** READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ** This company is very clearly buying reviews on Yelp and Google... These guys are snakes like others have pointed out. They are selling products that are not legal to be sold and they are misleading consumers into purchasing "custom built" computers. The computers are all under 1 volume Windows license and ripe with used motherboards and lazy cable management. The moment you walk out of the store they can shut down your windows license so they can apply it to another machine and scam another person. Luckily, my license lasted for a few months before they did this to me. When I contacted Windows they advised me what this shop is doing. Avoid them, its not worth the headache. Also, just in case you were curious how they responded when I reached out to them regarding what had happened with my license below is the response I got FROM THEM. I will also be putting proof that it came from their email. NOTICE THAT MANY OF THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE BRAND NEW ACCOUNTS EDIT: I received a message (see below) very shortly after posting this review threatening me to remove the post or they are going to show up at my house and smash my car windows... at least now I know exactly who to point to if anything happens to my vehicles... maybe change the city you're in next time before sending threatening messages.. for computer guys they really do not know how the internet works do they? read more

I bought three laptops for my family and me from here at very reasonable prices. The worker is nice and respectful and always do their jobs to the best of their abilities. I accidently dropped one of my laptops, and the screen was completely black and would not turn on. I had no hope it would be fixed but I tried anyways and went to computer world. In two days, I had my laptop back looking good as new. I highly advise anyone having computer troubles to come because they never disappoint. read more

Then he got scared and came out side and left, while laughing, I took pics of him walking to his car and his license plate......SO I DID REPORT HIM TO THE POLICE & THEY NOW HAVE HIM REPORTED & ARE WILLING TO COME WITH ME TO HIS BUSINESS & ASSIST ME TO RESOLVE THIS. It's called keep the peace and he will get sued and his business will go down, we don't care about his car, this is a business guy who wants money and is money hungry and does not care about the people and I'll go to APPLE and buy a brand new laptop! My original review is too long but I will post it in parts. Omar STOLE $180 and refused to give me a receipt because he "didn't like my attitude." In reality, it's because I questioned the "company iPad being stolen at 8pm" (closing time for this place) WHILE another employee, Mohammed, was at the store. A whole computer store and only the one iPad that can do card transactions is stolen... He requested money via Zelle or Venmo. Hella shady. Can't wait to add more detail to this. Glad I called the cops on you, grifter Omar. And I'm sure that dude you called to keep your temper down was Anthony the store owner...but you couldn't find the manager. Nice try. I got the help I needed quickly and relatively reasonably! So glad to have found someone in HB!

They built me a desktop to my specs. The gaming machines had too high end a graphics card and liquid cooling that I didn't want to pay for. I got advice on the new solid state drive and upgraded memory that would add performance. I've built many machines myself but they got me a better price than I could get. They built a kick a** machine that is far better than I expected. I had been using a yoga laptop that kep on running out of resources and had poor images that I shared on the screen. Have a smoothLy running machine and images my students can read was important. This has let me run multiple processes without any resource issues. My wife and I needed an affordable Mac for home and office use, and we found an ad posted on another platform advertising an iMac for a great price. When we got it home, I realized a good amount of work I've done was incompatible on that computer because it couldn't be updated to a recent enough iOS. In other words, I hadn't done my homework. The next morning, I called, and the salesman told me that they had one in stock in their other store. They tried to tell me I overclocked my computer from showing me this screen. Best Buy geek squad said the only thing you can learn from this screen is the actual specs of the computer. Be careful with this place. If you're looking to get a new computer iPad or anything using their lease option be careful they're gonna try to tell you that you can do it over the phone and get you to sign all the paperwork so they get paid and the time to pick up they won't even open the door. I did all the phone. They told me that they had my hyper ready and I could pick it up in the afternoon by the time I was there I was calling the same phone number that they were desperately they were calling me back and texting to see if I was going to get the iPad, as soon as I paid and sign all the paperwork, they weren't answering me back to let me know what time I could pick it up. So I decided to go down there. The door was closed. It's a very small business. They had a ring doorbell at the door which I press and I let them know that I was there to pick up the. Oh yeah about that. we don't have your iPad on stock. Somebody should call you nobody call me or answer my text messages so they told me OK well your agreement is gonna be canceled you're gonna be refunded. They never open the door to talk to me in person. I tried to text back the person and told them that I was going to leave a review because they were not answering me back he finally answered back to be rude and disrespectful with the extensive usage of bad words over a text message telling me that he didn't give a #%%}^ If I leave a review now that they had a very big business, and one review wouldn't matter. so just be careful if you're planning to buy something here do it in person and make sure that you get the item on hand but I recommend you another place, which is cheaper actually cause they were going to overcharge me almost $200 supposedly because I was using the lease option which is not true because I did the same lease option at a different business and it was actually cheaper and the same price as Best Buy or any other store Be aware they overpriced the opened if you use payment options and highly recommend you look into Mac star computers in Buena Park instead, that will save you a headache and prices are the same as the big stores. read more

Ive been contacting them and they don't reply. They sold me a computer that has some issues and they don't reply back. They "gave" me a wireless keyboard that doesn't have the usb. I went to get a new keyboard they actually answered and the person said he/she was in lunch. They said 1 hour so I waited 30 min because the person needed 30 because they went to lunch at 4:00 and I was there at 4:30. So i waited never showed. Omar at Computer World HB is friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to the computers he sells. I first went to this store to repair my daughter's laptop and unfortunately it was beyond repair. Omar did offer a few options that are comparable in specs, and he does not try to up sell you on a computer that is not needed. Their prices are below other stores and even Amazon in my case which is a win in my book. He offers warranties on the products he sells, which is another win. AWFUL service. I paid $400 to get my MacBook screen replaced and a couple months later, after barely using my computer and being extra careful with it (because I didn't want it to break and have to pay another $400), one of the connectors stopped working past a 45 degree angle so I can barely open my screen. I took it in and they said that it is a wear and tear issue, which means that they messed something up during the new screen installation because wear and tear issues don't happen that fast, and I know for a fact I didn't do anything to damage it. Then they told me that their technician didn't work with them anymore. They took down my info and said they would call me when they got a new technician. I called a multitude of times when they were open and they didn't answer a single call (probably because they had my number and didn't want to fix their mistake for free). I went in 4 more times over the period of 2 months and had to have my mom and girlfriend call to see if they had a new technician because I couldn't get ahold of them. They told both of them that they had a new technician who was available and to come in with their "broken computer screens," the same issue I was having. I went back in after they told my mom their technician was not busy and would be available at 2. I asked for their technician and he conveniently wasn't in. I then spoke to the same guy I spoke to the last 5 times and he said that the technician "doesn't do Apple products," which is ridiculous. He then tried to blame the situation on me and said that they could not help me, even though the whole thing is their fault. TAKE YOUR SERVICE ELSEWARE AND STAY AWAY!!! read more

A bargain hunter's dream. Found them on Craigslist and possibly OfferUp which led me to their brick and mortar spot. They post ads for used laptops and computers, but their stock likely changes frequently, so I wouldn't count on finding the exact model you find in an ad. I went in for a touch screen AIO computer i saw in an ad, but it was gone. Luckily they had another one and just my luck it was $100 less than the one i saw in the ad. Since i wasn't picky since I'm just using it as an experiment as a kitchen touch screen in my restaurant, this was great news. I had a few questions and the guys were happy to help. They even went out of their way to unscrew the back piece to see if it was mountable to a VESA mount. They were super friendly and helpful to me and the two other customers they were helping when I walked in. Out of curiosity, I poked around their used macbooks. I just needed a replacement macbook to recover some old iphoto libraries and the cheapest reliable model I could find would've done the trick. They pointed me over to a stack of 2010-11 macbook pro 15s. $300. Score! this was the cheapest, no-hassle option I've seen. Everything on craigslist was $500-600 for some sketchy dude's old, crusty laptop. This one was a little ding'd up, but she still had plenty of usable life in her. I took it home and it was a dud. It shut off on me intermittently for no reason. I would've been worried that I got shafted but my purchasing experience earlier that day was so great, I just had a feeling they'd exchange it for a working one, no problem. Walked in the next day. Great! None of the guys working last night are there. This is going to suck. Nope! The guy holding down the fort called the guy who helped me the day before. I got put on the phone with him and explained my problem. He was out getting lunch but would be back in 5. I understand. I'm a small business owner myself. Sure enough, he came back in, was super apologetic, very friendly. After seeing that my problem wasn't user error, he grabbed the next one off the stack and exchanged it for me on the spot. I also liked their service so much, I took a water damaged macbook air for them to have a look at. He seemed pretty straight up with me as far as likely costs, but had high hopes that its only a trackpad replacement. Hopefully, I'll post an updated review on how that goes. All in all, I probably saved somewhere in the ball park of $600 because i didn't buy a used ipad/AIO touch screen and a used macbook from somewhere else on craigslist. I ended up with two pretty decent computers for the price of a single brand new chrome book. Highly recommend. read more
