I have not been here for a mani and pedi as I used to religiously when this place first opened. The place is still pretty clean and quiet, but something seems to be missing. Although I stopped coming after a bad upper lip wax burn, but I always enjoyed the various mani/pedi. The mani/pedi was quite nice along with the massages at the end. Less than negative 0!!! Did not get the Jadyn Taylor experience, instead I got a trainee who was not able to evenly file my nails. After an 1 hr and 40 min. My nails were supper short which is not what I asked for! My Mani never was finished, didn't get nail polish on them, and I didn't want to wait any longer, poor time management. The trainee should of been supervised. Completely dissatisfied. Not worth $35 dollars :( read more

This is not your typical Asian nail salon. I feel that it's cleaner and more upscale. They do a great job in making you feel comfortable and getting pampered. They have a wide variety of colors and offer different brand of polish. What I wish they have is more design skills. The basic french is possible, but anything more is questionable. I would still go back now and then to relax. I would bring my daughter and they don't mind her roaming quietly. Because of that, I like it that much more. read more

Came here recently with a bridal party. Got my nails did and my brow waxed. Everyone was so friendly and nice and this place is decorated and painted so nicely and it is CLEAN! It's nice to be able to talk to staff instead of them talking in another language amongst themselves. It just feels like good customer service here. I was very happy with the services they provided and will definitely return again. They didn't have massage chairs and TVs and the lights aren't turned down so low. This is an update to my last review on Jadyn Taylor. Several months ago, I was in a pinch and went back to JT. Found out that they DO sterilize their tools and now store them in those plastic/paper sterile packs. They've added a couple more lounge chairs for clients, but the walk-in traffic/tempo/noise in the place isn't chaotic as the salons on Park St. That said, since my previous review, I've been back to JT several times for a walk-in mani-pedi, and was assisted by one tech (thankfully, not two). Thus, I'm satisfied with the work. I will admit, however, that I prefer Trang's Salon on Central when I *absolutely* want private service (Trang assists only one client at a time), but you have to book early. ************************ After 4 years, Jadyn Taylor has new management/owners. Name is still the same, but service is no longer what it used to be. I used to love the fact that they never rushed; almost never allowed two techs to work simultaneously on a customer (unless requested); and sanitized their tools with UV light, then wrapped them in those sealed medical pouches. A seriously lovely spa, with seriously lovely girls working there. I was so relaxed I nearly fell asleep in the pedicure chair! Staff was friendly and everything was very clean. A selection of beverages are available - including wine! However, this is not the spot to go for a quicky bit of pampering. I was here for two hours for my mani pedi. It looked quite nice as I left (and man, I had NEEDED one, so I was pretty pumped), but started chipping and wearing away not even 2 days later. Here I am on day 3 and every nail is already polish-less on the tips. Prices are reasonable, but by no means cheap, so I expected a bit more longevity, especially since my "$25 for both" spot around the corner from my old place in SF would last a week before it started chipping or wearing away. I'm sure I'll be back when I'm looking for the spa experience, but I might have to keep searching for a solid, fast & fab spot. read more

I absolutely love this place. I come every other weekend for mani with shellac and pedi. I am warning everyone, do not go anywhere else for your shellac!!! i have gone to many other places here in Oakland and not a single one does as good a job as them. I get compliments on my nails, i swear, every single day! It is a very relaxing atmosphere and the girls are great, always a good ear to listen. And for my Brazilians i see Sophia. She is the best! i used to work at a day spa in saratoga and Sophia is hands down the best, fastest and most painless Brazilians i have had in a long time. Had a great first experience. Got a same day appointment which I wasn't expecting based on the reviews. Staff was friendly and polite and even called to offer an earlier appointment if I could make it. The atmosphere was blissful and everything was very clean. My attendant knew how to skillfully manage my ingrown toe nails which was awesome. Color application, massage, and general cleaning was fab. Certainly looking forward to going back. Friendly service, relaxing atmosphere, great prices and sanitized tools! You couldn't possibly ask for more in a nail salon. Tran was just great to work with and was patient with me as I went back and forth about what color to choose. The salon also has Ombre/Mood gel colors that seemed really cool. There was also just a great selection of colors both gel and regular. Their chairs are also very comfortable and there isn't that chatter that you normally experience in most nail salons. My gel cost $30, which is a reasonable price in my opinion. Let's see how long it lasts. I think this place is worth it for the service you get and the relaxing ambiance. read more

After trip of just surfing all weekend and then flying home, I was completely sore and exhausted. My roommate and I decided to get a mani and pedi last minute, this place was 5mins from us. We called they say to come by we're a bit late because of me but they still were very thrilled to have us the lady I had was amazing I'm not sure what her name was but it started with an "X" anyways she gave me the best massage to the point where I was falling asleep. I think she spent 10mins each leg and arms, we didn't end up leaving the store until the store ended. Anyways I did notice my nails needed an extra coat but they did a great job making sure I was pleased so they rush to make sure I had an extra coat of polish on my nails. My co-worker took me to this location for the my birthday. And i have to say i was very pleased with the young ladies who assist me. I had one young lady doing my mani and other doing my pedi. I felt so relaxed and comfortable. I have to say the one thing i liked about this place is you get the whole spa experience. The girls are actually working instead of talking to each other. Love this place when I am able to get in for a mani pedi. I work on call and my schedule in unpredictable. Rather than making appointments and then cancelling them, I often walk in to establishments asking if they have an opening, Usually, I am warmly received or warmly refused. Jadyn Taylor is not friendly to walk ins. I walked out the door the other morning after being told there were no openings, hearing the officious employee saying, "I HATE it when people do that." Otherwise it is a good clean place that does excellent work. I do not know of another place in Alameda that does not have those whirlpool foot baths, which I am scared of. read more

We had an appointment for 3 and we were promptly seated which is rare at nail shops. There was a nice selection of polishes and we received the signature pedicure. It was relaxing and a definite treat for all the ladies. It was quiet and the energy was peaceful since they dont have traditional massage chairs with tubs which are very loud. They use stainless steel bowls to soak the feet, which reduces bacteria and are easier to clean. read more

I love..love...this nail spa! They offer mani, pedi, facials and waxing. The service was excellent and the quality of care was amazing. It is a new facility, very clean and adorable. Easy to find and the street parking was not a problem at all. Once you step in the door you feel tranquility. It was easy to schedule an appointment, but keep in mind they are not open on Mondays. Since moving to Alameda, I have frequented another nail salon for my monthly pedicures. After reaching my breaking point with that salon's poor quality, I decided to make an appointment at the Jadyn Taylor Nail Spa and am so glad that I did. The spa itself is well decorated and clean. The staff is very friendly and are quick to offer mimosas to the clientele. JoAnn was my pedicurist and, despite the horrible state of my feet, she was able to do a wonderful job. Parking is a little difficult as there is only street parking available. Appointments are a must. read more

A quiet nail salon with calming atmosphere is difficult to find and I am lucky to have found one in Alameda. Most nail salons I've been are over crowded, loud with talk with a feeling of being rushed, not Jadyn Taylor. There were quite a few clients already seated and a few who just arrived but I was immediately accommodated for a pedi as a walk in client. A bonus was my husband who walked in after 30 minutes was also accommodated quickly! The ladies told me they have a few regular men clients, some who book a whole year in advance. The salon is clean which is a very big thing for me. Rather than the sink at the end of the chair, a small silver tub was brought to you. I LOVE Jadyan Taylor Nail Spa. If I could, I'd never leave: I'd be perfectly content to sleep in their big recliner chairs. Imagine, a small but not at all crowded room decorated with calm cool colors with a line of recliners along one wall, and two manicure stations along another. Glamorous chandeliers adorn the ceiling as up-to-date magazines are spread out on the tables. Everyone is extremely friendly and conversational, offering free tea or water while you wait or while you're getting what you need done. The last time I went Mary gave me a mani and pedi and it was amazing. The color was perfect and the experience was by far the best I have had of all the nail salons I have been to (which is saying a lot). I got the black crackle on top of an aqua blue on my fingers and a plum purple on my toes and the polish lasts for a good two weeks. Legs are scrubbed with the sugar scrub of the month then massaged with oil followed by the arms and hands. Hot towels will be wrapped around your hands and legs completely relaxing the muscles. Once you're totally in love with the treatment they start on the polish which is very professionally done. Jadyan pampers their costumers for a very reasonable price and I cannot wait to go back. read more

They have done a really great job every time and the products they use are wonderful and there is not a toxic smell that some salons have. I really want to give this place 5 stars but I just can't. Everything was lovely except for my manicurist. My friend and I booked an appointment for mani pedis and I think my manicurist was confused and when another worker followed up with me about my pedicure. My manicurist had a bewildered look on her face and straight up said "No." Excuse me? I was upset that; first of all, she spoke for me, and secondly, she seemed frustrated that I was getting a pedicure. I had an appointment for both so I don't understand why she was so annoyed. Anyway, Marina, a different manicurist, ended up doing my pedicure and she was great. It seems like everyone is polite except for the lady I had. I guess I was just unlucky.
