Turns out it had a "small" oil leak that he did not intend to fix , because it wasn't a big deal . Left a puddle of oil that had to be cleaned up after running maybe 10 minutes . I asked if it would take an inspection sticker like that . Tim said o yeah it wasn't a problem . Needless to say I did not buy the car because it really leaked too much to actually drive it around without fixing it . Tim said he would just sell it to someone else . My observation of low coolant plus the oil leak pointed in the direction of a bad head gasket . Tim was not even willing to discuss that ! So in the end I told him he was a shister . Some one is going to buy that car and get screwed .

I waited in the customer area and went to the front a couple of times. The service staff were joking and using profane language in an area that should have been all about customer service. After the update the NAV system no longer worked. A few weeks later I brought the car back in to get this fixed. They said that I needed to change my whole panel to get this fixed and that I was lucky to have an extended warranty. I declined this and today downloaded software and fixed my NAV system. I will never use this dealership again.

If you want to buy a car with a pre-approved loan going through with an electronic transfer (that is not with the dealership) from your place of choice that might take a bit to transfer dont try that here unless you want to hear "first come first serve" while you wait for the bank to transfer when you have it pre-approved and know it WILL go through. This was so stressful and really wasn't worth it as we aren't from super close by, the experience was so much time and effort for a car we really wanted and we just ended feel unfavored by the dealership with a long drive home and a loan to cancle.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a Hyundai parked out on the 'curb' that was the right price range (under 10K). When I inquired further, the mileage was great and the Carfax didn't suggest anything sinister. They let me take it for a test drive from Rochester to Lee to get my daughter so she could drive it back and see what she thought. It looked great, drove great and the Carfax looked good. After putting down a deposit, my wife, my daughter and I drove back the next day to complete the sale. Yes, they asked me about an extended warranty but I politely declined and they didn't push it. Charlie was so polite and the process was painless. I suppose that going into the process of buying a used car that there are going to be problems. My advice is this. Have you seen the prices of new vehicles these days? Are we genuinely ok with a 7 year auto loan now? I'm not. I'd rather buy used and pay for some repairs as it's STILL cheaper than the price of a new vehicle. And there's nothing worse than buying new and having problems that you keep having to bring it back to the dealer for. At least I'm not promised perfection with a used vehicle. Anyway, First City was a good experience for us and we'd go back there again.

It's an issue with Toyotas. I brought them in to have them fix it under a service bulletin. Toyota denied the claim as being too late - that's on Toyota not Rochester Toyota. However, the service manager never informed me of the decision despite me calling every week for a status update. In fact, he never once returned my call. I don't know if he knows how to operate a phone. The service techs all pass the buck. Very unprofessional.

The backup camera didn't work upon purchase and the owner promised to fix it which he didn't and instead paid us the cost of the part to take it somewhere else. We were also promised a 1 year drivetrain warranty which we did not receive. Fast forward 1 year and we have had all of the electronics stop working in the vehicle, replaced radiator hoses and oil lines, and are now looking at at $6,000 bill because the exhaust manifold is cracked.
