Each person has their speciality or own type of goods. You can bargain. Bathrooms and porta potties available. One food truck and one baked good stand. I suggest eating first before coming. Behind the parking lot is a street full of more vendors. Feels super even more junky there. Police ask them to leave once in a while since they're not registered vendors.

Been visiting the Ferry Building for over 2 decades+, and I still look forward to every visit. A…read morelot of businesses have come and go over the years, but it's always fun to look around. There's a farmer's market every Saturday (and another weekday) with lots of goodies, something for everyone and it's great that most vendors are now taking credit cards. Restrooms are usually clean, and depending on the day of the week or time of day, there may be a line, but usually moves quickly. Another fun fact is that there's an upstairs for events, and a handful of offices. Views can't be beat and love that the ferry picks up/drops off right by an entrance. Many benches and tables available to sit and enjoy the food and views. Accessible by BART, MUNI, or by foot. Already thinking about my next visit to the Ferry Building. #22/2026

That said, it's hard to whip up enthusiasm for something which just felt so very meh. The weather was quite inhospitable but that's not what influenced my assessment of the offerings here, on a few blocks along Irving Street. No, it was the sorry, mostly wildly overpriced offerings. With the exception of some pleasant live music and some games for small children the Inner Sunset Flea appeared to be about 90+% used or vintage clothing. I was not alone in stepping away from some hanging racks after seeing prices that ranged from $100-$200, most which looked like they were selected from your local Goodwill store. If you recall the old Marin City flea market you know this: the Inner Sunset Flea could and should be so much better.

For the kids they had a variety of distractions that included huge soap bubble rings, and hula hoops. Notably the event had a rather large audience enjoying the live music. Overall I'd say hit up the Inner Sunset Flea if in the area for the weekly farmers market or if visiting a nearby shop.

What a cool market!…read more I stopped by Oakland Vintage Market last month to check out Pour Up Coffee's pop up. And y'all, I came for the coffee and stayed for all the gems! (The coffee was really good though, don't miss out on them either). The Market is located near Jack London Square, behind the building that houses Narrative Home Goods. There's plenty of parking around, you may just have to walk a block or so. It's also dog friendly event so feel free to bring your friendly dogs with you! The Market is outdoors with lots of vendors selling everything from clothes to books to kitchen items, etc. If you like finding unique, vintage items that you won't find anywhere else, this is the place for you! Come with something in mind that you're searching for or let the market tell you what you need. And plan to spend some time here! If you really wanted to, you could spend a couple of hours just exploring and enjoying checking out all the different items the vendors have on sale. We walked away with some coffee table books that used to belong to the Chabot College library. All the vendors were super nice and welcoming. Great energy and great vibes all around.

The flea market covers about 2 sides of the park (2 city blocks) and it's a collection of random garage sales plus some crafty Etsy like people. The crafty people sold handmade soaps, perfume, jewelry, crochet dolls (cute), and screenprinted items (t-shirts, tote bags, baby onesies). I recognized one of the vendors from Renegade Craft Fair. The garage sale people had old books, tons of old clothes, dishware, quilts/blankets, paintings, tools, furniture, jewelry, comic books, vinyl records, toys, etc. I spotted a few cute old things: a plaid suitcase and old Smith Corona typewriter. I was surprised by one person selling small old photos for $10 each. The food trucks were there, four of them, with sliders, Thai food (Phat Tri), frozen custard (Lexie's) and hot wings (Cluck It Up). Free admission.

You realize this is an annual food booth, supporting a nonprofit, IN A TENT, and there is no "in the back". The best part is I got to say "Wiener me" and "Would you like your buns warmed?". Only once a year I can to say this in public repeatedly without getting dirty looks. Nothing in the world can buy that type of satisfaction. Oh and if you like mayo, I suggest bringing packets of it with you everywhere, because annual flea market food booths will NEVER have mayo. Kthxbai.
