over two perfectly poached eggs sitting on a fantastic biscuit. Excellent service. read more

The frittata I had today was barely edible. I was extremely disappointed in the food. However, the service was fine.

This is why I always ask locals (and use yelp) where to eat- traveling for business and asked the school I was visiting where to get a good lunch and this was there rec. it did NOT disappoint: 1) the special latte was a jasmine maple latte (jasmine tea, maple syrup and steamed coconut milk) and it was floral and light and delish 2) Baby Kale salad with chicken added- fresh ingredients, not overly dressed, so good! 3) Great service even tho it's an order at the bar cafe. The barista was precious- hipster mustache and glasses included! I will be returning to the area soon for business and and will certainly be returning to Haven read more

Holy deliciousness! This place is unbelievable. You grab a menu, go to the cashier, place an order, sit down and they bring you your food - easy and efficient. We only waited 5 min for our food. We ordered the veggie French rolled omelette which came with roasted shiitake and cremini mushrooms, spinach, and onion confit, a blueberry muffin, and huervos rancheros. The winter brunch meals are all served with DELICIOUSLY seasoned roasted potatoes and mixed greens. It was the best French omelette I've ever had - made to perfection with fresh dill sprinkled on top. The prices are reasonable and the staff is super friendly. The milieu is adorable, lovely music, and everything looks incredible fresh and well crafted and cared for. Highly recommend if you're in the Berkshires! read more

I want to give Haven 5 stars, if they could keep a more consistent schedule and better approach to announcing their sporadic closures- web sites work well in this regard :-). The restaurant itself is wonderful, but pricey. I love the breakfast, the food is all excellent and the coffee piping hot and interestingly sourced. There's a lot of local breakfast competition, I'm thinking Patisserie, Ottos, Dotties, GB Eats. But Haven stands alone in my book, try the huevos rancheros or pancakes. Haven is always busy, always the scene. The food is always excellent, and so is the coffee. I mostly go, like the rest of humanity, for breakfast. On my last visit I had eggs scrambled, with chunks of salmon, and carmelized onions folded in, with greens on the side. It was delicious. The pastries are also delectable. At Haven, you don't take a seat and order. You order, take a number and find a seat. They bring the food to you. Lately, at busy times, they have a staffer working the line, finding tables for people while they are on line. That is a good innovation. read more

I stopped in here for a Cortado (for myself) and a ginger tea for a friend of mine. They also had a full breakfast crowd on this particular Sunday morning and the croissants looked incredible. I was surprised to see they also served alcoholic drinks with local selections (not too many cafe's around here have booze). It was a quick in 'n out, but the ambiance was warm and inviting and if I didn't have to run out, I definitely would have stayed longer. Great breakfast/ brunch spot. This place is truly a small haven. The set up is walk up to the counter, order, seat yourself and they'll bring your food to you. They offer a large variety of food and drink including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and even cocktails. Choosing what to order from their brunch menu was quite tough since everything sounded delicious. I decided to start out with a chocolate hazelnut latte, great decision! It was very rich but smooth and creamy and topped off with great latte art. For my meal I ordered the croissant french toast mostly because it seemed unique. It was definitely a wise choice. The texture of the croissant worked perfectly with the french toast batter. It's quite sweet as one might expect so I got a side of scrambled eggs to balance out the sweetness. However, I was not a fan of the eggs, my particular portion was dry and slightly overdone. My husband ordered the santa fe omelette and loved it! It had bacon, poblano peppers and was topped with sour cream, salsa, and fresh avocado slices. He was in tex-mex heaven! Haven is truly a food haven!! After spending two summers in Lenox I have had my fair share of brunch/lunch trips to Haven. There is a reason why it's always packed! The salad are excellent and quite large. I recommend the Aegean salad for lunch as well as the chicken burrito (not spicy but packed with flavor...and they do have hot sauce if you'd like to spice it up!) I've had several of the benedicts as well as the pancakes and neither disappoint. Don't forget to check out the daily specials! P.S. Do not be turned off by the long line---they have a seating system that is effective and I have never had to actually wait for a table. read more

The only issue I had with Haven was that you had to seat yourself after you have ordered your meal so there is not guarantee you will get a seat. We came here for brunch after seeing what the days inn had for the free breakfast, and finding out there was a long wait for a table at elektras cafe (we had two kids with us). Parking was a little thin given the area it is located in and the parking lot next door is for another restaurant. A huge win for me- they have gluten free bread so I was able to get French toast. It was a little dense but really good nonetheless. I did nt like that they had obscene items for sale right as you walk in and one of the kids we were with was just learning to read..yay. My friend got some avocado and pumpkin seed salad she loved. My sister got the veggie omelette that came with roasted potatoes and salad she loved it. The kids got the gluten free French toast and didn't even flinch, and ate it all! It is a little pricey but it was a great choice for our last few moments together yesterday. Ham deli style and not thick cut (grrrrr) Salted caramel macchiato tasted like regular macchiato, really subtle caramel and difficult to discern salt. Location: street parking not bad, on a strip of plenty of tasty eats Ambience 4*: just right, not pretentious, not over fluffed. Bathroom 3*: clean, spacious, but not kid friendly; knob didn't work and lock latch too high for little ones to go by themselves. Would definitely return, especially for weekend brunch. Although last time I was in the area, I did not think they were open during COVID which is a shame because I would've loved to grab takeout from here. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ORDER a chai tea latte. They have no idea what they are doing with this drink--mine tasted like straight up cinnamon water. I tried adding some honey, but it changed it to honey-cinnamon water. I couldn't really drink it. Someone else my group ordered a green tea latte and said it was equally disgusting.
