Solid poke option but I think it's pretty middle of the road compared to the many other poke options around SD. $14.50 for small with two scoops of protein and $16.50 for a medium with three. I like that for the different sizes they actually have different size bowls compared to other places that have the same size but just more fish. Pretty standard base and topping options. I like how you can include avocado at no additional cost. The flavor of the fish was decent. My partner got the spicy tuna and spicy salmon and unlike other places we're they chop the fish into bigger chunks, they pretty much minced it into a mushy paste which was a little odd. My partner prefers the more standard cubed option. One thing about the bowls is that because they pack it in, it does make it harder to eat. I feel like other places have bowls that have higher edges which makes eating easier. read more

I had known them for their huge, overflowing bowls. It seems like they had reduced the size of their fish portions, and I was a bit unsatisfied after eating my bowl. They are super generous with rice and toppings, but the balance between fish and everything else was off. Not worth $17 for a small bowl. I do like their OG (orangey garlic) sauce. This poke place is located in a shopping center in Mira Mesa. It's a small, order at the counter type place. I placed my order for store pickup and I was disappointed when I opened the bowls at home. Both the bowls were made without any sauce, and I requested TWO types of sauce on each bowl. Unfortunately my bowls had no flavor. They also limit the number of toppings, and sesame seeds counts as a topping. Seems odd that sesame seeds count just as much as avocado. Based on my experience and tasteless bowl, I cannot recommend this poke place. read more

We were really craving poke and have been looking for good spots since moving back down to San Diego. I had heard good things about The Poke Co, so we gave it a chance. The staff was really friendly when we came in, and were very helpful through the process of building our bowls, which were large in portion. Unfortunately, the quality of the food could have been better. The rice was cold and hard (as we saw them struggle to mold it to the bowl when serving it), the tofu had a sour taste to it (despite asking if it was marinated in anything), the fishes were slimy, and the veggies looked dried out... We were hopeful that the prices would equate to the quality but we were left disappointed. We hope that the ingredients will be fresh if we decide to visit again. read more

I was shocked at how small the portions are for the price point. The taste of the sides were fresh. I think they should serve more rice with every bowl so your meal doesn't turn into one big sushi porridge. I had some of the spicy tuna, and it smelled a little old, I'm wondering if they use the older chunks of salmon and tuna to make the spicier mince instead of throwing it away. They could also offer this "close to expiration" fish as part of their buy 1, get 1 free offers as some profit is better than none. read more

Just like other poke establishments, you customize the bowl to your liking and they make it in front of you. The house poke sauce was pretty good and all the topic options were great. Most consistent Poke place I have found in San Diego. Good quality of fish, large portions, wide array of toppings and sauces. Prices have gone up over the course of the pandemic and then again throughout 2022 (but so has every other place). Heard a few good things about this place and tried them out. I got the 3 scoop bowl with scallops, spicy tuna and salmon. I had everything added on it (as I usually do when I eat at poke bowl places), and their original Poke Co sauce to top it. Everything looked great until I dug in. The fish and ingredients were NOT fresh. The fish was fishy smelling and I couldn't even get through half the bowl before I had to throw the rest away, same for the hubby. It tasted terrible.
