I had a very relaxing time at Head Spa EN!!! My therapist Kana was very accommodating and took time for the best result. First she used the micro camera to see my scalp. I was expecting buildups but she said my scalp look healthy but some spots are inflamed. During the treatment she mentioned that area that shower water bubbles is related to the part of your body where it needs attention. There's a picture of a head that explains which part of your body is related. It's not only just a "head treatment". I didn't feel any difference in my body (you'll have to go a few times to see the difference I think) But My hair was truly rejuvenated after the treatment. I didn't wash my hair that night, then the smoothness lasted til the next night! I was so surprised when I washed my hair next night. The shampoo foamed up so quickly and didn't need much of it. It was my first time at a head spa so I was very excited. The spa is located in the 2nd floor of the building and the entrance is in the back where the small parking lot is located. Imari was the one that assisted me and she was very polite and informative with my service. When I got there, I was directed to wear a robe and went into one of the room. Then Imari showed me my scalp close up and discussed my concerns. The wash and massage was very nice and relaxing. Then after the service, got to see my scalp up close again to see the change! The whole spa is nicely decorated and has a relaxing feel. Due to when I booked the appointment and how many people I wanted go with I was only able to do the 40 mins but wish I had been able to do the 60 min. See my before and after hair! I went in the other night for a model gig. I loved this location. Very aesthetically pleasing to my eye! Overall, it was a nice blowout, and it didn't take that long. I loved the silky smooth finish. Although, my hair needs a more hard press to stay flat for a while, because my hair tends to get sweaty fast, I enjoyed the hair do for that night. Head Spa EN has been on my wishlist for a while, and as I'm soon turning 40, I thought it'd be a nice treat to finally get a head spa experience. Originally, my masseuse was supposed to be Imari but at the last minute, there was a change to my reservation and Sayuri, the spa owner, provided the service. The parking lot is a bit small and most spots are for compact cars so be prepared if your car is not compact, that it might be a tight fit in the parking lot. Some spots are also reserved but there are two marked parking spots on the left side of the parking lot, set aside for Head Spa EN. I arrived ten minutes early and Sayuri was already waiting. She brought me in, gave me a silky kimono to wear and asked some preliminary questions. Then, she worked her magic! It was the most relaxing head massage ever, I was close to falling asleep! She washed my hair, steamed my hair to open up the scalp pores, and then proceeded to massage my scalp. I appreciate her strong massage, but not rough. She was gentle with my hair but firm with my scalp; my hair was not tangled at all. She also gave my neck and shoulders a massage, and sometimes she used hot stones. After the massage, she conditioned my hair and sprayed it with I think something to moisturize my hair. There was a station to dry my hair with a super nice Dyson hair dryer. I did not use the provided brush but my hair was so soft afterward, I didn't need to brush it out. This was such an amazing experience, very relaxing! I wish J could give 10 stars haha. I had a great experience here with Haruna at their Corona Del Mar location. Fairly easy to find coming from the 405 and Jamboree or MacArthur. Just know that they have a small parking lot on other side of the bldg not facing the street. I originally did the parallel street parking but decided to change to their parking lot since it's free parking for customers there. So with the reparking and the little bit of traffic delay getting there, it was about 20 mins before I actually started my appointment and they mention in their website about timelines and that they cannot go over if you arrive late so next time, I'll plan a little more time to get parked and allow for traffic delays. Haruna did her best to make sure my service was started quickly after I got reparked and I got to put on a silky robe and have a cozy blanket over my legs while she was doing my head spa service. I think I even took a mini nap, it was so relaxing. The thing I liked about this place is that I was the only client there during my time of service so less distractions from other people and I opted for adding the blow dry and styling after the head spa service so that was done in a little salon style chair with window view of the street and since it's on the second floor, it was a nice view on a sunny day so ambience here is 10/10! I would definitely come back for another service here. They also have their Pasadena and Beverly Hills locations so I have a trip coming up in LA in a few months so I may check out their other locations as well. This is not my first time at a head spa salon so I had something to compare it to. I liked that it wasn't crazy busy and packed here, it was one appointment at a time and the focus is on the client and the fact they offer blow dry and style out the door is nice because at the other head spa I tried, they did a quick blow dry but did not style it so that didn't make sense to me. I feel if you are going to spend on a service, you should feel "finished" and leave the place better or just as polished and kept as when you arrived through their doors, especially with my wavy low porosity hair can look like a frizz ball lion if I don't have it styled right! I'm used to having to drive almost an hour for a head spa experience, so I was excited to see one close to me in Newport Beach. The spa itself is located within salon suites. Risa greeted me warmly, gave me a Japanese robe to wear during the service, then promptly got to work showing me my scalp condition via a camera that zoomed in my my hair follicles. She's a hair dresser by trade so knows the ins and outs of how to get the healthiest hair possible. They scan your scalp, looking to see how your scalp looks before the massage and analyze it and then does the most euphoric scalp treatment that includes a lot of massage and shampooing/cleansing of your scalp and hair. I booked it immediately for the next day since it was possible! I had my treatment done by Imari. It was everything I got have hoped for and more. They show your scalp through a camera linked to a monitor. The massage on your shoulders before and after was unexpected and a perfect lil extra touch.
