I recently had to purchase a new pellet stove due to my old one starting to fail. I was fortunate to choose Heart Line Stove Shop in Jaffrey, NH as the first place that I stopped to begin my shopping. I met Juno, the representative from Heart Line that first greeted me at the door, and we began discussing my needs. She talked to me about a few of the stoves that they had and it became very quickly apparent that my needs were very specific due to the small footprint I had in my loft where the stove had to be. Juno suggested that the next step would be to have, Dave one of the other employees at Heart Line, to come out to my home and do a site survey to see what sort of stove my home could accommodate based on the safety and installation requirements I had to adhere to. I made an appointment and Dave came out and did the survey and it became quickly apparent that the only Harmon stove that would work with me would be from Allure line and that the model 50 would be the best fit. It also happened to be the stove that I really liked as it was very modern looking and had a nice window where we could watch the fire. I ordered the model 50 and the scheduled install date that was several weeks into the future. On that day I was pleased to meet Tony and Jeff, the installers who came from Heart Line. They were the best as they easily removed the old 400 pound clunker of a stove that I had got it down the stairs and out to the truck using this really remarkable cart that can actually climb stairs. They then brought out the new Allure 50 stove in and again brought it up the stairs. Both operations were done without any damage to my wood floors. Tony & Jeff were professional, polite, and easy to work with. They did an excellent job start to finish. They were able to utilize my existing exhaust vent piping to hook the stove up to the stack on the outside of my house. All in all the installation went very smoothly and just looks great. After that they fired it up and I was amazed at the new technology with an external sensor mounted on the wall that the stove was able to use to sense room temperature and automatically starts & stops the stove to keep a set temperature. A very detailed screen and menu system really showed off the capabilities of the stove. Tony & Jeff spent some time with me explaining the menuing system and how to use it as well as the basic requirements for cleaning , all of which are also available on the Heart Line website. I just want to say my entire involvement with Heart Line Stove Shop and their employees was simply the best as they made this expensive purchase one of easiest and stress free experiences that I have ever had. Now that I am using the stove I am even more amazed at how wonderful it is and how much of an improvement it has been over the old stoves of 10 to 14 ago. When needed this stove can really crank out the heat and heat not only heat my upstairs loft area, but actually, using a ceiling fan, I can push the air down into the lower level and heat that as well. The automatic features are impressive. There are so many other features of this Harmon stove that I won't go into but make it the outstanding product that it is. To, Juno, Dave, Tony, & Jeff, thanks for recommending me an excellent product and thanks for providing me excellent service and making me one very happy customer. ordered a gas stove In October of 2022 with the agreement that they will install. After stove had arrived they said they could not install it. Fast forward to to today, Feb , 23, 2023. Stove still sitting in my living room and no install. The company they recommended to install forgot about me. Hoping to get my stove hooked up by next winter. Heartline should have set up installation through the companies they recommended instead of leaving the customer to spend endless calls trying to find a gas installer. I have purchased several Pacific Energy stoves from them, but the second one was a disaster and they would not stand behind it, r how they marketed it. The Pacific Energy Vista would make a great parlor stove, but it is not a primary heat source (it only has about a 4 to 5 hour burn time when fully loaded with seasoned hardwood and when fully damped down). I did not expect I could get a full refund, but I fully expected they would help. Brian seemed to have zero interest in being any help what so ever. He would not even listen to a suggestion that they market the stove as a parlor stove, which is what it effectively is. If it were worth the effort to take them to small claims court, I would be doing do. I suggest that you stay away from this business! read more

If I could give this shop a 0 Star review, I would. Don't let the pretty website with the rave reviews fool you. When trying to get a quote for a stove, including install, and also asking a few basic questions about the process, the timing etc, we were hit with very rude statements and responses from Larry. Larry seems to be the owner, sales rep and customer service employee. However, Larry's skills in these areas are very lacking. My very first reply from him indicated that he had not bothered to even read my inquiry nor looked at the pictures I had sent of our current setup. Btw, the website says that you can send pictures to help ease the process along. Larry just suggested we just visit the shop instead, or pay $100 for a home visit. It was clear Larry did not want to try and communicate or answer our questions via email. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to him maybe being technologically challenged. However, each response we got was worse than the last. When I asked about an install cost, he said "i can't quote you because I don't know where you live." That's fine, but maybe say, I'd love to give you a quote, can you please tell me where you are located? That would have been nicer. Larry also was an unable to let me know what the install time frame would look like because "his schedule is always changing". What does that mean? A business should have a calendar and schedule for their workers and installs right in front of him. In addition, We had questions about drilling additional holes in our house and his response was "there is a simple solution here and that's for you to buy the stove and install it yourself". What? This was the last straw, we told Larry we'd take our business else where. There is a lovely lady in Mass at Bernardston Farm Supply, named Wendy who was more than willing to answer our questions and give us a quote. Guess who we are going to make a sale with this weekend? Morale of the story: hire a new customer service rep. read more

I live 25 miles away from this business and need a part for my pellet stove tested. I called first to make sure that it could be done before I made the one hour trip through the mountains. I was told that it could be done and to come over. When I arrived I encountered Brian Miller, unwelcoming, unfriendly, who then told me they could not test it. I told him that I had just called and was told to come over. He did not explain why it could not be done and offered no apology, no concern for my wasted trip; basically NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would not patronize this store and will make it my mission to see that anyone I know will know about them. As a family member or possibly an owner, Brian Miller will not be in business anyway if my experience is shared by the market. read more

The people at this business are so rude and disrespectful, I will never do business with them again. They are over an hour away from where I live, but because of covid the stove we wanted wasn't in stock at our local stove store. Heart Line had one on sale so we got the stove we wanted for a good price, but the customer service is absolutely horrible. I called there this morning with a couple questions about the installation. We did the install ourselves, as they do not travel to where we live. The guy that was put on the phone to answer my questions (the son of the owner) was beyond rude mean and combative. He said he was the poor sucker handed the phone and that wasn't the worst of it. I was about arguing with him just to get a couple questions answered. Also my husband called there right before we were going to install it days ago and got a different guy and he was so rude my husband is still pissed and said we will never deal with them again and will not recommend to anyone. Customer service is a important part of a business especially when your making a purchase just shy of $5000. The lady who explained things about the stove was nice after the initial discussion when I walked in and was told no one took my name over the phone, so she didn't know if they sold the stove we just drove over an hour away for. I had to go back as they sold me the wrong thimble, our stove was already installed. We used our old thimble, I just wanted a refund. They told me they were charging me a 5% charge for returning it after I drove a hour and a half to return something they had made a mistake on. Me and the rude son had words and he said he had said he was sorry on the phone, which he didn't he was lying. Just totally crazy! I'm just floored at the mean rudeness we dealt with. I guess they don't need your business. That's the only explanation I can come up with, that a business would treat paying customers so shitty. I noticed my review isn't the only one of this nature, not a surprise!! What a shame, it's a very nice store.. Any savings we got with the stove being on sale and no taxes in New Hampshire was not worth being treated so poorly. I recommend Stove Depot in Bennington, VT or The Fireplace in Whatley, MA. Bought a pellet stove from them approx 3 years ago. Heard there was an update from the manufacturer regarding the computer firmware being upgraded but the dealers have to do it. I called heart line inquiring about it and they took down all sorts of information to "call me back"... THEY NEVER DID... poor customer follow-through. If there is one thing that rates poorly in my book is when a company says they are going to do something and then never do. It reveals a lot in my opinion. Although their stove prices are great and carry many excellent models from great manufacturers, their piping is way over priced. you can get the same piping from your local LOWES or HOME DEPOT for aprrox half the cost they charge. read more

Asked for a quote for chimney cleaning and was told "I dont come out for less than 200" . Thats fine but the day before he quoted 150 and when asked what changed , he said nothing. Asked what they clean on wood stove and he said the old ash, not sure what that means. I have no problem spending 200 or more on clean out but they should be able to explain what you get for the money. I have bought several expensive parts for my pellet stove over the years and ash vacuum etc. Will not give any of my business now and will tell all others of the greed of Larry. ZERO STARS! I drove an hour roundtrip called ahead for parts avail. & price.PS No Handicap Parking I had every # from the stove & part #`s I needed.1 item needed was the burn pot/flame cover. He brought me a cover it was smaller & curved with incorrect pt. #.I told him mine was flat & gave him the correct part #. He INSISTED it would fit. I bought it & a new auger. At home I saw I was charged $15 more than quoted on the phone & the plate was WRONG.I called & told them of THEIR mistake & was told come & get the right plate. I asked if they had any deliveries near Keene so I could swap parts .Nope! I drove back & was treated VERY rudely. They blamed it on me. He insisted it would have fit. He then gave me the right one. I asked about the $ difference & was told again, I was wrong .I asked if they were going to do anything for me due to their mistake. NO! Even 2 bags of pellets would've been nice & cost them maybe$6-$7? Try the Farmers Supply in ma off I-91 just S. of brat. I should have! read more
