I am writing this review as I sit in the doctors office. The doctor I saw today is an older gentlemen, who claims to be the only doctor here. (I am definitely getting his name before I leave to update) As soon as he walked in his voice/tone with me was rude. He stood up twice and asked if I wanted his help or not. I went in today for a physical/lift test for a new employer. I had a TB that was/is required of me. I filled out the survey and handed it to reception whom ultimately gave it to the doctor. He took one look at it and said "no we are doing a TB test." I expressed since he couldn't sign it off that I would do my test with my primary doctor who is closer. His response "why?! You must live close...your employer must be close if you came here. No! I'm not approving anything!" I asked him to please change his tone and he rolled his eyes at me. He kept saying he couldn't approve it and wouldn't continue until I was cleared. 3 nurses looked at my paperwork and wondered why he didn't approve it. All of them were confused. They apologized. I have never been treated with such disrespect before by a doctor. I kept asking to speak to someone else and he wasn't allowing it....saying he was the only one. Now I've learned that he's crossed off some areas of my paperwork to turn into my employer..... All the other staff members were kind and were apologizing for the doctor. Some said "that's how he is...." Side note: I'm not a regular patient, I was a walk in so I understand I was probably just thrown into his schedule. read more

The first thing that comes to mind is "Welcome to the Monkey House." Inept reception staff, introverted nurses, and unengaged Dr.s. I can't believe anyone recommend this place. They didn't have my appointment in the system (thanks new receptionist), their internet was down, so they kept restarting their computer and holding me up for over an hour to see the Dr. I asked them to bill me (since they billed my wife the last time she was there when they FORGOT to ask for her copay), and they said they couldn't. Really? For $35 you make me wait an hour? Why not worry about it later and get me in to see the Dr. right away. The Dr. came in and dodged out, ordered an Xray that never came, so I would up walking out. Not impressed in the least. read more

Poor I went to a drug test for employment and came positive with morphine. False results are easy and known. The restroom looks dirty and you can't sit dirty everywhere. This people are far behind technology and not aware of false results. I have Eaten in the morning Poppyseed bagel and the night before two regular headache bills. After the results came out the doctor and me went through the stuff. He talked all the times from codeine but codeine was negative. If I talked what I have taken "he said no it isn't " Later I went to the assistance and talked to him over the poppyseed bagel and how poorly the drug test was taken. Probably the assistance went out the room and the manager came in. The Manager Say to me. I have to leave the clinic.! I ask only for the results and went to my new employer. Good thx! their sent me to another clinic for retest. With a clean restroom and a toilet seat clean. Waiting area with drinks and little candy draw. Don't go! the education is bad..and the drug test get taken on the dirty room with the dirty toilet. The waiting area is poor only tv no drinks! no little stuff!and waiting time is long.! read more

How dare this place ask for yelp reviews! It is a completely horrific clinic, the wait time is an hour with appointment. The customer service, none. Once checked in I am told the Doctor is out to lunch. So I guess my appointment is schedule around his lunch hour now I sit and wait. Employees here have that "shoot me I hate my job" look and don't ask them questions because they will just roll their eyes and give you attitude and sigh. I was here on the 8/23 only for a physical exam and tb test , I was the only one waiting , there was no one else and I had to wait for almost 2 hours to get the whole procedure done . This is not only 2018, but I never drove two hours away to a place I've never heard of to get an xray of my neck and spine! Healthpointe on Valley View has an amazing service with some great doctors who are not just knowledgeable but also very kind hearted. Specially the one who treated my daughter was really good. He does prove that people become doctors to serve a noble cause. At least he is one of them...We got the necessary advise and am hoping my daughter will be in great shape in no time. I was at this place few weeks ago to do a physical and a drug screen it was after 1pm and it wasnt that much people. The young lady in the front Jesica attend me with a professional way. Most places ive gone was pretty trash but this place is well organized. Jesica helped me in alot with my question i had and she was very nice and sweet. This place i would recommend to go. I normally do not Yelp but the front staff here really needs to get their attitude changed. they seem like they hate working at this place. They don't smile or show that they are happy to help you. they sound irritated and want to take it out on you. They see that you have arrived and don't even great you or ask how they can help you. Got here 1 hour before my appointment, filled out paperwork, and 2 hours pass my time to see the doctor, still waiting. Went to ask the staff what was the hold up, and with an attitude, told me they had others before me...yeah BS!!! When I got here there were only 3 people sitting in the waiting room, WTF. Terrible wait times. I was sent here by my job after injuring my back at work. I called in first to see how long the wait was, I was told 15-20 minutes. Once I got here I was told the wait was 30 minutes. After waiting an HOUR AND 15 MINUTES, the front desk lady said it would be another 30 mins. After 2 hours I finally get taken back to see the Dr. wait AGAIN for the nurse.... another 20 mins for the Dr. .... another 15 mins for the X-ray.... another 20 mins for the DR AGAIN! After ALMOST 4 HOURS I get sent home with an INCOMPLETE prescription. I get to the pharmacy and they can't even fill it! I call HealthPoint and the girl says she will take care of it and call me right back. I never get a phone call back so after an HOUR I call back and now they tell me that it's after hours so no one can help me. I call back the next day and Evett is no help, she tells me she will call it in and make sure they have the right billing information for my worker comp and I go back to the pharmacy.... for yet another let down, THEY STILL DONT HAVE THE RIGHT INFO! Now I'm here, back for a checkup with and appointment. When I brought up the prescription to the doctor he raised his voice at me as if I was a child!! Dr McClure basically told me he could not help me and I had to take it up with my human resources at work! After waiting an hour to see him he was in with me for about five minutes, walks out the door leaving me hanging with no information, no help, no new prescription, no Physical Therapy, no acupuncture, no chiropractor help. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! As I'm walking out they try to schedule a third appointment... I'm sorry, FOR WHAT??? They have done nothing to help me in the last week and a half and only wasted 5 1/2 hours of my life in 2 appointments.... but getting yelled at by Dr. McClure was the icing on the damn cake. I recently visited this facility with my dad for the first time. I've recently relocated to CA from the east coast with my elderly father and being new to the area, we've decided to visit Healthpointe. Not long after arriving, Thelma, the receptionist made both my dad's and my visit so welcoming and pleasant. She was both patient and understanding toward all questions asked by my father and I (which between us all, you rarely find that nowadays.) I have been to this clinic twice as a patient for consultations which lead to two major and successful surgeries. I am currently having My Physical Therapy sessions there. My First visit was in 2010 and now, 2016. I have Great Faith and Trust that anyone who makes an appointment and visits, will get the BEST Medical Care possible. I will First mention My Doctor, DR. ZENIA CORTES. Dr Zenia Cortes is the very best in her field, in my opinion. She is a great communicator to her patients, cares about the progress of her patients' well being, and is a perfectionist in the quality work performed as a Surgeon. A Surgeon who specializes in Sports medicine. Next, A VERY Honorable mention to My Physical Therapist, Dr. MOJGAN RAHIMI, PT Assistant, AARON ( "KUYA"), And the Friendly and always helpful PT Staff. They are always a pleasure to be around each and every time I had attended my PT appointments. They have an understanding of what YOU are going through mentally, physically, and emotionally. They are very professional, observant, friendly, have great compassion for their patients' needs and concerns. They have much patience and they give "Tough Love" to all their patients. "Tough Love" meaning that THEY GIVE THEIR BEST to make sure YOU are feeling YOUR BEST after leaving a session/ appointment. And Lastly, The Front desk and ALL the Staff at LA MIRADA HEALTHPOINTE. I called yesterday asking if I could see an orthopedic doctor today. I was told to just come in at 8:30 to see a doctor. I get in today and the front lady tells me I have to make an appointment and doesn't give any explanation for the directions I was given last night. Now I have to wait a month and a half to see a doctor for my back pain. Are you serious? Not coming here. They are rude and just lost my business! read more

The staff is really great and the client representative Roxanne Velasquez always goes above and beyond in everything she does. My appointment was at 10, its now 1136 and I still haven't been seen. They even had the nerve to tell me to come early to fill out paperwork. I complain to the front desk and they ask if I want to reschedule... Yes please, let me take another day off work while you make me wait way past my appointment time. This will be my last visit. How his place gets 4 stars is beyond me.. The staff is rude and doesn't seem to know what's going on..it's like they're all in medical training or something. And the doctors are slow and could careless what your going through. On more than one occasion I was left in the room waiting for a doctor for over an hour... We recently signed up for their Occupational Health and have sent our first employee out there. It was packed and she was in/out of there in about an hour. The facility is clean, small in comparison to a hospital but i'm okay with that. It's a full service facility and it's pretty impressive. It's still new to us so i'll update when i know more. read more

If I can give it 0 stars I would. The first person I talked to was calm and nice. He asked for basic information and said healthpointe will call me back in 2-3 days to schedule an appointment. Which It was kinda odd, ive never heard of a dr office saying they will call back after verifying insurance, to make an appt. that was on a wednesday. So I called healthpointe on that friday which was no answer all day; they never called back to make an appointment again i waited all weekend and till tuesday still no call back!! Now its been 9 days and no call back with appt & they have my information!!!!! They are fishy here!!!! And i really needed to see their specialist. Dont waste your time here; worst dr office and worst customer service!!! read more

Got hurt at work and boss said I have to be seen by doctor, go to la mirada healthpointe and fill out paperwork and wait 1 1/2 hours, at that point i tell the receptionist i m fine and leave. They call my work like i just ditched school the second i walked out. My boss tells me to go back next day. I return and wait over 2 hours after signing in, so i leave again and they call my boss again only this time they lie to my boss stating i arrived at 2:15, i actually arrived at 1:15. Basically they had no problem putting my job in jeopardy for the sake of their incompetence or inadequacies. Thankfully i have been with this company for 8 years and they no i am honest and ethical unlike this so-called medical clinic. Not to mention my GPS backed my time of arrival. This place is worse than the dmv on a bad day. Fyi if you bring your kids like a few patients that day had they have wonderful selection of day time tv talk shows for them to watch with detailed stories of sex and infidelity. read more
