I was pissed and I had too cool off so It wouldn't be full of emotion. -TLDR 2015-2020 Loved this place but starting 2020 till 2023 they were fucking up by eyebrows more then doing them good. I started getting by eyebrows down at hair centric in 2015, LOVED it and was getting my eyebrows waxed CONSISTENTLY (as soon as they were started growing) done from the end of 2015 to mid 2018 and then I would let them grow back before I would get them waxed again. The first time they FUCKED up my eyebrows was 2020 right before the covid lockdown. and ever since then till I stopped going (Augest 2023) they were fucking up my eyebrows or almost letting me walk out with mismatched eyebrows unless I said something even if it was pretty obvious (I know eyebrows aren't going to be twin sisters but they were barley distance cousins) Why did I keep going? 5 years of them doing a great job and knowing other places close by didn't do a good job. They would also do a good job every once in a while so I would HOLD onto that hope but the last time I went they FUCKED up by eyebrow SOOO BAD I had to sit in the car until I stopped crying so I could drive home where I then cried the rest of the day. Even if I would make an appointment they would wait till I was there to heat up the wax so I would have to wait either way. They tried cancelling my appointment 4 minutes after the start time when I walked in at the 5 minute mark (only once did I not show up to an appoinment b/c I though I booked it for a Friday when I actually booked it on a Thursday and I called them to apologize, so it wasn't because I would not show up to appointments)

I booked a blowout with Emily for 4:30. Around mid-day she let me know she had a cancellation and was able to see me sooner. I moseyed on over to the salon around 3:30 and was welcomed by the team at the salon. Emily came out to greet me and we were off to the races! I have 24" hand-tied extensions so I was used to folks taking an hour and a half when it came to a blowout and curling my luscious locks. Emily went to work and I was done within an hour and it looked *so* good. Little did I know my $50 blowout would also come with a comedy hour. We laughed the entire session and let me tell you, I'm an awkward introvert but Emily is such a welcoming presence, I felt comfortable sharing my dark sense of humor from the get-go. It's usually done quickly, no trouble. I enjoy the beverage they provide and I enjoy socializing with other patrons. I often go with friends and rarely do we have a long wait, if any wait at all. I never make an appointment-I just don't have that kind of schedule and I've always been accommodated. I don't mind not having the same technician so I'm willing to be flexible for the walk-in privilege. It's by far not the cheapest place I've ever been but their fees are posted on the wall directly behind you if you are at the front counter and they have fee sheets (along with package offerings) at each station. Communicating can be a challenge, but I so admire the Vietnamese staff! They have moved to a new to them country and work hard for their money. Be patient and be prepared to explain if you want something different. I've learned about natural medicine, cooking, immigration and more from the nicest people. They are frequently quiet if you do not reach out to visit with them. I did not give them 5 stars for a couple reasons. Item number one is that they prefer cash-and since I usually do everything via Debit Card, that sometimes is a frustration because they want me to pay ATM fees so they get cash and don't have to pay credit card fees. I don't like that. I always try and remember to get the cash I need but sometimes... and item number two is their practice of always asking about waxing. I'm sure they are instructed to solicit alternate profit streams but it's every single time I'm in there and it can get tedious (especially since waxing is not an option for me!).

It's very lively, compared to other places i've been to where the salon employees seem to work hard ignoring you. I had a pedicure and bio gel extension nails manicure. They are *serious* about cleanliness and sanitation. My feel felt great and toenails look terrific. The bio gel nails are a true game changer! They are indestructible, smooth, and easy to file down if needed. I even went back after a week to get a new gel polish. I am really happy to find a chill salon.
