Great after hiking spot for some dessert! They have lots of different flavors to choose from and three different sizes. I thought a small would be too small for one person but my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I tried the POG and the Ube and both were really good. Great flavor. You can add ice cream to these for an additional $1. Worth the add if you ask me. The ice cream is super thiccc. The counter ladies were friendly. They give you a buzzer that will tell you when the shaved ice is ready. There's seating outside. No indoor seating. They're located on the second floor.

So good! We had a lot of shaved ice on the island and this was our favorite. Great flavors. Nice people. Good prices. Highly recommend!

Amazing shave ice. Real fruit and no artificial flavors/colors! Tried the POG, Ube Coconut & Blue Hawaii. We will be back!!!

We were in Captain Cook area and decided to stop in. If you're driving by, you need to make that quick left turn into the parking lot or you're going to have to make a u turn on that busy highway. Service was good and they have a patio with table to eat out side. As for the Shave Ice, it's great to see more and more places serving it and Ninja didn't disappoint with natural flavors and the ice was perfectly fluffy. Portions are generous so you may want to share. I'll be back next time I'm on the Big Island.

This is a great spot for shaved ice. They make all the syrups in house and you can really taste the quality. I got the Blue Hawaiian which was delicious. Loved the ice cream in that one.

The ube was amazing! Usually I opt for fruit flavors but we saw ube and thought why not? It did not disappoint! The ice texture was fluffy. The flavor was very ube so not too sweet. The size was just right to share with 1 other adult. The shop itself is small. There's only enough space for a few patrons to order inside but there are plenty of tables that the other businesses share that you can use. The service was prompt and good. They were obviously busy but they did take the time to acknowledge, say hello, and let you know they'll be with you after they finish a few of the orders ahead of you. This is probably one of the best shave ice we've had in the state. For some reason, the ice wasn't melting as quickly as other places we've been to. So it allowed us to enjoy and savor rather than race to finish it before it becomes a pool of sugar. We will def return next time!

I didn't think anything could top Ululani's, but for fresh flavors and value, this place does it with ease! We loved it... got seconds... and will be back!

Shaved ice was fantastic, outdoor seating with cover, and the service was pretty quick!

Probably one of the best shave ice places we had on this trip (we had a lot). Delicious shave ice with a lot of flavors. All of the flavors were good and did not taste artificial. Warning, they are a bit slower re: service so be prepared to wait.

    Ube coconuts

Such delicious natural homemade syrups. Excellent customer service.Prices are a little higher but high quality ingredients. Ube coconuts is by far my favorite shaved ice on the menu. I've tried almost all Of them, grew up in Hawai'i eating a lot of shaved ice, it's not like typical shave ice but it's actually so much better. 10/10 recommend this place

The shaved ice was soft & not heavy! The flavors were natural but still perfectly refresh after the beach!

This place was prefect after a day at the beach! Delicious natural flavors, the shaved ice was fine & not heavy

We had a lot of shave ice while on the island...this was my favorite! The flavors tasted so natural; not artificial. And the ice was soooo fluffy! I also appreciated the paperboard bowls (recycled?), though you gotta eat it kinda quick! Not the cheapest shave ice, but it is the one that makes you realize that there might be something better than ice cream!

Delicious, delicate, artisan shave ice. It was the first time I've had soft shave ice with flavorful and not overly sweet. Fun flavor combinations that appealed to all the people in our group and with dairy free options. The mochi was the best I've ever had in my life and I've tried plenty. Strongly recommend! Beautiful eating area linai Warning: as you eat multiple people in our party had theirs fall over onto the table. Not ideal! Eat carefully

They have 2 long picnic tables right outside to sit, but other than that it'll likely be takeout. The parking lot is very compact with a 15min time limit. Not sure how strict they are about the 15min limit, but just be courteous so others can also park and enjoy the food! There was already a line when we arrived, so I recommend getting there early. Their poké also tasted so fresh! Their portions are smaller and prices are higher for the amount you get compared to other poké places... but for sure it is quality over quantity here. I'm OK with that. I'm not a huge ahi poké gal, but they didn't have salmon so I just got it with the garlic shrimp. But everything was so delicious! The seaweed salad, imitation crab salad, kimchi, and kimchi mussels were all good. Fairly simple to order: bowl vs plate (1 side for bowl and 2 sides for plate, 2 servings of poké). Brown vs white rice. Top shelf: sides. Bottom shelf: poké. They also offer a variety of sauces for your poké. They are all pretty good, but my favorite was the avocado aioli. The wet Hawaiian and Pele's kiss were also good per family. Definitely worth trying and repeating. Personally, I prefer this poké place over Pau Hana Poké. Service was nothing spectacular, just efficient and busy. No small talks here.

We did the 3 meat combo: Garlic Chicken, Short Rib, and Panko Fish w/ adobo fried rice + sesame corn on the side. I typically would order a mac salad and garlic shrimp but wanted to switch it up randomly for this occasion. Also grabbed two of the Hawaiian Sun drinks for $3.50 per drink which was expensive, but convenient, as we were driving out to catch the sunset and star gazing immediately after picking up our food. If I were to reorder, I'd do the same 3 piece combo, highlighting that the panko fish was surprisingly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside so this was a great option. I'd probably go with mac salad and give the kimchi fried rice a try. A friend did let us try the purple sweet potato salad side. This was a nice change of pace similar to the traditional mac salad.

Plus prices are also set at a fair setting. The vibe inside is cozy but definitely on the smaller side with limited seating, so it tends to get pretty crowded, and you might experience a bit of a wait. While the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, the food itself left a little to be desired. I ordered the Animal Burger expecting something a bit more flavorful, but it ended up tasting pretty ordinary. Some might disagree and absolutely love it, and while it wasn't anything too special for me, it's still a solid, friendly spot. I'd still recommend it if you need a quick, convenient stop for a casual meal!

As soon as we entered the bake shop, we were astonished to find a long line. However, the line moved pretty quickly. I got the veggie avocado cheese sandwich. My husband got the fried fish plate. We also got a few Malassadas. This was like a fried doughnut. We got the mango, guava and pineapple flavors. My favorite was the pineapple one. The bread itself was super soft, and the pineapple jelly was super tasty. The mango pastry was also good, however, it was a bit dry for my liking. My veggie sandwich was packed with a variety of vegetables. The bread itself was very soft. I did have to add a bit of hot sauce, salt, and pepper because the sandwich itself did not have any flavor. My husband's dish also lacked flavor so he had to add a lot of hot sauce, salt and pepper. All in all, we had a great experience. The buns are a must try. They have plenty of outdoor spacing for seating. They also have a ton of interesting items to purchase. Given the historical relevance, this spot is a must visit.

Our dining spot was a legit wrap around couch which was amazing for our son's 4th birthday. Always a 5 plus star ambiance. Service - 5 stars. Not only was our waitress extremely educated on every selection on the menu, but so were the helpers. Food - the reason for my 4 stars. The sashimi poke was a 3star for sure. Lukewarm, zero to no flavor at all. Hard pass when I end up looking at pricing at the end of the evening and I seriously wanted to see what it costed because I should've sent it back. The boxed bread was pretty good but I felt like it was more artistic in sight than it was in my mouth. The salted butter made it more unique tasting but just bread. Garlic Fried rice we ordered because it was "popular". 4/5 but really was actually what you'd imagine. I could go with or without it. Australia Waygu short rib was a 5/5. It was kinda pot roast feeling but man the curry made it slammin fashooo. Luckily we weren't that into the bread so we had more than half of it left to make sure whoever did the dishes had an easy job cleaning up. I don't think we left any moisture on the plate. I will be recreating this in my slow cooker at home. Amazing Fish of the day aka Mahi Mahi. Man we went against everything we know. Fish of the day, fish special, anything that seems to be mentioned heavily and on the seafood side should always be what you avoided. Well, we didn't. My wife likes it, but for me it was a 2/5 at best. On its own it was a 0/5 but mixed with its dressing and everything else it came with it was a solid 2/5. Extremely fishy and went along with the appetizer. Should've sent it back. Dessert - 2/5 and another letdown. The butterscotch miso was unique but for myself it missed almost completely. Comes with entirely too much sauce that the server actually applies to the desert instead of leaving it as a dipping sauce. By the time you're 2 bites in; the ice cream is mixed in with the butterscotch and it's just lost in translation. Hard no for me. My son for the macaroons for his dessert and I'd say a 5/5 as he threatened me if I touched them, and the sticky rice my wife had I'd say was a 4/5 and something I'd order, but wasn't anything out of the normal for me. The menu is small but in actuality extensive with enough selections to want to go back. I'd recommend this place to anyone off the location and service alone but also knowing the things they did right, stood out.
