I came here a year ago to get a mani /pedi before my wedding. Today I was sad that the girl working with me last time was no longer there. I wanted to go with her again. Overall the experience was really nice, really thorough and the atmosphere is just so pretty. At the end of my appointment i messed up a nail while using the bathroom and they nicely redid it for me. I just wish they had foot spas and back massage chairs. Even though I love coming here, I will probably look for a new nail place closer to my new home. read more

I needed to get my nails for my birthday, so I decided to go to Jadyn Taylot Nails, because it was most convenient. I made an appointment and they were open for walk-ins. Inside the nail salon. It was beautiful, very authentic and culturally diverse. It brings a good atmosphere that it makes you feel at home They have a huge variety of nail colors and the customer service is great. The workers we're compliant and so helpful. The spa and nail era was super clean. They had a unique way of doing nails, which makes them different than other nail salons. They take their time and make sure you are very content. Candy, which the lady that did my nail, she was careful, sincere, and so precise. And then Demi who meticulously did my pedicure was gorgeous. I've been to this place twice and both times i was treated with beyond great customer service! All the girls are sooo nice and great to be around and they are all so talented in what they do. The salon is very peaceful and beautifuly decorated. So far i've had manis and pedis but i am defenitely going back to try out more stuff! I would defenitely recommend this place! read more

You know when something is SO GOOD you almost don't want to share it, well this was my experience at Jadyn Taylor. It was the BEST manicure pedicure I've ever had. I never get my nails done, since I work with my hands I ruin it so quickly. Well I wanted a treat and I got both, a week later they look as good as the did when I left the salon. It's a beautiful clean space, away from the normal hustle and bustle so parking is easy as well. I will definitely be back. Thanks for the great experience. read more

I've never been a nail salon kind of person. I always thought it was a waste of money and time until clients of mine insisted that i tried this place out. Needless to say, once i started, i could not stop going back. I come out of y way from Hayward to see these girls. They're incredibly friendly and fun. They seem to know almost every person who walks in on a friend level which makes the vibe so easy to be in. I'll never go to another nail spa in the area because i fear that i would never enjoy myself the way i can here. read more

One of my favorite nail spas in the bay area. Friendly staffs and chic interior decors. They have a good selections of nail colors and good range of shellac too. Very different from the usual mani/pedi places as them ambiance is more spa like. Great spot! read more

If i could give half a star that would be generous. This place took advantage of a young teen who wanted acrylics for the summer. She got cut and solution poured on the cut then a very poor application. The way they applied the tip, glued over and dipped into powder was sloppy. Every nail was a different length, and nails had dips all over. After going home crying the nails came off easily....WHEN HAVE ACRYLICS EVER COME OFF ON SAME DAY?! This was crap service. Then on top of it they charged her $50. Are you joking?! Acrylics cost $35 anywhere in Alameda. Acrylics are not even on their menu and they should have said, sorry we are a mani/pedi spa only. The young girl did not think of looking at the menu but of course they took her in to rob her and practice acrylics on her. Shame. They offered her $10 as a "good gesture". You suck lady, if you don't know how to do something well, then don't practice on paying customers. read more

I went in for a mani/pedi and it was fantastic. Mary did my pedicure and Nancy did my shellac manicure. Everyone staffed there is very friendly and go out to make you feel comfortable. The decor is chic and modern, I made an appointment and only waited 5 mins and was offered something to drink right off the bat. The strawberry scrub was great, leg massage and hot towels to top it off as a heavenly pedicure. My nails look fantastic and I can't wait for my next appointment :-) read more

if you need a break from life and want a seriously good mani/pedi please come here! there is no chattering or tv or loud music to distract you. The employees are so nice they have homemade sugar scrubs, massage you for more than ten seconds, and you're relaxing the whole time, which is about an hour to an hour and a half. First time there but not my last! The salon is very pleasing to the senses. It has an attractive color scheme, it's clean and bright, no weird smells and the fountain creates a calming sound while you enjoy your service. I went in for a pedicure and had Mary as my nail tech. She was very nice and perfectly engaging. Cost did not exceed my expectation, I was out in about 45 minutes and I got a pretty summer pedi. My only critique is their shared with other businesses bathroom which was not as clean as it could have been and smelled a bit. I've been here several times throughout the last year and I must say, on my last visit I had the worst pedicure I've ever gotten in my life. The polish was old, uneven and chipped within 24 hours. WOW, is all I can say!!!! Im so excited to have a place like this in Alameda, of all the nail shops they have in town its about time there's an upscale place like Jadyn Taylor nail spa. I came in last night to get the Four Layer Facial (which i'd like to mention was 50% off) OMG AMAZZZZZZING!!!!!!!!!! This was by far the BEST facial i've ever had!!! The aesthetician Sophia was incredible, we started with a double cleanse, some exfoliation, extractions and a series of masks with the facial. While the product settled in she massaged my neck, shoulders, arms and feet. I had no idea I was getting a massage and facial all in one! The facial itself was relaxing but this was definitely the icing on the cake!!! Unfortunately I didnt have time to get a mani/pedi while there but I have my appt. set to come in next week! Ive been to Cindy, the nail technician, before they opened here and I wont go to anyone else, shes my manicurist for life! Went back to Jadyn Taylor today and my "dream team," Sophia, Nancy, and Jackie provided another remarkable experience. I had the passport special (35% of the 3 services), which was a facial, mani/pedi, and massage. Nancy gave me an incredible mani/pedi. She took her time, was very thorough, and asked each time she applied a warm towel or massage if the temp/pressure was ok. The shape of my nails, polish, and everything is perfect. Next Jackie gave me a wonderful massage. She knows her stuff! The pressure was great and the experience was relaxing beyond belief! She was very conscious of my needs and provided fantastic service. Lastly, I received a signature facial from Sophia, and just like last time, ti was perfect. The lotions, etc are not heavily fragranced at all, just enough for a pleasant aroma. We talked about a few of the skin issues I have been having and she used products to combat those issues. She also explained briefly what results I should see from a particular product. Fantastic. A few more things I should mention. 1) Everyone here takes their time with you. You are never feeling rushed. They time their appointments very well so each client gets 100% high quality care. 2) The staff remembered me from my last visit. It really made me feel valued as a client and comfortable here. 3) Unlike many spas, JT is NOT pretentious or stuffy at all. They are so welcoming, kind, and pleasant. Truly a terrific atmosphere. I went a few months back and sure hope they have improved. I got the passport deal they had back then and honestly was underwhelmed. I got a facial, message and mani pedi. My facial felt good at the time, but realized that she must have not done the extractions right cause I had a lot of black heads. My message was... not good. I felt achy afterwards. And my mani pedi didn't last very long. Nail polish started coming off a couple of days later. I was looking for a place that would have everything, but I think I'd rather make all those different appointments than go back here. read more

LOVE this place! I recently moved to the bay area and I've been looking for a place to have my nails done - I finally found a great one! I called ahead and made an early bird appointment for a gel manicure, and they fit me in no problem. My technician was extremely gentle, but thorough. The color I selected was a deep red in the bottle, but after two coats it didn't look as dark as I had wanted. My tech took the extra time to apply another coat so that it was exactly the color I needed. The salon itself is very relaxing and "spa like". Jayden Taylor Nail Salon was simply amazing! I just moved to Alameda a month ago and I have tried two other nail salons and they were both horrible. I just looked up Jayden Taylor randomly and so glad I did. I was starting to think I wasn't going to find a good palce and have to revert to driving back to Hayward every two weeks. Until I found Jayden Taylor. Demi did my pedicure and the massage was great. Sophia did my waxing and she is a true professional, explained everything to me and was very patient with my "pickiness" to my waxing, It's funny how important things like this are to someone like me, so I loved the service and professionalism there. Having been to Jadyn Taylor Nail Salon 3 times for Mani's and Pedis for myself and my two granddaughters and having sent my daughter for same and then returning for Gels and an arch I feel I am adequately acquainted with the Salon to recommend it for all services. Emme, Mary, Demi and Joanne couldn't have been more professional. The atmosphere is calm and soothingl The place is immaculate. I don't know what else you could ask for. But.... Don't spread the word too far or you won't be able to enjoy the pleasures as often as you'd like. Took my Granddaughter in today for her mani and pedi before I leave town. Demi did a great fob. She is so quietly successful dealing with 12 year olds. Emmy was so kind to me. I had no appointment for myself because my nails have been acting weird this week. When Emmy saw me she took my hands into her own and said" sit down we are going to fix these". I can only tell you that this group of professionals are awesome. I wish I could take them all home with me to continue the fantastic treatment. But.. I will be back in the spring. I will miss them. read more

I was referred by a friend whose nails always look fabulous. It is a little bit higher than other salons but at the end not really now that I think of it. Pros: made an appointment and was seated immediately. Most nail salons make you wait and wait. I was given a mani and pedi by one person. Usually I have two or three and end up having to tip more people. They had a higher selection of colors The chairs were more comfortable and the place was impeccably clean. Cons: There weren't any. This is the best shellac mani and regular pedi I have had in years. Thanks Joanne. I will definitely be a regular. Maybe it's just me but I want to relax at a nail salon. I don't want to be rushed, I don't want to be ordered to hurry, I don't want to be told to choose my nail color three times while I'm clearly looking over the selection and choosing a nail color. I don't want to be asked, are you ready? Politely, I say "no" only to be told to hurry up. I called Jadyn today and asked if they were available for a "walk in." No one answered so I hung up without leaving a voice mail. 10 seconds later, the receptionist called me unsolicited and said "This is Jadyn Nails, how can I help you?" Evidently it's OK to *69 a prospective customer. So I asked, "are you busy? can you take a walk-in?" She said, "yes. when can you get here?" Me: Maybe 10, 15 minutes? 20 minutes later right after I park my car, I get a phone call and let it go to my VM. I call my VM for messages and it's Jadyn. Clearly annoyed with me, the receptionist said, "where are you? You said you were going to be here in 10-15 minutes. are you still coming? This is Jadyn Nail Salon. Click." I walk through the door and no other customers are there. Just me. I arrive and say, "Hi, just got your voice mail. Are you busy?" Her reply, "you're late, choose a nail color." I look around, there's no other customers. For the next 2 minutes I'm inundated by questions, hovering and demands to hurry up by two impatient employees. I take a deep breath and say, "I feel hurried. I don't want to hurry." The receptionist states that they have appointments to accommodate and I was late. Meanwhile, still no other customer in sight. I say, "that's ok, I'll just leave then. I don't want to hurry. You can tend to other customers." So I left. Found great service with no hassle and no rush at Sparadise on Park Street. Tip for Jadyn: Why not greet customers with "Welcome to Jadyn, thank you for coming. Take your time choosing a nail color, here's your seat when you're ready." It was my first visit to this salon and I was extremely disappointed. I waited for over 40 minutes for a gel manicure, and when it was finally my turn it was extremely rushed. I've had countless gel manicures, and this was the worst by far. The polish is uneven and so thick that there are bubbles and ripples on the surface of my nails. The worst part about the experience is that I was over charged. She charged me $15 more than the advertised price. I will never return. read more

There were parts of my visit today that were awesome, and parts of my visit that were not so awesome. Awesome: * EMMIE. She's absolutely just rad. She did my eyebrow wax and asked exactly what I wanted, how high I wanted my arch, how much I wanted to trim, how thick I wanted it, etc. She said that she goes thicker at first and then if I wanted it thinner then she could make it thinner for me. THANK YOU. I have been to one too many hair salons/brow waxes where they just take everything off and they're like ohp. She finished waxing/plucking my brows the first round and asked me how I liked them. I wanted them trimmed a little more and she said she would do it but not so that I looked bald. THANK YOU. She was a pleasure to talk to, and she also has some pretty sick ear piercings. My brows now look AMAZING. I can't stop looking at my face in the mirror, and I'm not one with self esteem through the roof. EMMIE, YOU ARE THE BEST. * The atmosphere. It's beautiful and tranquil and I didn't hear any of this door squeaking or anything that I have read in the previous reviews, and I was there for 2 hours. It's not this lush place of zen that would cost upwards of $100, but for the price, you can absolutely do no better. There are no gross nail smells except for the obvious smell of nail polish, which I had applied, which was not surprising or disturbing. The chandelier is beautiful and the colors that the walls are painted are just right. * The selection of nail polish. Although I was an idiot and sat down in the mani/pedi chair before I picked my polish... that's totally my bad though. HAHA. * The gratuity method: They had a pile of small reused envelopes at the desk, which was great, because some other nail spas glare at you until you give them a gratuity, or "talk to you" while really just waiting for your gratuity. This is a great method because it is discreet and you can just write the name of your aesthetician on it and leave it at the front desk. * My pedi, minus one nail which you will read about below. It involved a full foot and calf massage and an exfoliation with tropical peach scrub Not so awesome: * My mani/pedi. Sigh. It's kind of unfortunate that it went so terribly. I feel as though my aesthetician Nancy kind of butchered my nails, because the nails of the ladies next to me (being taken care of by Emmie, Demi, Joann, and another lady with no nametag), their nails looked great. I really think the quality of Jadyn Taylor should not be judged based on the quality of my mani/pedi. In particular, I saw that the other girls were using a different brush (?) stroke (?) technique (?) than Nancy was using on my nails and they were more meticulous. I definitely had aesthetician envy of everyone else. They used tools to correct any polish bleeding whereas Nancy would use a large part of her finger which in many cases, took off too much polish or would clump the polish on my nail. For my fingers, there was consistently too much polish at the tip of every nail and she often missed the edges on the sides. However, when I asked her to correct them, she graciously did so with no glares or complaints or retorts, which I appreciate :) As well, when I got home, there were small bubbles on 3 of my 10 fingers. There was one finger with 4 noticeable bubbles on it, which I saw when I was there, and I asked her to fix it. When she fixed it, it looked splotchy, so I asked her to fix it again. By that time, I'd asked her to fix about 1/3 of my nails so I felt bad. There is definitely still a large spot where there is too much polish on the tip of my nail. For my toes, all of them look pretty good! Except my big toe on my left foot, which I didn't see until I got home :( One of the sides is VERY thinly nail-polished and the middle is very thick and now it's really obvious and it's bugging me. HOWEVER, all that being said, the final product is pretty good, after she made the corrections. I just feel like she was not on par with the other girls that were working there, and she spoke considerably less English, so I'm not sure if she fully understood what I was looking for during some of the corrections. Also, I am a TERRIBLE PERFECTIONIST, so I'm not sure if my standards are just super high or not. * The girl who greeted me at the front desk was not very friendly. I mean, I don't need super fricken sunshine, but she just seemed less cheery than everyone else. * Two of the girls (including Nancy) were not wearing nametags showing their names. While I don't think this is a staple at spas, I think it should be kept consistent among the aestheticians. I had to learn Nancy's name because someone else wanted to talk to her and called her name. All that being said, Emmie is really awesome, and I feel like if I had someone different for my mani/pedi, I'd be happier with it. I was a regular customer who made monthly appointments for manis, pedis, and facials. However, after what happened recently I will no longer be a customer. I made an appointment for a facial one week in advance, the date and time was confirmed, but when the day came and I arrived, I was left waiting about 20 minutes, no one bothered to greet me or ask what my appointment was for. When someone else finally came out, after gossiping very loudly in the back area, she looked up my name and said my appointment was accidentally scheduled for the following week. I asked if there was anything they could do for that same day but of course said no. Feeling upset I told her to cancel my appointment because I will no longer be returning. She kept trying to insist I keep my appointment, but I will not be returning there. They seem to act more unprofessional compared to when I first came here. So I went here for a mani shellac service & pedicure. My manicurist was Nhi & I liked her service a lot she was very professional & very attentive. But the reason why there is only a 3 star review is because the application of my shellac treatment was old, low on product and a bit more on the drying out goowie side. So the application wasn't thorough. So there were plenty of holidays on the sides of my nails. Also the implements used for my manicure was dull so I ended up getting the hang nails. Very upsetting because I never have that problem.. Well my shellac started fading & chipping off in less than 24 hours. I called the day after to ask about what I should do about my chipping fading shellac because I was leaving for a trip I couldn't come back to get it fixed. She said to just apply top coat for now & they will give me a shellac service on the house due to the poor product when I have a chance to come back in. It was also lifting & everytime I would run my fingers thru my hair, stands of hair would get caught under the lifted shellac. Once I came back from a 2 day trip, back to work...so due to my busy schedule I have not been able to make it back in. I do plan on coming back to receive a set of shellac in hope of it lasting as long as it's suppose to. Over all I like the ambiance the facility was very clean & spotless. But I will be back on here after I come back to receive my next service. read more

I'm highly disappointed with Jadyn Taylor. My mom & I have each been in twice for mani-pedis, & in those 4 visits only one was a pleasant experience. Last September I went in to get my nails done before a wedding & loved my experience so I recommended it to my mom. She went in this July & was disappointed. Hoping to chalk that up to a one-time deal, we made appointments for this August. Unfortunately, we both had more disappointment. For me, the most frustrating part of the experience was the inconsistency of my tech (she never introduced herself, but I *think* her name was Thu). She did not clip my toe nails & barely filed them, even though they needed it & every other tech has done this with every other pedicure I've gotten. She also cut my feet with the pumice, something I've never had happen, & my feet felt raw for the rest of the day. The massage was practically nonexistent for both the mani & pedi, plus she left tons of lotion on my legs, making them extremely greasy. During the manicure, she clipped my nails almost to the quick, not only painful but *much* shorter than I had asked for. Also, she cut them crooked so that one side was longer than the other & left rough edges & corners. When I asked her about clipping my nails, she acted offended that I would even question her. Finally, she overdid the top coat so that it glued my cuticles to my nails & the polish wasn't smooth over my entire nail. In fact, I had my first chip by the evening & the top coat of an entire nail came off the next morning! Overall, I could have done a much better job by myself at home. I only came here for a waxing appointment with Demi. I tried to tell her how sensitive my skin was but she didn't seem to listen. Now my underarms are red (not pink) because they were not prepped properly and conditioned afterwards. This is not the first time I've been waxed. I've been doing it for 15 years so I know a good treatment. I won't be coming back and I don't advise others who have sensitive skin to come here either. read more
