Strong coffee, excellent and friendly service, giant plates served up of breakfast enchiladas and carnitas benedict with chipotle hollandaise atop the most gorgeous, golden jalapeño cornbread. I have to place emphasis on how amazing the cornbread was! I don't even want to know how much butter or oil is in it, but the moist, fluffy texture was incredible and the chunks of corn and jalapeño gave an added punch. The breakfast enchiladas come with delicious fried potato chunks and damn, they are tasty! Fried up with peppers and onions, they had a crispy outside and real flavor that made me steal my friend's food to have some. The price is great and serving portions could feed 1.5-2 people. Again, friendly staff and a great pitstop on the way to Hoover Dam. Next time, I want to try the pumpkin pancakes. read more

My fried chicken sandwich was good-Hot and fresh and very satisfying. My boyfriend's burger was good. Nothing over the top, but hot, fresh and satisfying. Just be aware that if you order fries, you get the smallest amount for the price you pay. Fries are cheap to make- we paid for them and maybe got 15 well done fries. I ordered some of their slow roasted meat and some crispy potato's à la cart because i'm not a fan of eggs and didn't want the meal and it was so freaking good!!! Great amount of food as well. I've been here 3 times , the 3rd time was a mistake. We were treated with disrespect by management. I've never been disrespected in Boulder City at any of the restaurants. I am a local. We didn't even know this place existed. Now the other 2 times we had a pleasant experience when the owner was there. The older woman who said she was management was rude and disrespectful. I brought my friends to enjoy this food. The French Toast was made we guess on accident with vegetables. French Toast is not made with onions, bell peppers, red peppers. Have had ice cream at Chilly Jilly'z multiple times and decided to try the patio. The food was absolutely outstanding, perfect. Salad was fresh, filet mignon was moist and very flavorful, and the twice baked potato was simply unbelievable (and rare since you never find those anywhere). I was in Boulder City for the railroad museum, and I'd gotten up really early and hadn't had breakfast yet, so I was STARVING by around 11:15 a.m. when I arrived. There was a huge group of 12 that was waiting to be seated, and the hostess was inside trying to arrange things, so I stood at the hostess stand for quite some time without being acknowledged -- which didn't set a great tone for the beginning of my experience. But once that overwhelming bit was over, the hostess walked me to my table and even switched seats for me so I would be more comfortable (some of the seats are a little higher, more like barstools, and since I'm short, she got me one with a footrest). That was above and beyond, and I really appreciated it. The food and drink came out very quickly and I was really impressed. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla with sausage -- and it was HUGE! It also was prepared with one of my top 3 flour tortillas I've ever had in my lifetime. The salsa was tomato-y and not spicy at all, but honestly I didn't need salsa and there's hot sauce on the table anyway. (Next time I might ask for some guac on the side though.) I also really enjoyed the guitarist who was playing (this was during Sunday brunch), although I didn't catch his name. The ambience of this place is beautiful. They have a very warm and friendly staff, however, the food is not good at all...mediocre at best. We ordered the fettuccine Alfredo (my daughter's favorite thing g to eat when we go out for dinner) with chicken $26 and the Chilean sea bass $36 entrees. My friend ordered a crab cake appetizer $18 a side of enchiladas $10 and an order of butter Parmesan penne pasta $18for her son. The soup and salad were served first. The lettuce in my Caesar salad was frozen, and my daughters lemon chicken soup tasted like condensed canned soup. It had a an extra sour (lemony) taste that was not pleasant at all. Next the crab cakes arrived. They were hot and crispy with lots of crab inside & was served with a zesty aioli sauce. These were Not bad. My entrees arrived next- My daughter complained that her fettuccine was overcooked & tasted funny. She didn't finish it. I was served Chilean sea bass that was spoiled/rotten. I almost threw up upon taking the first bite. It tasted horrible. It honestly ruined my appetite. I sent it back to the kitchen and let them know it was bad. Our waitress asked if she could get me anything else but at this point I was disgusted and didn't want to eat anymore. She said she would give us a complimentary dessert for the trouble. My friend's enchiladas were not good, and her son said the pasta she ordered for him tasted funny and wouldn't eat it. We decided on lava cake for our complimentary dessert. It was also very disappointing---chalky and bitter. The dining entertainment was not good either. there is a guy that plays pre-made tracks and pretends he is playing the guitar. Being a professional musician myself-It was very confusing to watch. When we got our check I was disappointed to see that our waitress didn't remove the rotten sea bass from our bill. I feel like they should have comped us after ruining my dinner/appetite. They should have made more of an effort to make sure we left feeling positive. I still politely paid my bill and even tipped my waitress 20%. I left grossed out and disappointed. I will not be returning to the patio at chilly jillys nor will I recommend my friends or colleagues to dine there. read more

A Sunday drive to Boulder City and brunch on the Patio at Chilly Jilly'z is a great way to start the day. We arrived 20 minutes before our reservation time and had to wait a few minutes as their were a few people ahead of us. We were seated on the upper level of the patio. The table did not have a fire pit but was close to the guitar musician playing some great music from various movies and old standards. We ordered the Chicken and Waffle and Divorced Eggs. The Belgium waffle is served with butter & syrup and was light and delicious. The chicken breast was large and juicy. Even had some left for take home. The Divorced Eggs are 2 tortillas layered with refried beans, 2 eggs of your choice, mine were over easy & homemade red ranchero sauce on one side & pork chili verde on the other side. In the center were crispy Hash Brown potato's. The pork was fork tender and the sauce was tasty. A large and satisfying meal. Look forward to returning for dinner. read more
