I drove by this restaurant and they immediately peaked my interest. Going on a Wednesday morning, there was only one other patron dining, and I was a little worried that it wasn't gonna be good. I was TOTALLY wrong. Substitute entryway the decor side was very cozy and the service was friendly and efficient. My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak and I ordered the southwest brisket hash. The country fried steak was absolute perfection! The gravy wasn't too heavy. It was perfectly crisp and the potatoes were delicious. I'll be getting this next time for sure. My brisket was yummy. I should've ordered the tortillas instead of the toast. It was so flavorful. I can't believe I never knew about this place, but we will be back for sure! read more

It saddens me to write a review like this but it's only fair to share it. For starters the food is pretty good but that's where the compliment ends. I have been to this restaurant 6-8 times over the last several years. The service from start to finish has gone down hill drastically. I have had my own businesses several times and it's a tough gig. This should NEVER give an owner the right to treat her employees so horrible. Ray has been an employee for quite some time. He tries so hard to fill in at any position needed. This past Sunday 8/31 the owner snapped at him and another female server. After doing so she walked away mumbling and purposely slammed a chair into the table. Something like this happening once on a bad day then learning from it might be okay. Unfortunately this is now the standard. On this visit and once before the owner said she was frazzled and it's obviously showing. WRONG THING TO SAY. Get yourself in check behind the scenes and do not have your patrons feeling so uncomfortable. We were even once told on one of her bad days that she wanted her son to take over the business and he was not interested. From the example he sees... no wonder why. We pass this restaurant all the time, and I've always wondered if it was good or not, so we decided to stop in a give it a try. This place really reminded me of rural Kansas. There was a retro, country/Midwest vibe that I really enjoyed. It didn't hurt that there were a lot of sunflowers drawn on the windows, giving it that Kansas feel. We walked up around 11am on a Sunday. There were people waiting inside and out but we were quoted about a 30 min wait and it only ended up being 20, so I was happy. The place is highly decorated with a lot of knickknacks and kitschy Americana. Old school country is on the playlist. There is plenty of seating and the place looks pretty clean, even with all of the tchotchkes. We ordered breakfast and it was pretty good but there were some issues. My husband is lactose intolerant and asked if they had non-dairy creamer for his coffee. They said no so he got an orange juice. Then the table next to us ordered coffee, with non-dairy creamer and they got it. International delights, exactly what my husband asked for. We weren't mad or anything, just found it funny. We got coffee somewhere else afterwards. We also had a few order issues, like not getting the correct potatoes but it was ok. Our server was nice, but a bit busy, so we didn't see them very often. However, they were there when I needed them so boxes and the check, so I have no complaints there. I'll definitely add this place to my rotation of nearby breakfast spots. read more

We were in town for soccer and this restaurant was close to the field. We arrived around 11am, so there was a bit of a wait. I ordered the Southwestern Brisket Hash, it was just okay in my opinion. I wanted something spicy, but the flavors didn't work well for me and a tad salty. First time here for a meal. In this case, for a Sunday lunch. The place was well-packed with diners in a rustic setting. I ordered a Denver omelette with egg whites, toast, and hash browns. It was delicious and came quickly despite the crowds. I also wanted a small plate of French toast, and the server suggested the kids' meal, which was the perfect size. We like to place pick up orders and this place constantly turns off the option on their website to be able to place a to go order. When you try calling to place an order over the phone they tell you no because they're too busy to take an order. Recently, my family and I went to this restaurant. We ordered the Tuna Melt and french fries, Pull Pork sandwich and french fries, a bowl of potato soup, and the Chicken Caesar salad. The Chicken Caesar salad comes with a dressing that is lacking flavor. We recommend the tuna melt, pull pork sandwich, potato soup and the desserts. The portions of the fries were small. For me, I always rate these comfort food diners based on how well their Country Fried Steak is made. Sadly this business missed on that. The has browns and eggs were on point. The gravy was ok, and the country fried steak was extremely salted as if it was marinated in ocean water and the leftover was used to make the batter. I mentioned it to the server as I only ate about 1/4 of it and I had to tap out. My wife got a a Chili burrito, and it was ok, but left for a want as the chili was barely covering the outer portion, but the inside was just an eggs and potatoes. Disappointing experience based on the food 1/5 and the price we paid for it, although the service was 5/5 stars. Will not be back. read more

On June 20,2026, my Husband and I had breakfast at Hometown Country Restaurant on Boulder Hwy. in Henderson. and my husband noticed a long black hair in the corn beef and hash. Needless to say it turn our stomachs. We told the waitress who has long black hair and she questioned it and said they wear nets. She was not wearing one. She didn't believe us and said that we had an attitude and never to come back again. We did NOT have any kind of attitude. I was taken back by her saying never to come back again instead of apologizing. I asked to see the owner and she said she was the owner. They do have lunch and dinner items but I've only ever eaten breakfast there. Large portions for reasonable prices. The pancakes are huge. We could not finish the pancake combo. Another in our party said the salmon Benedict was delicious, as was the Rueben with fries. We go back every once in awhile because you know exactly what you are getting. Very consistent. The coffee really wasn't very good, not a way to start my morning, and by the time I was making the short drive home my stomach was gurgling with some intensity. The rest of the food, eggs, a pancake, and potatoes were good, but not especially noteworthy. The decorations inside definetly make you feel like you're in someone's home. I give 4 stars though because service wise, while everyone was friendly, there seemed to be a small level of disorganization. They don't put people's names down on a list when you're waiting to be seated, then a different team member than the one you originally speak with comes when a table is ready and was very confused each time trying to figure out who was next and had to resort to just asking the whole lobby "who was here first".
