I did a complete home interior remodel with the assistance of Courtney in the design center and Misty as my sales person. They worked together to get exactly what would work in my home with specific measurement of where to place the furniture as well as light fixtures. They work within your budget and are honest about what pieces work and don't just try to upsell you. The website was fun to shop off of with liking favorites and they could see what I put in my account. Stay away from this store. After spending almost $7000 on a couch, ottoman, entertainment console and rug the staff makes promises they don't keep. We were told 6 weeks for delivery of our couch and it finally showed up just shy of 3 months. Our salemans told us he'd send us $100 gift card for our inconvenience, but that never happened. Then when the couch finally shows up, we get these half full throw pillows. We called Havertys and file a complaint, sent pictures of the pillows and never heard a word. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS STORE! Just awful all around. The sales woman at the store was condescending so I left and purchased items online. my initial purchase indicated delivery in "up to two weeks". Then my invoice said back ordered. so I called...given an early the following month date (3-4 weeks). I was fine with that....then nothing. I follow up at 3 weeks, no date for delivery or item receipt available. so five weeks later without items and having to find elsewhere since they have no idea when they will have them. no communication. maybe not a big deal if you don't need the items, but when youve just moved and are buying new furniture....you want to have it. and when you spend a few thousand dollars at bare minimum honest communication is an expectation. Further, having sales people who want to help and don't act rudely is advisable anywhere. ugh! read more

For the price, their furniture isn't very well made. My furniture began showing signs of wear and tear from basic light use. Even though you pay for fabric treatment it seems like you can't even sit on the sofa without covering it to prevent damage. I've never experienced this with any furniture that I've bought, even purchased cheaper furniture that was better made. Also be mindful with purchasing using their credit if you rely on your credit score heavily. The Credit provider they use is not very reliable. I lock my credit and I guess they run random credit checks and will shut down your line of credit even if you're paying them monthly and on time. They negatively impacted my credit score doing this. What a disappointment. I had plans to buy the rest of my furniture from them but after these two experiences i will not. read more

My husband and I have been casually looking to upgrades a few pieces of household furniture for our house. We came to Havertys since we had purchased a bedroom set while we lived in Virginia. Havertys is not cheaply made furniture and our bedroom set had held up for over 5 years and a move from VA to TX. This particular visit we decided to look at a living room set and dining room table and chairs. We are not a fan of salepeople clinging to you while in the stores. My husband stated to the salesman who immediately started to talk to us that we were just looking at the moment and if we needed anything we would let him know. The saleman did watch us the whole time and also came over once to inform us of their current sales. We did at that time ask a few questions about the particular piece we were looking at. Bought furniture on January 4 at the Alliance Town Center store and it was delivered with a broken door on one of the cabinets. They have not been helpful in anyway. 8 weeks and nothing to try to fix it. They keep saying they will order the part and it will be in within 2 weeks, then 4 weeks then 2 weeks. Now it might be in by April 20. Terrible Customer service. Talk to the manager early today and she said she would right back to me, have not heard from her and doubt I will. We have to call them, they will never return a call. TERRIBLE Customer service. They don't care once they have your money. They use to be better than this, but they dont care. read more

This review is strictly for the customer service at Haverty's - and for Grace who works there in-particular. I have an electric reclining sofa that needed work done because the motor/electrics went out. I called every furniture repair shop I could find in Austin and none of them would touch the electrical system on a piece of furniture. I then tried small appliance shops and electricians and again, no one wanted to work on a power reclining sofa. In a last ditch effort, I called Haverty's and spoke with Grace. I told her I had not bought anything from them but that I had a piece of furniture I needed fixed and would she be able to recommend someone. She recommended two people and was so incredibly nice and helpful about the whole situation. Out of her recommendation, I was able to get my power reclining sofa fixed cheaply and quickly and the repairperson did an excellent job! When I need a new piece of furniture I am definitely going to Haverty's to look around, and they will be the first to get my business based on their customer service and Grace especially. read more

"Haverty's has updated their safety protocols..." Not so much. Attached are pictures of the delivery guys, with no masks on, delivering my replacement table. Besides the clear violation of my family's health and safety, the table that they brought in was broken worse than the first one that they were replacing. They also opened the box inside my house, leaving styrofoam absolutely everywhere and did not clean up after themselves. I have always loved the Haverty's furniture we've purchased, but I won't be shopping there for a long time. They have proven that they 1) aren't taking COVID-19 seriously and 2) aren't able to deliver furniture without something being broken. Within 2 months of buying a sectional, the sofa began "fraying" and "pilling". After contacting customer services and them sending a tech out, he called it "pet damage". Funny - my pet isn't allowed on the sofa, but because you hear a pet and see some pet hair, you assume. Why isn't my other Haverty's sofa purchased at the same time not fraying or pilling? After speaking with a supervisor who said it is normal wear and tear and I should use a shaver...I lost it. What about the one year warranty? No such thing...because they find a reason to not uphold it. I shared that the cushion material was coming apart at the seam. She opened another ticket. Went to upload my pics and the ticket is "closed". So now I have to deal with customer service again to open up another ticket. Fast forward 3,weeks, time to buy dining room table and chairs so I went into Austin to the store I had heard had upscale furniture,"Havertys ". Everything was fine.... until delivery day. The delivery people dropped my table and damaged it. They did set it up and leave it but after being told by the store manager that they would get one out to me ASAP, most likely Monday or Tuesday..... I got a call from the delivery people telling me it won't be until Friday. Bottom line is this... they made the mistake and will make it right when they feel like it! Since there isn't a Pflugerville location on Yelp, I'll post about my experience here for others in the Austin area. Major disappointment with Havertys. Spent over $6,000 on a dining table, 6 dining chairs, a bar cabinet, and 2x recliners. Upon delivery, the bar cabinet was missing its handles. Here we are almost 3 months after the initial purchase, and only 1 handle shows up at our house...pointless. One of the chairs in the dining set needed wood glue at a joint because it was separating. When the recliners arrived, one was missing it controler. I had to go by the store to get a controller, which clearly came used from a floor model judging by how it was presented to me. For the cost, Havertys failed us on multiple levels right up to today, where they couldn't even send both missing bar cabinet handles at the same time. I am done with this company and would recommend against handing over your money to them. The quality is just okay but the fact multiple items showed up incomplete after what we spent, leaves me with the opinion that they're overpriced due to the lacking attention to detail and quality of service across the board. At least at Ikea, you end up with extra parts for what you pay. If I knew I was going to be missing parts and repairing brand new furniture, I would have never stepped foot in this store. read more

My husband and I purchased a Livingroom set. We particularly wanted firm couches and were advised by the sales lady that if we purchased their insurance, if the couches lost their firmness a company would come in to fix them. We selected what should have been good quality firm couches and did not mind paying the cost for them or purchasing the insurance-just in case. 2 years in- the couch's firmness has collapse. We are 3 people in my household with average weight. When I initiated a claim with the insurance, it was declined. I was advised that they do not cover loss of firmness. I explained that 2-3 years did not justify the deflating of these couches as I have a couch purchased at Montgomery Wards that still keeps its firmness. I then contacted the store asking for reimbursement of my insurance purchase and their resolve was to purchase 2 cushion seat replacements. I am disappointed with the deception of the sales lady and the quality of their couches. This will ultimately be the last purchase. read more

We wanted a sectional and looked all over Austin. There are some ridiculously expensive places as well as some that are very inexpensive. Haverty's is a really nice store. You obviously get what you pay for. Our sales person, Shauna, was great. Not pushy, but knowledgeable and helpful. We particularly appreciated her steering us towards getting motorized recliners. I was initially against it, but my Wife insisted. In retrospect, I'm very glad we did. Everyone who sits on our sectional, loves it, including us! We had one issue with it, see the next paragraph. Their repair guy Kevin, is AMAZING! He came out and determined that two pieces of our electric sectional were hitting each other because they were too close together (most people buy the unit with a cup holder piece between the recliners, we didn't want that piece. We noticed it when sitting next to one another and raising or lowering one of the recliners, we could feel them hang up on one another. Kevin fabricated a new piece to spread them out a bit and put it on. Then they replaced the piece that got ripped on the bottom because of the problem. Very impressive and smart. Kevin prevented the issue from happening again when they replaced the piece. We'd use Haverty's again in a second. read more

I recently ordered from Havertys. The day of my delivery they cancelled when they had arranged and told us the date. When I asked when they could reschedule after I called them repeatedly they gave me a date of 10 days later and no apology? Yes, I called them to reschedule. Shouldn't that be the other way around? Go somewhere else. I'm a paying customer waiting for them to give me my product and they could care less! I'm astounded by the awful service and attitude toward their customers. By the way, the reason they cancelled the delivery is their team broke our product by incorrectly loading it and told me they had the truck checked before leaving. Who would lie to their customers? What a sad, pathetic place. I had a nice sales rep. I feel bad for them having to work for such a bad company. Also, they still want to charge me a delivery fee! They told me they would take it off and have not removed it and now say they won't. Please trust me and don't trust them! It is not worth the stress. We all have enough stress. read more

Haverty's used to offer quality merchandise and exceptional service. This has apparently gone away. I made a purchase on 6/20 via their website as it was not possible to see the merchandise in any location within 100 miles of our home. during the processing of the order they committed to a delivery date of 6/30. After completing the order, the delivery had been pushed out a day which was annoying but not a big deal other than for $149 delivery fee, one would expect better handling. I had not heard anything about the status of the order since the time of purchase so went on their site to look for status. I found the order still in a pending state and a service ticket opened stating that they would not be able to make the delivery due to warehouse problems. It seems like any company with a hint of customer service focus would have reached out to the customer to let them know but not Havert'ys. I tried calling the customer service line several times and got only a looping recording saying to "press 2 for an agent" but it never recognized the input. Tried calling the local store but there was no human assistance to be found there either. Terribly disappointing experience and unfortunately will be the last after many years as a Haverty's customer. read more

I WAS a return customer but I will not be purchasing anymore furniture from Haverty's especially the Greensboro Wendover store! The sales person was deceptive with projected delivery date! The date was 2 months longer than she said for 1 chair! The manger found us a floor model and arranged delivery. After waiting ALL DAY after having our delivery time pushed back. At 5:30 pm we called just to discover we weren't getting a delivery at all!!! They didn't even bother to call to inform us they weren't coming. This was the day before Christmas Eve at that!!! The sofa, ottoman and chaise lounge I had picked out to buy once I got chair to see how things were going to fit in my new house I WON'T be buying from Harverty's!!! We had been to so many furniture stores but we couldn't find exactly what we wanted. We did not want to spend a fortune but we did want to get good quality. Our daughter said she knew of one more store so we checked out Haverty's. We worked with Michele Cheavens, Kayla Fiore and the store's designer who has a computer program that is free of charge. We gave her pictures of our room and the dimensions and she took our selections and showed us what they would look like in our room. This is very helpful to understand if the furniture will overpower the room or not and if it will look good with your floor color. It was was also nice just to talk about colors and designs and get their opinions. Michele was always upbeat and ready to help us every time we came in. She really knows their products so she was quick with ideas for us. We also worked with Kayla and she was kind and knowledgeable as well. read more

Less than two years into our new sectional, and it's already falling apart at the seams. Literally. We purchased the Guardsman furniture protection too so we called them but after they came out to look, they said they don't cover piping that's coming apart because they only protect accidental damage, not anything from wear. It's a two-year-old couch and the seams in the fabric are tearing but they said they're not a warranty service so they don't cover poor quality. Just accidents. Fabulous. So not only does Havertys have poor-quality furniture, they sell terrible "furniture protection" that has all the fine prints that make service virtually impossible. Will never shop at this store again. I gave it two stars because we didn't have any incidents with service at the time of purchase. The delivery went well, and the sofa served us fine until now... just thought I'd try to be fair with that extra star, but I will still never go back. $2000 piece of furniture shouldn't be disintegrating in less than two years. I needed to buy a new couch and my last experience with an Ashley Furniture piece was so terrible that I was willing to spend more money and get something that was quality. I looked at Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel etc. but they didn't have anything I was blown away by especially for $2k. I decided to take a look at Haverty's and even I was surprised at the quality and selection. My husband works in retail and I'm a former retail employee from college so places where the employee works on commission just always feel like a used car lot and I avoid them. I was surprised when we walked into Haverty's and weren't immediately attacked (that happened to me at the Haverty's in Cedar Park though that's a whole other story). We at least got halfway into the store before someone greeted us and when we were told her we were just looking she told us where she would be and if we needed anything she'd be happy to help. We really got the chance to look and compare and when we had questions she was right where she said she'd be and immediately explained the construction on the sofa we liked and gave us more info. We got her card, she sent me an email so I had all the info. on the sofa and overall it was a great experience. I went to the Haverty's in Cedar Park to see if they had another color of the sofa in stock so I could compare. I got that used car lot feeling right off the bat and while the employee was helpful, it still wasn't a good experience and I felt pressured. They didn't have what I wanted and I finally had to tell the guy look, if we buy a sofa from Haverty's it's going to be from the employee I originally worked with, not the one who came after me when all I wanted to do was look at a color sample. Jeez. Some of the reviews mentioned the issues they had with shipping and I'm glad now I decided to just pick it up. It was $100 delivery fee and hour house is literally less then a mile from their store so I thought no way, we'll pick it up. I had the BEST experience with buying my BEAUTIFUL bedroom set at Havertys. I originally bought a bedroom set at the Rooms To Go in July 2022 and was told my furniture would be delivered to me Nov 1st. I went into the store mid October to make sure my delivery was still planned for Nov 1st and the woman said we called you and left a voicemail stating your furniture will not be in until Feb 2023. I was furious because no-one ever left me a voicemail nor did the call me. I had just gotten rid of my old furniture just 5 days before and now I had no furniture other than my bed. I did get my full money back from them. I went bedroom furniture shopping all day that following Sunday and the last store we went into was Havertys. I absolutely loved the Veranda set! It was even more beautiful than my original set at the Rooms to go. My sales person was Julie Tremewan (JT). She was AWESOME! She was patient, pleasant and never pushy. I felt like I knew her for years. My furniture was delivered on Nov 19th!! I couldn't believe how fast the delivery was! Not only was it fast but such awesome delivery men too! I only remember the name of one of them and his name was Deshawn. They both were so pleasant and very professional. Not one scratch was on my furniture. I loved the way the furniture was bubble wrapped. I can't say enough how wonderful my experience with Havertys was! read more

Absolutely awful service after purchase - seems like they stopped caring entirely after money exchanged hands. Was told all items were in stock at the time of purchase (one of the main reasons we decided on certain pieces). It was two months from the original delivery date and we had yet to receive our completed order or even a concrete date as to when we would finally receive our order in its entirety. Communication was poor, deliveries were cancelled without phone calls, customer service told us they would return phone calls and never did, and delivery details were changed without informing us. The furniture is pricey and not worth the inconvenience and hassle we have encountered. I finally gave up and cancelled the remainder of our order and asked that we receive some sort of refund/credit for the inconvenience we encountered. We spent almost $7,000 on furniture and were told that all they could do for us was refund half of our delivery fee = ~$85. To be honest, that was more of an insult than a gesture but I did not want to deal with them any more so I accepted that and moved on. The only reason I gave the two stars is because I do love the coffee table and couch that we did receive- but I would imagine comparable items could be found elsewhere. Save yourself some stress and purchase furniture from someone else. read more

This store has to have the worst customer service. Everything goes great when they are selling you merchandise. When trouble arises with the couch not holding up, when the vendor doesn't cooperate the manager Liz disappears and doesn't return a single email or phone call to you. I will not buy again.
