Got my girlfriend a Reiki thing. It was her first time and the lady who did it seemed really knowledgeable. It was an hour long and I stayed in the front room and waited for her. I started to doze off because I felt so relaxed in there with the lighting and stones or something. The building itself was kind of hard to find and I had to call for directions but she didn't answer so that saved me the trouble of saying nevermind we found it. Tip: the entrance is on the other side. This place is a little far from us but we would definitely come back. My girlfriend said she felt like it worked. But I'm not even sure what was supposed to be happening other than the lady was supposed to do things to her chakra or something. I'd give it a try. read more

My mother and I came in for massages. Hannah and Barb were very thorough to make sure they knew what our bodies individually needed. My mother has deep curvature scoliosis which causes a lot of pain and Hannah's calm demeanor and understanding of anatomy helped put my mom at ease and helped with her massage. Barb really worked on my problem area in my back/neck/shoulders that has caused a headache for weeks - finding the knots and really working on them which was a huge relief. Have not been feeling well. I got a nasty email from Barb stating all people must wear masks.. I have asthma and rather than saying that maybe wearing a mask may make me feel worse she said hateful things to me.. I was left feeling I made the right choice not to return.. There is no current governor ruling saying massage requires masks.. I think that the places saying they are protecting people have the right to do so. However, it is not like I don't know the risks. It is my right to go elsewhere. I am being charged 90 dollars an hour by this place and the place down the street is 20 dollars an hour cheaper. I think that I have had two vaccine shots and never got the virus. I am very careful and live with a diabetic.. Last thing I need is rude comments about me not handling things well. I used a groupon today to see Barb for a hot stone massage at Healing Spirit Touch and I could not have been more satisfied with my experience! I arrived early and Barb was still able to start my massage early for me. She was very attentive and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole massage. I even fell asleep at one point I was so relaxed! She took special care to pay attention to the areas where I needed the most help and was very knowledgeable and gave me some tension relieving stretches that I can do in between treatments. I have had two massages from Hannah, and they have both been great. One was a regular massage and one was a prenatal massage. Hannah is one of the best massage therapists I have experienced--she has heavy pressure without actually making it painful, and she is very receptive to personal preferences. She checks in to make sure things are going well, but she doesn't talk your ear off either (I have had that happen at another place and it is very distracting). I saw Hannah with a Groupon deal and I can honestly say I've never had a better massage. Not only that, Hannah took the time to listen to what I had done to get me in the fix I was in (gimped up from hiking and backpacking for miles, 12 mile walks, bike riding, Body Fit by Amy workouts, ballroom dancing plus recently diagnosed plantar faciitis and a bone spur) and worked on the specific areas, then told me what she had done and why, provided me with a sheet of exercises that would help, gave me even more info on the use of ice and heat. She worked my foot so that for the first time in months, it didn't hurt. Not only did I get a great massage, I got explanations and useful info on how to get more well-rounded by incorporating stretching into my routines. She asked questions that gave me pause when I heard myself answer, and gave me permission that if I really didn't want to do something, instead of not listening to my body, which I tend not to do, to slow down and listen. The massage was more of an oil rub than a real massage. I did not feel like I had a 90 minute massage at all the next day. The therapist was not very friendly either and a personal touch was completely missing. She did not try to call me by my first name even once throughout the session and I was asked to leave even before I had finished my little cup of water completely at the end. I've had massages from Samantha and Frankie. Both were really welcoming and professional. I probably won't go back to Frankie because I asked for a deep tissue massage and he used a light touch. I just got back from seeing Barb at Healing Spirit Touch and can I just say wow! I don't know how my experience could have been any better. I arrived right at the time I was scheduled to have my massage ( I should have arrived earlier to have time to fill out a form). Barb took that into account and made sure my session was still a full hour. Throughout the session, Barb was very respectful and always informed me as to what she was doing. I broke my right collar bone 20 some odd years ago and she paid special attention to that, while also giving me solutions to things I could do to correct it in the future. I left the session feeling completely relaxed, muscles were loose, and refreshed. Barb was patient, knowledgeable, and so in tune to what my body needed. I saw Hannah for a 60 minute deep tissue massage. She is one of the very best massage therapist I've seen. She read my intake material and responded appropriately to my request for a focus on pecs, neck and upper back.
