The best and most reliable and affordable service for Porsches. Dod wonders on my 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo. Dives like new. Call Ernesto the owner and he'll do you Justice.

    Porsche 911

I have been here a few times since I moved to Los Angeles with my older 911 Ernesto was very thorough and attentive to the needs of the car and far more reasonable in pricing than shops in the area. Over time he has taken my car from a decent car to an excellent example of what the quality of the brand is known for. If you have a porsche in this area and you're in need of any kind of maintenance or repair, this is your guy.

Satisfied! My experience with HD is 100% pleased. Ernesto is a knowledgable and skillfull mechanic willing to go to anything length to solve and fix your vehicle needs. He loves what he does and for sure he will treat your car and you with the highest respect. I will not take my Porsche any where else.

My Carrera GTS was in need of the major service at 30,000 miles. I have always serviced at that Rusnak Pasadena But since the warranty on the vehicle was over I didn't want to pay close to $3000 for that service at the dealership. So I started my search on Yelp Or certified Porsche service shop and I hadn't heard about the coupleShops near Pasadena that my friends had taken the car still but after comparing the prices HD Motorwerks Price was the lowest and of course the numerous positive reviews also helped my decision Visit Ernsesto at Hd Motorwerks . Service was quick, the vehicle what was inspected overall, and it was washed at the end as well. Will definitely be back in the future And will definitely recommend it to friends. Thanks very much for your service Ernesto!

This place is GEM! Had mostly bad experience with rusnak porsche since 2015 when we had our first porsche, the dealership is too small and too busy, and so they always run out of loaners and repair schedules were always delayed. Whenever we raised an issue their first response is always that the customers are paranoid and didnt know how porsches work..and cars always come back filthy and uncared for. Over the years we started adding boxster, 911s, gt3 etc. so we started to try a few indy shops around town. Places like House Automotive provided great service but the price is the same as the dealer, which is probably as high as you can get. Others are so busy everything's by appointment, no followups and they expect you to just drop off your car sitting in the sun and gathering dust (which i hate, being OCD). Often times you cant even reach the mechanic himself, but all conversations are handled by a receptionist who cant answer any questions. And I am sure we all ran into mechanics who dont really care about your business and they sound like you owe them money.... That led me to HD Motorwerks, saw them on yelp and called. Went over the issues I had on the phone and they had availability to look at it in the next 2 hours. They gave an initial estimate which was lower than others, and with the faster response, decided to give them a try. Arrived at the shop a few hours later. The shop was pretty clean which was a very nice sight. They had quite a number of cars blocking the bays, and yet they remember that I called earlier and without hesitation started moving cars out of the way and got my car on the lift to start the diagnosis. Long story short, we thought it's something simple but we spent about 3 hours diagnosing the issue together until closing time and eventually decided we had a faulty part and has to come back another day. What impressed me is Ernesto's attitude and positive energy, he's always smiley-faced and despite the difficulties we had in the diagnosis he kept trying different ways to approach the issue and giving off a very positive vibe. His assistant has an extremely nice personality as well, always offering water etc. and is very careful around the cars. I dont see that at all in other mechanics, at least they certainly dont spend 3 hours doing that with me right next to him. With half a dozen sports cars of all different brands, I have seen quite a spectrum of them. In the end, the diagnosis he charged me is more than fair and at least we got to the root of the problem. At that point I know I have found my porsche guy (for the 911s and GT cars), someone who's honest, trustworthy, knows what he's talking about and yet doesnt have an attitude about it like a Mr Know-it-all, is respectful, positive and pay attention to details. I returned a week later with a warranty and had him take care of all the other issues I had with the car. I told him about my OCD and what to look out for, he took notes and actually paid attention to my request. The repair took about 2 weeks, with the warranty inspection and waiting for parts etc.,all the meanwhile Ernesto kept me updated about the progress. Before I pick up my car, Ernesto offered to wash it, I asked if they do it in house and they said yes (many places send cars to other places for quick car wash and sometimes end up with scratches or blemishes that's hard to trace due to different locations and personnel handling the car, with inconsistent quality). I let them do it and when I picked up the car, it was spotless! the interior was clean and dust free and had no odor. No hand prints on the steering wheel or leathers. Dealerships and other mechanics have lots to learn from this place. I highly recommend HD motorwerks as my go-to porsche guy, and more importantly, I hope they keep this up. With their customer service and performance I am sure they will get way busy soon.

Shortly afterward, I took my vehicle to my longtime mechanic for a routine inspection. During that inspection, my mechanic examined the tires and told me they appeared to be cracking and were unsafe to continue driving on. He recommended that I replace all of them immediately. What made this especially concerning is that he does not sell tires himself, so he had no financial incentive to tell me to buy replacements. As a result, I had to spend even more money purchasing a completely new set of tires from another business almost immediately after buying the used tires from Fernando's Tires. I feel that the tires sold to me should never have been represented as suitable for use if they were in that condition. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering buying used tires here to have them inspected by an independent mechanic as soon as possible. I would not do business with this shop again.

Thank you. (3 stars previously). I came here specifically looking for a USED tire because I'm currently driving on a donut and trying to stay within a budget. I called beforehand asking about getting a tire changed and at no point was I told they only had NEW tires in stock, that there would be a card fee, or how busy things were. I understand I could have specifically asked more detailed questions over the phone, but as a customer I didn't think I needed to clarify whether a used tire shop actually had used tires available. I also didn't know there was an additional fee for paying by card until arriving. What frustrated me most was standing there waiting around for about 30 minutes before finally being told there were no used tires available at all. Even a simple heads up to customers waiting such as "just so everyone knows, we currently only have new tires in stock" would have saved people time, gas, and frustration. The employee wasn't necessarily rude, but the overall experience felt very disorganized and communication was lacking. As a business owner myself, I know communication is what keeps transactions smooth on both sides. Customers may forget to ask certain questions, but businesses should also proactively communicate important information that affects pricing, inventory, and expectations. I ended up leaving frustrated because I drove out specifically for an affordable used tire option and that ultimately was not available.

I registered for service and had to wait 15 minutes to get someone to look at the car. The nice gentleman that came to us is named Antonio. Looked at all the tires and assessed the leaking tire. It was a screw in between the 2nd and 3rd tread so it really was only a patch job. But because our tires looked old, there was a concern that it may not be "repairable" and might necessitate a replacement so I was told to choose a tire in case it came to that. I told him I'm sure it's just a patch job but I chose one cause I didn't have a choice. Because of liability, if the tire was deemed unsafe they will not put it back on and the replacement becomes a must. I also asked to have air put in our spare because the TPMS was lit on the dash prior to the leaking tire. He told us it would about 2 hours before they could get to work on our car but it wouldn't take long once they got to it. My son was getting Hangry so I had to find somewhere he could get something to eat. After a while I got worried cause I haven't received a call and it was approaching 2 hours already so we headed back. When I got to the car I was surprised to see that a new tire was installed on the car without consulting with me. I went back in line at the counter and Antonio explained that something happened during the removal of the tire and it got damaged. Because it was their fault, they replaced the tire at no cost to me. I thought I still had some service charges for looking at our spare but he said they took care of that as well at no cost to me. Talk about taking accountability on behalf of the customer. Antonio was very cordial and professional about the whole thing. I really appreciate the service quality I received that when the time comes to replace 4 tires, we will get it from Antonio. Thank you so much!

They were pretty booked up, so if you need tires right away, Costco might not be the best option. I wasn't in a huge hurry, so it was OK. I love Costco overall, and their tires include a road hazard warranty that is hard to beat. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment, and by the time I was served, it was exactly the time for my appointment. Designated tire center parking is on the east side of the building. Be sure you know the mileage on your car when you arrive because they need it. I had to go all the way back to my car and get it. They could have easily told me in advance and saved us all the time. The guy who works up front was working as fast as he could. It's non-stop, and he does a great job. I certainly couldn't keep up with that pace all day. My hat's off to him. I wish he had more help. So much paperwork is generated just to get tires or a battery. Why so complicated for everyone involved? He told me it would take about an hour to have my tires installed. It took an hour and fifteen minutes. Not bad. They notified me via cell. You can do your Costco shopping while you wait. I'm sure Costco has that in mind when you visit the tire center. I was bummed that my tires were marked up and not clean-looking after they were installed. It would have been so easy to wipe off whatever was on the tires when they installed them. Bad look. Unprofessional. Getting tires is a hassle no matter where you go. Costco wins with the road hazard included. I am concerned that if I ever do have a problem with my tires, it might take several days or even a week to get it repaired or replaced because they are so busy and might not even have my tire in stock. Here's hoping I don't have to find out. ***A little update. They ask you to come back and have the lug nuts on your wheels torqued after 25 miles. I went back to shop and didn't have an appointment. They just had me pull up, and they checked the torque with no appointment necessary. They were super nice about it, too! Oh yeah, free of charge! ALWAYS KNOW YOUR ODOMETER READING WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR CAR THERE. It's the first thing they ask after you show them your membership number. Have it handy and save time!

I was told yes and that they could take me got here at 3 PM. During my visit, I originally came to purchase two tires, but staff persuaded me to purchase four tires, totaling nearly $900 -- so I expected at minimum timely and organized service. It is now almost 7 PM, and my vehicle has still not even been brought in or touched. I have been waiting well over an hour past my appointment time with no meaningful update or clear timeline provided. To make matters worse, I am here with four children, two with disabilities, and sitting in a tire center for hours without service starting is incredibly stressful and inconvenient for my family. If the shop was overbooked or unable to accommodate walk-ins and appointments in a reasonable timeframe, that should have been communicated honestly at 3 PM when I called, rather than telling me to come in and leaving me waiting for hours. Appointments should mean something, and customers should not be encouraged to make large purchases only to be left waiting indefinitely with no communication. This experience shows a serious lack of time management, transparency, and consideration for customers. Very disappointing.

Mike answers the phone and I ask about AC service for my Civic Hybrid. I knew what I needed, so I had to describe exactly my situation. I needed routine AC servicing. It was estimated $200. We agreed on 4pm but Mike requested to try and come in earlier than that. I obliged, left the Miracle Mile and got over to the Silver Lake shop in 30 minutes. Dang! But not surprised, the bays and staging area in front were full of cars! I've seen it frequently when driving past on Hyperion. One single space at the end and I squeezed in and parked. I walked over to the shop office. First thing I see was a huge Eddy Grant poster. Cool! " We're gonna walk down to #ELECTRIC AVENUE..." Mike is on the phone and a minute later we are going through the new customer intake. He hands me the clipboard, "Fill out the first four lines," as I'm doing this, I refresh his memory. I'm here for the AC service. He kindly asked if I needed an Uber home. I said no, I'm walking to nearby eateries to hang out and eat. I chose Tomato Pie BTW, highly recommend. I get called an hour later, Mike said the car is ready. The AC system is fine and filled up with refrigerant. It need about half pound. Good news, it was below the quoted estimate. We start the small talk while we close out the tab. Mike and I are LA Kings fans! Awesome, I love this. Haha. BTW, 3% CC add on fee. I believe there was no fee using a debit bank card. I wish there was a thorough print out of the diagnosis, service, and the courtesy inspection. He told me verbally that my tires, brakes, suspension (shocks and struts not leaking). Hmm, okaayyy. Another shop had told me that there was leakage and needed replacement. So, I asked to confirm that they were okay. Mike said yes but if I wanted a smoother ride, I should consider the replacement work. Up next, I'll ask Mike about the worn items that I know and discuss a schedule. Thanks Electric Avenue! Edit: the AC is super cold as it should be after having it serviced by Mike & the fine folks att Electric Ave. Trust your intuition, if your AC doesn't feel as cold as it used to and it's been 2-3 years since last service, it's time to service it again. It'll be much more expensive if one of those main AC components fail.
