After being seated and reviewing the menu, noticed that there is a wide variety of selections. Looking at my neighbors dishes, everything looked delicious . The great reviews made this my first choice for brunch. Checked in about 20 minutes before heading over and when we got to the restaurant we were seated in about 5 min. Sat on the patio, it was a really hot day in Aug but the misters really helped. Ordered the Barbie Benny which had barbacoa beef that was really tasty. The poached eggs were a little overcooked but the dish was really good and very filling. My coffee was a nice treat - summer specialty iced latte (can't remember what it was called) that was not too sweet but flavor and toppings were great. We were 3 couples total and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals from burgers to chilaquiles to the fancy pancakes. Came here for brunch with family. I understand the waiting time, however, I do not know why they have items on the menu that they dont serve anymore. I was craving the margarita flight and our waitress said they dont carry it anymore. Second, the chicken and waffles is shown with coleslaw and they dont serve it with coleslaw and the coleslaw is not in the menu at all. Also, our waitress was not friendly at all! She took a long time to bring water and she didn't bother to come and check on after she brought our food. In no time did she make eye contact or asked if we needed anything else. Another waitress was nice enough to come and check on us and was ontop on what we needed. I would come again, but I hope I dont get the same waitress; she made our brunch not so enjoyable. Have been twice during the week and have been able to get a table with no wait. Service is great and the food is good. However on the last trip we ordered blueberry crepes and when it came out all it was were folded up crepes in a triangle with fresh blueberries thrown on top. My husband and I had the day off today and decided to try Haven Haus Café. Unfortunately, we left feeling very disappointed. It took about 20 minutes just to receive water, even though several tables that were seated after us had already been served their water and coffee. We ordered our food and coffees at the same time. Our food came out quickly, which we appreciated, but our coffees never arrived. By the time we had finished eating, our waitress finally checked on us and asked if we had received our coffees. We obviously hadn't. At that point, we were ready to pay and leave. Instead, our coffees were brought out just as we were asking for the check--and to top it off, they were still included on our bill. Paying $10 for coffees that arrived after we had finished our meal is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but the lack of attention, communication, and service made for a very disappointing experience. read more

Usually busy during the weekends--as is the whole area--but it's within close walking distance of several parking lots, the main parking structure, and street parking. Plenty of seating both indoor and on the patio to people watch the street side. I've tried a few items here, most recently their Belgian waffle. I needed a place to study with coffee and alcohol. This was the perfect spot. Amanda was my server and she was wonderful. She knew what I was there for and she made sure I was ok the entire time. We loved everything about this restaurant, we had just done a tasting of some of the organic wines Pamec, at the farmers market in Temecula and they told us that they had wines there at the Haven house. Our friend had the breakfast tacos and said they were "fire". My husband had the Glow-Up Burger and he enjoyed it. I've been wanting to come here and I'm glad we were able to go during the week. There is always a long line of people waiting on the weekends, but luckily there is plenty of outdoor and indoor dining options. We opted particularly for outside because it was a nice day and we could people watch. Inside was a bit warm even with the windows open. The service was really friendly and the server would come in to check on you a few times. I did order my omelette without cheese, but ended up getting cheese on it anyways. Not a huge deal since I'm not allergic - more of a preference. But if you are allergic to something, I'd recommend you double checking. The food portions are big here so you can definitely share if you'd prefer. Their mocktails are quite good too!
