Dear Hawaiian Experience Spa staff, Last year around July I started experiencing some health issues that resulted in quite a bit of pain. I hate the way narcotics make me feel, and refuse to take them. Since then I haven't had one single pain free day, until last Tuesday. On Monday I came in for a Lavender Experience scrub and massage with Rina. I woke up on Tuesday and at first didn't know what was happening. Something was different but I wasn't sure what. When I got out of bed, I stood for a moment waiting for the inevitable pain, but...nothing. No pain. No pain?!? I didn't want to waste one single second. I started thinking of all the things I'd be able to take care of, and wondered how long it would last. Common sense prevailed, because I knew I had exacerbated my pain by stubbornly refusing to acknowledge it to begin with. I called the spa to tell them and to thank everyone there, and Rina in particular. I remained pain free until late in the day. When I felt my back tightening I knew the pain would quickly follow, but I really didn't care at that point. I had forgotten what it was like to feel good, and Tuesday was truly a gift. Now I know going forward that pain doesn't have to rule my life. I am so grateful to Rina and everyone at Hawaiian Experience Spa. Instead of just relying on my bank to get my money back I called the Scottsdale location again a couple of days ago to see if anyone was there. I spoke to Terri and explained how they had taken our money just 2 days prior to them getting the notice that they were being evicted. By taking our money when they knew they were being evicted, I told her that was fraud. She said the only thing she could do is call Mike the owner and she would let me know. She called me back in about half an hour and told me she had spoken to Mike. He said he had more important things to deal with than a client. I will be calling my bank again to let them know that this company is still in business and the owner fraudulently took our money a couple of days prior to being evicted. He is telling people he will reopen because he wants to keep the money coming in through the memberships and people don't know any better. However, there is absolutely no way he is ever going to be able to reopen that place again. The damage is been done. The business is not trustworthy. He should have been a stand up owner and let his clients know directly what was going on but instead he is lying about reopening. He initially had the Goodyear phones going to Scottsdale but now they don't. It says you will be transferred but in essence you are hung up on. read more

This was my first time at Hawaiian Experience Spa. My husband bought me a gift certificate for Christmas and I was finally able to use it for my birthday. My morning started off with a toured the facility. That was followed with a quick change into a soft robe and a 20 to 25 minute stay in the sauna. The pampering started with Shay, who came to get me for my first treatment. She started with a full body scrub. I rinsed off in one of the two amazing shower areas and then back to the treatment room for the body wrap wuth a scalp and neck massage. I selected the mango scent to help me feel like I was back in the islands. I rinsed off again and was back in the treatment room for that hour and 20 minute hot stone massage, which was amazing. At this point I could have showered off, but decided to leave the oils and lotions on as I still had one more treatment. Shay handed me off to Jamie from my 90 minute custom facial. My hands and feet were rubbed with oil/lotions and wrapped in warm towels. Jamie Clean, oiled, lotion, massage, moisturised my face and massage my scalp again. 4 to 5 hours later I was leaving happy, contented and a little sad that my Hawaiian Experience Spa was over. I canceled my membership on November 14, 2025, with 2 credits left to spend, yet I am still being charged more than two months later. Despite having remaining credits on my account, my appointments were canceled without explanation, and I have been unable to reach anyone at the business for clarification or resolution. Due to the continued unauthorized charges, I was forced to contact my bank and place a stop payment. Additionally, the owner has deducted my credits as though I attended a massage appointment, even though I did not. I most recently received a receipt dated today for a massage service I did not receive. Based on my experience and similar issues reported in other customer reviews, I am increasingly concerned that fraudulent or improper billing practices may be occurring. If this matter is not resolved immediately, I am strongly considering pursuing legal action to recover the charges and address these practices. read more

Hawaiian Experience Spa knew months ago, maybe even longer than that, that they were going to go out of business. Still... They kept charging their membership $90 a month. I now have $1800 in credits and after promises of becoming bigger and better... They have now closed their doors indefinitely and continue to try to charge our credit cards for their membership fee. Unethical thieves. Go check out reviews for their Scottsdale facility as well... Lots of unhappy people with lots of unused credits that we're probably not goimg to get reimbursed for. One person even reported that the owner is withholding 2025 W-2s from its therapists and has not been paying them for recent work prior to closing, also that he knew he was going to close and still kept charging us members their monthly fee knowing full while they were not gonna honor most upcoming appointments. Came here 2 different times and loved it. My massage was amazing and very professional. Although I think anyone who books a massage is typically not on the shy side. I think the best part of booking of a service here is the showers! They have two huge, luxury showers and I swear being in either one is just as good as the service you payed for itself. Last time I was here I had a one hour main land custom massage then when it was complete I was walked to the shower to get fresh and clean, I took my sweet time in there cuz it was just so awesome! Theres a shower head directly above you and a couple of jets that shoot out of the side so you're getting hit from every angle, love it. Even the body wash and shampoo they had available left me smelling really good. I'm definitely coming back as soon as finances allow. Love this place. read more

After disputing my charges every month since December, this company had the audacity to send me an email saying my payment got rejected this month and to please update my payment method. I am soooo over Mike Ibach. He has put us all through so much stress and extra work month after month after years of loyalty from us. I have visited the spa in Scottsdale several times and i decided to try their new location in Goodyear. The service is excellent. I was greeted and taken to the changing area quickly. I was then led to the lounge to wait for my therapist. The lounge was very spacious and comfortable. My therapist greeted me promptly and took me to the therapy rooms. I had booked a lomi lomi and it was awesome. She felt out all of my tense spots and did an excellent massage. After the massage I went to the showers. I LOVE their showers. So many showerheads. It was an awesome experience that i will definitely do again. read more

I have a gift card and the purchase was a huge mistake. After numerous attempts to contact the owner about a problem I'm having with the gift card, I have gotten ZERO responses. Come to find out, they are closed in Goodyear. I drove over there (FROM TEMPE!) to talk to someone in person about the problem since I couldn't get them on the phone and what do I see? From the moment I walked into the spa till I left I new it was worth traveling to. The receptionist was very friendly and started with a tour of the spa. Then I met the therapist who was very friendly and cheerful and I also found out very knowledgable about her work. She was very good and I would have to say I had the best massage I ever had. I have driven from out of state twice this summer to receive services from this spa. I love the unique massages offered, and the therapists who have massaged my husband, my brother, my mother, and me have been outstanding. The front staff is kind and helpful. This spa is worth the drive. It is small but mighty. Very VERY impressed. If I live in AZ, I would definitely get massages at least once a month. I recommend the lomi lomi, and the chocolate scrub/wrap/massage. read more

Update: What a terrible customer service experience! First my appointment was canceled because of staffing, then they got evicted, now this spa is "in abeyance" according to their website. Please don't spend money here. It is a complete scam. I drove up to their other location near fountain hills, and the front desk guy was completely unhelpful. I have been going to the Goodyear spa since the week it opened back in 2015. I have always had an excellent experience. The spa is clean in every respect and staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The spa offers scrubs, wraps, massage and facials as well as lockers and showers all at a fraction of the price at other spas that offer these services. You will not go wrong. Give it a try! I have been coming to Hawaiian Experience for a year now. My wife and I got couples Lomi Lomi massages on our anniversary and since then she got me a membership and I love it. If you cannot make it one month the credit rolls over and you can even share them. The staff in Goodyear always take great care of us.
