    Estes Park's best ice cream!
    Donnell C.

Wow, yum! This was our second try at bing cherry ice cream, and wish we'd skipped the first down the street in Estes! Hayley's beat it by a mile! The staff was friendly, scoop huge, and the big chunks of bing cherry were legit. Others were raving about her chocolate chip. Ice cream is homemade with a variety of homemade cookies and flavored popcorn selections as well. Worth the trip!

Loved this place! The service was great with unlimited samples. They had unique flavors, like sea salt caramel or strawberry cheesecake, and awesome cones! They also have other desserts if you aren't an ice cream girl or guy

Ice cream was pretty good, even though the prices are slightly steep at over $5/scoop. I got the chocolate chip cookie dough and it was pretty good. The single scoop was generous and it lasted till we got to our car. The chunks were much appreciated. I'd come back!

Two words and five syllables: BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE! I was blown away with their homemade selection but the Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream was simply out of this world. The chunks of graham crackers and sweet blueberries were generously mixed into their homemade creamy ice cream recipe. The associate told us that the ice creams are made in-house daily and nothing gets shipped in other than the ingredients. These guys also offer other treats like cookies, sundaes, milkshakes, and candied apples. Stop in with your friends and family that were blessed with having a sweet tooth and support a local small business!

10/10 recommend this place. Chocolate Overload was the most delicious chocolate ice cream I have ever had. Seriously. It was so creamy and smooth, you could totally tell it was homemade. I went yesterday with my fiancé and another couple-- the four of us ALL got Chocolate Overload. My fiancé and I each got 1 scoop but with two flavors: Chocolate Overload & Killa Chip Dough Nilla. The combo of the chocolate with the vanilla chips cookie dough and caramel swirl................. I mean I couldn't stop raving about it for hours even after I finished my cone. A must visit spot if you are stopping into town after a RMNP hike!!!!! ***Reminder it is COVID times so you must wear a mask to enter. Stay safe y'all!!!!

I came in for some ice cream. They have unique flavors and I chose the cookie dough carmel in a waffle cone. It was tasty but not worth $8.42 for once scoop.

The staff was super upbeat and welcoming. There were so many delicious flavors but I believe mine is blueberry or strawberry cheesecake. I waited too freaking long to write this. But oh my it was good. It's always so hard to pick and ice cream place in Estes but we just found our go to.

Chocolate overload shake. Amazing. Just enough milk to make it easy to use a straw, but wasn't too much to where it became a liquid drink. The $10 price was a bit high, but considering the area, worth it.

Best ice cream in town for sure. I got the coffee and tiger-butter. I wouldn't go anywhere else after trying this.

That being said, the elderly gentleman who took our order wasn't nearly as sweet as the product he was selling. In fact, he seemed put out to see a patron enter into his establishment at all. Regardless of the stale service received, this is a unique spot for families, with plenty of space for kids to run around, amidst a fun colorfully lit backdrop that gives off an arcade feel from an era gone by. The framed canine on the wall, much beloved by its owner, is a cute touch too. The sweet snacks once sampled back in the car weren't terribly fresh, but we plan to visit again and try more items on the expansive menu.

Unfortunately, he didn't seem very interested in helping or ensuring we received what we asked for. We purchased three pieces of chocolate for $23, which already felt expensive, and when we returned to our hotel we realized they had given us the wrong chocolates--no tiger butter at all. We tried calling the shop to address the mistake, but it went straight to voicemail. Between the lack of customer service, the error with our order, and the high price point, the experience was very disappointing. For the cost, the quality did not meet expectations. Sadly, this place feels past its prime, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Love this place and will be thinking about it on our next trip through town. Wow! What a vibe!…read more Things were picking up by the time we got there for lunch. We were greeted by a really nice blonde girl that showed us our seats. She was down to earth and was just beaming with great vibes. Then we got Matt. As if the experience wasn't already great from hanging out with friends, Matt invited us with an amount of aloha that is only found in Hawaii! We ordered chips and onion dip. The ramekin that the onion dip came with was really small compared to the amount of chips we received. It was delicious! Maybe substitute toasted bread next time? I ordered the poke and that was outstanding! It came with a creamy ginger dip that tied things together. For being landlocked and in the mountains, this is a dish I will remember! Matt also brought out a Hong Kong sriacha that definitely elevated everything. The reggae (music), positive vibes, and down to earth feel was a great way to end our trip before getting back to the grind. What a place! The scenery speaks for itself too and the staff is top notch!

The parking situation is awful - you'll def be fighting for a spot. But there aren't too many places that offer up the kind of views for dinner that this place does. Service was attentive despite how busy they were. Food was good and came out fast. I'm a sucker for pickle chips and they were great. Paired well with the local beers on tap that were our reward for hiking!

All symptoms point to food poisoning. We will not be back. This was our first visit to You Need Pie. What we liked: Our waiter was really hospitable, friendly, and did his best to provide service in a timely way despite being the only server available for all the customers. The coffee was decent, though in a small mug, and so was the hot chocolate we orders for the kids (which came with whipped cream, much to their delight!). The decor on the walls felt kind of scanty but what is there was cute. There is a pretty wide pie selection. Food serving sizes were okay. The single person bathroom was clean. What we didn't like: *The $2 veg add-ins of onion and jalapeños to the $12 omelette were raw. *The corned beef hash was extremely basic and barely seasoned, the potatoes were well cooked but bland and pale. It was edible but not worth $15. *Our party ordered a $9 bread bowl soup and waffle fries as well; it was eaten but the cheese ingredient was really overpowering in flavor - the small size was a good thing, in this case, because otherwise it couldn't have been finished. *The batter on the chicken tenders in the kid's meal were almost burnt on the edges, but still pale everywhere else. Something off with the oil temperature I guess. They didn't get eaten. *The color of everything was pretty much all beige and served on white plates, which impacted the impression of the meal - zero visual appeal. One of my favorite parts of eating at mom-and-pop diners is the way the meals feel homey, warming you from the inside out. This did not create that kind of impression. Lastly, the pie (which was the main draw for us and why we picked this dining option). We ordered one slice of rhubarb at $6.25. The pie was very disappointing - something in it was either stale or had gone bad. It tasted really unpleasant and we ended up throwing it away. Our total for everything was about $80 with tip and it was sadly not money well spent. We love stand alone dining options but probably will not be returning.
