Having successfully used their services before, the choice was quite obvious. Pulling into their facility was like pulling into the "Pit Crew" at an Indy 500 race as they immediately went to work. Mind you, I wasn't the only one there, far from it. It's just the way they efficiently multi-task amongst their customers. I have to add, although my replacement glass was a bit specialized, but through their network, they quickly ordered and picked up the perfect replacement (fastest damn turnaround I've ever seen). I had a small chip in the windscreen and took it to get repaired as it was turning into a crack in the windscreen. I dropped the car at 4:30pm on Tues Jul 28th, when I went to pick it up at 12 noon the next day my car war severely smashed up! in addition it has over 50 miles driven on the milage count. The work was completed, the windshield is in and so far no "obvious" issues with the windshield itself. However, my experience was pretty bad. In the begining everything looked good. I was quoted $332.10 online (excluding tax). Then when I went to approve the quote and schedule the work they showed tax and it came to a total of $367.80. I thought, ok cool, I'll round it up to $380 and leave it at that. I set up the appointment and chose the Cash option, because it clearly says you can pay your tech once the work is completed. I thought, "perfect". I went to the bank to withdraw the $380. Walter called the morning of to see if he could go earlier. Unfortunately I was still at work and we kept the afternoon appointment. Then, everything went wrong as soon as he arrived. Walter was pretty nice and friendly, however, he told me the price was going to be $401 and some change and that I had to pay upfront because that's how they usually do it. I told him it wasn't was I was quoted and that I specifically chose the Cash option because it says I don't have to pay until the work is completed. He responded that that's a special program, but that normally all customers are charged upon tech arrival. Thats when the big runaround and waiting started. He called some guy but couldn't hear him, even though he and I had just spoken on the phone minutes before. Then he called the office and spoke to a lady on the other end. He was also having a hard time hearing her so he put her on speaker. She then said that the price I was quoted did not include tax. I showed Walter the email I received showing the tax breakdown. Then she changed her story to say that the particular glass that was provided cost more and they had to up the price. To which I responded that the customer should be notified prior to the appointment of a price change for approval. Walter asked if I received any communication regarding the price change, which of course I did not. She said she would speak with a manager. Then Walter asked her about payment. She said a similar thing as Walter, that you can either select the CC option or Payments option but that you would have to pay a deposit before making installments. I showed Walter where it clearly says on the site "Please provide the exact amount in cash to your technician(s) once your installation is complete". So then the waiting began. We sat in the back bumper of his van on hold for 30+ minutes until finally she came back on. She gave me a "discounted" rate and lowered the price to $379.17. At this point I just wanted to have my windshield replaced so I agreed because $380 was what I was going to give the guy anyway. So then Walter asks again about payment. She reluctantly said, "Yeah, that's ok Walter. Collect payment once the job is completed". An hour and a half later my windshield was replaced. Walter showed me a couple of sections where paint was chipped from a previous windshield replacement. While I've never replaced the windshield myself, when I bought my car in 2016 one of the moldings was coming lose so I caulked it back into place. So I didn't haggle him because of it as I'm sure it was replaced prior to me owning the car. Plus it's pretty unoticable because it's right next to the new molding. In the end, I was left with a sour feeling about the wait time, about the run around, the price change, the false explanations, about the whole experience overall. I know the ordeal wasn't Walter's fault in particular, and he actually was really nice. However my experience with the company was unsatisfactory. Of course this was just my experience. I had read one review on Yelp where the client was quoted one price, then charged another. Unfortunately for them, they had chosen the CC option and were charged upon arrival. I was hoping this wouldnt be my case, but alas it was. Luckily for me, I chose the Cash option and didn't pay until the work was completed.
