Bought a couples massage certificate for my parents and they simply loved it! My mother is a very picky woman and she raved about their cleanliness and hospitality. My father isn't too into massages and was hesitant about going; he ended up loving the experience, and gave an additional tip after they were done. The process was easy and so accommodating as a purchaser. I gave them the my parents names and they asked for their robe and slipper sizes to have prepared for them when they arrived. With all Hawaiian Experience Spas closed down now without prior notice to customers, I am wondering how we recover the monthly paid credits that have not been used. Does anyone know of a pending law suit or should I be contacting a lawyer? Please let me know if anyone else has lost money to the spa This is a total disappointment let alone knowing and willful fraud. I would hope that Mike Iback would do the right thing and remediate the fraud to his loyal customers. If you look him up on internet there are posts as to what a great guy. I've done both a facial and massage. For the price, the services were ok- there wasn't anything that stood out or was special compared to other spas offering similar services. With the membership though, I think could be worthwhile. The showers are really nice with multiple shower heads. They used to give you a Ghirardelli chocolate in your locker but now it's a peppermint. read more

This business has been closed since December of 2025, and yet is still attempting to charge my credit card for a "monthly wellness plan". I prepaid for twelve sessions in May of 2025. Phone calls to this business or its sister location in Scottsdale go unanswered. I've filed a dispute with my credit card issuer for prepaid services not rendered. read more

I have a membership at the Goodyear location. I found out in early Jan that this location closed in Mid December for what they said was a temp closure. Since mid Jan I have been trying to speak with the owner Mike by calling and sending several email to no avail. In my emails I indicated I wanted my membership cancelled but they keep charging my card. This owner knows what he's doing is wrong that's why he is not responding to anyone. read more

Hawaiian Experience Spa in Goodyear initially claimed the spa would be closed till early January, meanwhile continuing to charge our monthly membership fee. We have called twice and emailed twice to get answers and cancel our membership. Nothing. We just went to their Scottsdale location and they are also closed. It's a Saturday. The Goodyear location is closed. The Scottsdale location will not answer the phone and the owner Mike refuses to return any calls or emails. They continue to take auto payments out of their clients bank accounts and not inform the clients they are closed. They are stealing from innocent people that supported their business for years. read more

I was able to get a cancellation form for the wellness plan from the Scottsdale front desk and submitted it. Unfortunately I was charged again today for another month. Received no calls or emails about needing to cancel the appointment and when I call the Scottsdale office there is a weird message about the phones being down. I'm literally fuming right now because back during COVID they did some shady stuff too. Love the massage therapists but the owners are awful! Excellent Mainland massage by Jessi. I asked for deep pressure and got exactly that, and she was very pleasant and professional . Additionally, the place smells tropical and amazing. The first-time pricing for massage is reasonable--about what I've paid elsewhere for a 90 minute massage. I would not pay the non-member price to return, as it's exorbitant. Additionally, I could live without the lengthy pitch for membership uppn checkout; not the most relaxing finish to an otherwise lovely experience. I don't get massages often enough for a $78 monthly membership to be worth my money, so I'm not sure I'll go back. Such a shame, since I would love to book with Jessi again, sometime. read more

How amazing is this place! First time visiting and I will absolutely be back! You are given a locker with an amazing robe and shoes. They have 2 rain showers with all the amenities you need. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, blow dryer, combs and even deodorant if you want! They also have a sauna. Jess did my massage it was absolutely lovely. Pro tip: Read your membership cancellation policy thoroughly. This review is for the Goodyear space. It was a rocky start because my first massage appointment was moved and then cancelled by them. No worries, they added a free service to my account which I appreciated. I signed up for a membership for 90 minute (core) massage each month at a very fair price. I had great luck with my massage therapists so my review is not in any way directed at them. Here are a few reasons I am not able to leave a better review and why I left: - Sauna never worked the whole time I was a member. - The most uncomfortable spa slippers in the world. - Once I was literally on time on the button and the front desk staff says to me "you're late". - I was asked every time I checked out for a 30% tip and not in a nice way. - I brought a guest once and front desk made sure that I understood that I could not use my credit on file for my massage because it was not a core massage. Weird but okay. I cancelled my membership because I just never really looked forward to going there except for the quality of my massage therapists. I signed the cancellation paperwork and left. A month later I thought I would just go back and use the one I had left. Well, it had expired. I should have read the policy that I signed and that's on me but I really don't agree with the policy as a business owner myself. I mean 3 months maybe but 30 days and then you are SOL. I reached out to them and true to form, it was brought to my attention that it's right there in the paperwork. I get it but It feels shady to me and I am glad that I cancelled. I bought my husband a massage for our anniversary. I wanted a smaller business instead of going with a big chain (granted I know they have a couple of locations in the valley). I wasn't sure what it would be like but they had good reviews and lots of services. I was so pleased when he came home and told me about everything. On the outside this place seems like nothing special, but inside it's luxurious and relaxing. He had a two hour custom mainland massage and left feeling great. He opted for a deep tissue because of a lot of tense tight muscles and it's been maybe a month since the massage and his back is still feeling great! read more

You want people to call in when they are sick to "protect" your employees - however, they are penalized for it. My Mom called out as soon as she felt sick to be "respectful and caring" towards your employees. You called her as she was driving there to cancel. What about your clients time - does that not mean anything to you? Point is - reward your clients - my Mom made every appointment and was loyal to your small business for over 3 years. Do to your lack of care for your customers - not only did your business lose a valuable client - so did a really great employee!! So the end result was you NOT protecting your employee over that.. :( Do better. read more

I have asked for this credit in either form: a service or a refund. Please do not use this facility!!! Finally received a response from owner, Mike Ibach, who refuses to refund the $149 left on my gift certificate. I had a really nice experience here. The staff was all really nice and helpful and Christy my massage therapist was very professional and kind. I thoroughly enjoyed my traditional massage and I appreciated that they have a shower available afterwards so that I could wash of the oil prior to getting dressed. This spa is located at the end of a strip mall plaza and is pretty nondescript on the outside. However, this is deceiving. It's a really nice setup they have inside. I am interested in trying the Hawaiian style massage when I return. read more

I highly recommend this place if you're NOT someone like me! I am a person who has neck and back pain due to two extremely damaging car accidents. The therapist (I forget his name) was extremely nice and sounded like he knew what he was talking about (which is a good thing), but unfortunately it didn't seem that what he was doing was the best thing for me. The pain I felt in the left side of brain as he dug his thumb into the back of my neck (where my injury is) is indescribable. I made it known that this was uncomfortable and unbearable. He stated that it just needed to be worked through, but he did not let up as I was telling him about my pain. I left there feeling worse than when I came in. It is now 5 months later and I still feel the pain that I started experiencing when I left. Again, I only recommend this place if you don't have severe issues with pain. read more

I arrived 15 minutes early on December 2nd at 6 pm, and was asked to provide my gift certificate number because my service was "already used". It was definitely not I explained that I typically purchase online and are never provided an actual certificate. I showed her my transaction number but the gal was unable to locate the gift certificate number. She could see and confirm that I purchased three certificates and used two and that there was no visible exp. date. Since the assistant manager was on vacay and no one else could help us, the gal called the owner who stated he was 'off' that day was unable to assist us in retrieving the gift card through their own system because he was not at a computer. As the manager and owner on duty I would have expected more. The owner told the gal that he "will check it when he can get to it but it probably expired!" My last two of three services were used this past August it is now the 2nd of December. So after no resolution, wasted time, personal appointments that were rearranged to make this date happen, I was told I would be charged for a no show service! Absolutely not! I do not see that I will go back to this place if the owner himself couldn't find resolution and with such a blasé attitude only to be told that I am considered a no show for a customer that has been going there for years! How Embarrassing!!!!! I just found out that my wife who I surprised a couple weeks ago with a facial was charged for her services when I specifically called earlier in the day to make the appointment and verify that my credit card would be charged. I was assured that everything was taken care of and I would see the transaction later on that day closer to the appointment. I've been coming to this spa for a few years. It's time for a review! While there are a variety of talented therapists here, I recommend Juan. He is fantastic. Attentive to your needs, you are sure to leave feeling like a better version of you! The facility is always clean. The staff are welcoming. I would suggest the lomi lomi traditional Hawaiian massage. It hits on all the points of exotic, unique, and relaxing. I haven't gone back to Swedish massages since! The spa offers specials for birthdays as well as referrals. What can I say about Karen? She is beyond AWESOME! If you want an amazing facial/spa experience, I can't give enough stars for her. I went to Angel one time and I have to admit, he was great. I had not gone to a male massage therapist for almost 8 years because of a terrible experience, so if I had known Angel was a man, I would not have made the appointment. When I told him my concern, he was very kind and apologetic and asked me if I wanted to reschedule. I told him, no, and jumped back in the deep waters! I am glad I did. I could write much much more, but have better things to do with my time. Lost money, no customer service, won't call back, had no manager on duty, the massage therapist wouldn't stop when I asked her to and her ego replied, "I will when I'm finished," ANNNNNNNNND people weren't in masks and the mask sign wasn't being enforced nor were the staggered check in times. Seems like another business pretending to follow guidelines. Overall, the massage, the energy, the covid safety and massage treatment was lackluster and SCARY! To have somebody not stop and be asked three times against consent is well, ENOUGH SAID! Wish they were friendly, wish they didn't have attitude and overall wish they were being safer. Not just for me, or risking injuries to others during bodywork, but with this virus that is changing the planet. A very 2D 3D experience. Old world. I am so thankful I wasn't hurt, didn't catch covid (took a test) and am moving about my day and back to my AWESOME THAI MASSAGE THERAPISTS!
