Run far far away. Where do I even start. My fiancé and I chose this place to stay while we got married in a nearby pasture in Grand Tetons. To sum it up, this place had it not been in the location it is, would be worse than a Motel 6 in downtown LA. There's no hot water, in some rooms no running water at all. The staff is disgraceful and out of line, so unbelievably rude and unprofessional. The walls are thin, you can hear your neighbors having a simple conversation. Mouse shit in the rooms, no clean towels for 3 days. And did I tell you there's no hot water? All of this while I'm sitting at the front and the owner drives up in his new 200k G Wagon. I will NEVER recommend this place and feel horribly embarrassed we had our wedding party stay here. Never again. Find another place, do your research this place wouldn't even be worth $20 a night to stay. read more

Depending on which site you use to see reviews, the ranch at times averages 2/5 stars (at best). To say the least, we were a little tentative with booking at Heart 6 Ranch. However, we needed last minute accommodation and didn't want to be spending an exorbitant amount of money on a place we would literally only be using for two nights sleep. After staying in one of the ranch's wagons, I will venture to say that poor reviews are likely related to lofty expectations. This is not a glamping experience, folks. If you are expecting a 5 star ranch experience with maid and room service - THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. Now with that being said, if you enjoy tent camping and spending time in the "rustic" outdoors - THIS PLACE IS GREAT! We are avid hikers and enjoy backcountry camping and tent camping, so this place provided amenities above and beyond our typical camping experiences. The wagon provided ample room for us (me and my partner) and our Australian shepherd. The wagon has a propane heater that worked reasonably well. We had one night of cold rainy weather, and the heater was clutch! I had read in other reviews that people had experienced rain leaks in their wagons and/or tents. That was not the case for us, but I can only speak for Wagon #10. The ranch is ideally located ~10 minutes from the entrance to Teton Nat'l Park. There is a restaurant onsite, but the menu is limited and pricey. If you drive down the road another 8-10 miles there is a restaurant at Turpin Meadows Ranch that serves daily lunch and dinner (dinner requires reservation). Another food option to check out is a cafe that is about 10-15 minutes down the road heading towards Debois. Of course, there is also restaurants in Jackson Hole that are ~30 minutes away, too. The ranch definitely gives off that good ol' cowboy experience with a horse drive each morning around 8AM and evening around 6PM. They offer horse back rides (we did not do) which looked popular. I am giving the ranch 4 stars because I do think there is room for improvement in simple things. First, the bathrooms and showers are not sufficient for the number of campers at the ranch. There needs to be additional bathrooms made available. Also, all the bathrooms could use a good scrub and more routine stocking (toilet paper, paper towels/hand towels, soap, etc). Each time I used the bathroom there were no paper towels to dry my hands with. Many reviews describe the poor cleanliness of the ranch and its accommodations. Again, remember you are not at a 5 star dude ranch - but I do think there can be some sweeping and wiping down of the mattress pads and wagons on a more frequent basis to remove dirt/grime, etc *One other thing is that linens for the bed and towels for showering, etc cost extra. Personally, I think these items should be included in your rental cost (I have not rented rooms/lodging before where the bedsheets/linens are not included). Absolutely phenomenal experience staying here in the wagons. Of our entire 2 week roadtrip this by far our favorite place and I recommend to everyone to try it. I was on the fence about partaking in this experience because the price seemed way to steep for a wagon, but the truth is you get so much more. Nestled in the mountains with other adventurous people around. The cafe here was pretty cool, but a long time. Squeezed myself in a pretty good buffalo burger before they closed. The amenities here were pretty cool. Basketball court, pool table, horses,etc. There was also a super cool dog Lucy that lived on site and was fun to play with. The wagon itself was huge and got super cold (but had a heater for those who don't like cold), there was also outlets for those needing to charge. Only bad experience here was a red head worker who was very rude when we arrived, but we didn't let that get to us and enjoyed our entire time here. Don't book here. Worst customer service. Charged me $30 per night for fireplace but didn't allow me to turn it on. I paid a $180 extra and never got my refund back. Got sick with the flu on my first night and asked the manager to cancel my 1 week stay and he said you can leave but will still charge you $1700 for 1 week stay. Bad customer service. No one came to take out the trash in my one week stay and I booked a horseback riding tour and the young girl was rude. I don't know if it's a southern culture to be rude with people or was she was just racist. read more

Do not stay here if you want peace and quiet. The walls are paper thin, they are merely an illusion of privacy. The walls are so thin you can expect to hear the following ; next room's conversation, when they use the bathroom(#1 & #2) , loud snoring, or when they unzip their luggage. It's ridiculous, I almost prefer sleeping in my car. I hardly got any sleep, I had to go into town and get some ear plugs. Also I saw a mice and random bugs. I understand we are in a ranch, but come on! They don't want us to keep food in our car because of bear. But I can't keep food in the room because of the mouse. I don't know why this didn't post earlier so I am just going to post what I meant to post at the time now but my original visit was in june 2020. This place was absolutely appalling So appalling that that we cannot even Stay there. They advertised online a very quiet romantic cabin room and it was nothing like that. Let me start off by saying the moment you drive up and park to walk in the front door to the front desk to check in it is the most disgusting in sight I have ever seen. They should be investigated for animal cruelty because they had a tiny area where they had multiple puppies that rolled around in their own piss, shit, dirt and mud. One of the girls came out and was like "Hey guys it's time for food" and literally just poured dog food into this already cramped space let all the dogs eat dry dog food off the ground that's covered with dirt mud piss shit. The smell was so strong they obviously did not clean up these dogs often. I love animals and I'm not saying the need to treat those dogs as good as I do, but it didn't even look like they wanted to do the bare minimum. Now to the nightmare which is our cabin. The walls were so thin that we could hear the people next to us and they were rude as hell yelling at us to be quiet even though me and my fiance were literally talking. The wood floor was so old and torn up that it's splintered. We did not even feel comfortable walking around without shoes on since the floor was so splintered it looks like it would cut up our feet even with socks on. Nothing was cleaned the toilet and shower are absolutely disgusting. this one really got me and showed me that they obviously do not clean these rooms whatsoever which is weird since we're in the middle of a pandemic but apparently this type of cabin life is able to be ignored. But there were dead bugs all over! On the window seal, the floor, the sink, then furniture. Then we went to the front desk they tried to offer something else but I try to tell her that they already made a terrible impression on me with a very low quality dirty room and I wanted a refund. They did refund me two out of the 3 days that we bought but didn't refund the 3rd day because it was 4 hours from when we checked in to when we went to the front desk to let them know we were leaving, but mind you we were not in the room for more than maybe an hour tops. It took us 3 hours to find a new place. I really do not recommend this place to anyone if you have any standards. read more

Dirty, needs repairs for safety, broken blinds, sinking floor, door doesn't shut properly, stained carpet, muddy, manure dotted drive you have to walk through to your car; overpriced food and drink, no TV in room, had to leave our drinks outside overnight to keep semi cold. The 1 star was for... Hmmm I'm not quite sure. The stars at night were really nice but you could have seen that anywhere out in the open. I stood in a yurt tipi. I arrived and the whole ranch looked nothing like the website. Okay fine not a big deal. Check in and the staff was friendly. I get to my tipi and the cots were unassembled. I had to put the legs together myself. They were old and made A LOT of noise when you lay on it. Okay fine. Bring your own blankets because they provide very thin blankets and NO pillows. Okay it's cool... I forgave all that. Not even where the bad review comes in. The restroom facilities were DISGUSTING. My standards are VERY low to the point where I'd go in the middle of the forest and be okay. I'll provide pictures. There was pee all over the floor from the toilet being flooded with poop and pee. The showers were disgusting and had pee on the floor. A large section of the restroom was used for storage. It literally looked like a dump. The toilet was UNUSABLE which was the purpose of me paying for a nice ranch/campground. This continued for two nights with absolutely no maintenance. This business has a great idea but terrible execution. Just be fare warned that they don't care about the tenants. You're definitely okay to pass up this place. Not worth the money that was charged. This is the place for you if you don't care about amenities such as hot coffee in your room; there isn't any. Coffee can be purchased at the restaurant after 7 a.m. Luckily, we had a thermos and filled it the night before since we are early risers. The restaurant on site is expensive, with the food being a typical dive diner. Cost was about $40 for 2 people getting chicken strips and fish and chips. Nothing special as everything was frozen and then cooked. The room -- nice enough at first site. We were in a multi room cabin. Better hope that no one in the next room snores or you'll be awake all night. We could hear people talking and what they were saying, so don't tell any secrets. Cleanliness was just ok as it doesn't appear that they vacuum very often. Shower was great; it was probably the highlight of staying here. read more

Lengthy but worth the read- OHHH the ol' Heart 6 Ranch, I'm guessing they call it this because it's managed to capture the hearts of 6 people throughout its 130+ years of operation. After a long day in Yellowstone we arrived at the ranch and urgently needed to use the facilities. Imagine our surprise when the door to my parents bathroom was locked. Was it a disgruntled ranch-hand hiding out? Did the maid overdose? It ended up just being a locked door but still wildly inconvenient. The Front desk/bar ended up being closed when we went to ask for a key. So save your problems for the morning people! instead of providing any assistance the bartender who was closing up assured us that he would "text someone about it." Who needs a bathroom anyways, right? 30 minutes of waiting and we decided to walk around and look for a screwdriver ourselves. We found one in a unlocked workshop on the property. Security is taken very seriously here. We ended taking the knob off to unlock the door. (The person supposedly coming to fix the door never showed up throughout the 3 day stay) I recommend bringing your own small cache of hand tools for quick repair. After that encounter it was time for me to check out my room. The first thing I noticed was the door that connects to the adjoining room was only dead bolted on the other side. It would be perfect if your into that whole uninvited midnight visitor kinda thing. When I went to turn on the ceiling fan I was met with a shower of dust in which case I helped the maid out by wiping it with one of the hand towels (See picture) shades in the room were broken providing an unobstructed view of the horses, garbage, and other people of the ranch. Next was the bathroom. It would be cozy if you're a spider, you wouldn't even need to build a new web there's plenty of old ones to utilize. The heater was broken making for brisk mornings. Make sure to warm up in the dirty and stained shower! The single bulb flickering among the cobwebs makes for a calming ambiance. My one star is for the bed and pillows. They were just fine. What wasn't fine was turning off the lights and immediately hearing my Cheetos bag crunching. I flicked on my flashlight and was greeted by mickey mouse! But instead of trying to lure me and the other children into his underground bunker he was trying to score some of my Cheetos. I put my Cheetos in my pack and crawled back into bed hoping that Mickey wasn't hungry enough to munch through fabric. When I woke in the morning my family and I made our way to the front desk to address the mouse issue. The response was concerning. We were told that there is an endangered mice species (endangered mice??) that inhabits the area that they aren't allowed to trap. But fret not the guests are allowed! So they handed us 4 glue traps and sent us on our way. I would suggest bringing a few traps along or asking for them at check in to save time. After setting the traps and spending the day in Yellowstone we returned to find they had been effective. The traps were filled with hair and mouse poop. They were poison glue traps so I'm guessing the rotting body will compliment the lovely scent of mildew and ammonia. All in all I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you dream of getting dysentery like a true pioneer. read more

Burger was good, but the service was shit. We walked into the restaurant and sat waiting to be helped for 10 minutes, we ended up walking up to the bar and asking how we place our order. They didn't tell us until after we ordered that they had no ice, our drinks were hot and flat and very expensive. We called and asked specifically for an ADA accessible room. They took our money but when we got there, the ramp to the room was half collapsed and the room had a 5" threshold to enter. Big meltdown and lots of work to get in. No choice, Friday night @ 2000 hours. The room did have a roll in shower. It also had an envelope on the nightstand for the housekeepers. The dust was so thick on the fan, rocking chair, wood holder, and wood stove that we left messages. We could not access the 1 restaurant and we were charged for boxes to take the food to our disabled daughter and we were charged a gratuity for the pleasure of walking down and getting food from the inaccessible restaurant. The front desk gentleman (youngish) had no clue what ADA is. Needless to say, absolutely stellar views but this property could be spectacular if someone took an interest in upgrading the facilities in every way. I wish I could put zero stars. This is truly the most disgusting, filthy place I have ever seen. We paid extra to be in a room instead of one of the teepees or the wagons and it was FILTHY. Shit all over the floor, nothing was wiped down. I could literally write my name in the dust that was caked on the head board and the blinds- not to mention the dust filled exposed vent in the bathroom. There was stuff all over the carpet, chunks of something in the shower, our towels were stained, and the side of the building was literally rotting off. We had to ask for someone to come clean our room again to which he was in there for 2 mins spraying the shower down- then left. Went to the cafe to grab a coffee and a water- water they charge you $3 for, a drip brewed coffee is $5. Bartender/server was rude and clearly did not want to be there. A dude ranch wasn't exactly our scene, but we decided to stay here because Jackson isn't either. We were able to get a room when a lot of rooms were booked in town. And the price was competitive. The surroundings were stunning. It was quiet and close enough to Grand Teton NP. The room was comfortable enough, except for the mysterious leak and wet carpet on the side of the bed where when we called about it, were told, "Oh, that again!" The restaurant dinner menu didn't offer much if anything for non-meat eaters. Though the breakfast menu listed sides of individual eggs, toast... when we tried ordering just a couple eggs and toast, we were told they weren't doing sides. One had to get a huge breakfast with eggs, meat, toast, potatoes... Be prepared if you ask for water to have to pay $1 for a plastic souvenir promo cup. My partner and I are staying in Jackson Hole for a long weekend and decided to try both dog sledding and snowmobiling tour. Heart Six was recommended by our resort, Amangani, as a good place to do both of those things. We scheduled dog sledding for Saturday afternoon, and snowmobiling for Sunday morning. Dog sledding was a cool experience, unique and new to both of us. It was fun, though we spent more time watching them hook up and unhook the dogs than we did actually riding/mushing (they did let us mush the dogs for a few minutes which was pretty neat!). It was cool to learn about the sport and the dogs themselves, but we weren't blown away by the experience. We also had some issues with the staff, which I'll mention at the end. Snowmobiling, on the other hand, was incredible. We went early this morning, it was freezing cold (obviously, it's January in Wyoming), but it was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Bug, was very polite and careful with the clients, and did a great job. The views were unreal, and it was way more fun to each get our own machine (we saw others sharing and we're glad we didn't). We would definitely recommend the snowmobiling tour! Now for the reason I'm writing this. My partner and I are gay men, though apparently the staff figured we were just friends, as they made some extremely clumsy homophobic remarks while we were standing right next to them - more than once. We were sufficiently uncomfortable that we secretly texted each other, in that moment, and agreed that if prompted, we would say we were just friends. The comments weren't horrible or violent - we're adults and have heard enough semi-aggressive comments by straight people in our lives - but it's 2021 and Jackson Hole gets a lot of clientele from all over the place. It was just massively inappropriate. For that reason, I would not rate this place as being LGBT+ friendly. If that's important to you, there are tons of other options. Thank you to those staff who were friendly and professional, we really enjoyed the snowmobiling tour, but we won't be returning or recommending Heart Six to friends. read more

We do not write complaints in Yelp, but people need to know about this. My friend and I stayed at this ranch on our first day in Wyoming. We have no problems then. And the head guy (the one sitting in front of the office computer). He offered us to come back on our last day and do horse back riding. I took it into consideration and booked a horse back riding the night before over the phone on our last day. Unfortunately, my friend started having low grade fever later that night, and as a nurse myself, I tried to call early (starting 5:30am), to try and inform the staff that I'm concerned about my friend having potential Covid symptoms, and did not want to expose him and his staff. I kept calling multiple times, and finally got a hold of the guy from the office. I tried to explain we'd rather not come to prevent any potential Covid exposure (just in case my friend's fever is really a Covid symptom). However, the head of the staff I talked to said there's no refund, and that we can still go despite warning him that my friend might have Covid symptoms. I said there's no way we'd go there and potentially expose them. But the guy I spoke to is absolutely rude and passive aggressive, and would not take my request into consideration. He even murmured over the phone that the guy who has our horses already had Covid so he's not as concerned. What head of staff would do that and potentially risk his staff's health just for a horse back ride! Sir, I was seriously concerned for you and your staff's health. But you insist there's absolutely no way to refund us and that we can still do the horseback riding. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE SO YOU DO NOT RUIN YOUR TRIP! read more

We signed up for an 11 o'clock ride and because of some staffing issues, it ran pretty late. The staff that was there were fantastic, helpful and kind. They managed to maintain their positive attitudes despite the incessant complaints of some of the other riders there. We had the best time staying here. It's a perfect location (between both parks) and the view was incredible and the bed was cozy. If you get there at the right time, you get to watch them move the horses to the meadow too, which is really fun. All in all, we absolutely loved our quick one night stay here and hope to be back! Terrible experience. I'd like a refund for paying for 3 hour tour and only getting a 2 hour tour with a 1hr 15min delay getting started. Our Guide, Denver, definitely set a negative mood from the very start. Treating us like we were a bunch of 5 yrolds, never once asking how much experience we had. talking down to us. Telling one of my children "you're high maintenance." We were asked to arrive 30 min. early for our 12:00 tour, which we did and didn't even get started until 1:15! We had to wait for other groups (not going w/us) to arrive, get dressed and fitted for equipment. Then load into two vans (fully dressed in snowsuits, sweating) while waiting for others not in our group to get ready and load. Drive 10 min to snowmobiles. We have been snowmobiling 5 times previous to this and this was by far the worst experience. I do NOT recommend. Used Get Your Guide app to find this place. Worst staff ever I am glad money is more important then guest safety or respect for the dead. I had a trip scheduled to enjoy thier ranch and the Tetons. Total cost around $1800. Myself and a family contracted Covid. My family member passed away yesterday. I called to cancel and get a refund because of these terrible circumstances and could really use the money towards funeral expenses. They told me and I quote "we do not issue refunds without 7 days in advance cancellation notice" I am sorry that my family memeber didn't plan their death in a more timely manner....seriously?!?!? So you want me to loose $1800 or come to your ranch, spread my covid to everyone else there and have my family members funeral in your lobby. Thanks you guys are the worst! read more

Paper thin walls, you can hear people snoring and talking. No air conditioner, Cheap Toilet paper, food at the Cafe is total garbage. Geese flying over in the morning, they'll run their horses right next to the cabin. Crap roads! I should have read reviews of this shit hole first before wasting my money. read more

I'm reviewing the trail ride at this ranch. I will start by saying that the trail ride itself was wonderful--our guide, Brooklyn, was amazing. She was very competent in her job and her level of comfort and knowledge of horses was evident. She helped turn around our experience. With that said, I've removed stars to reflect the disorganization and unprofessionalism of the staff at check-in. Read on... We arrived a little early for our 11:30 ride. We checked in, then waited next to the counter after signing our waivers. The same employees who'd helped check us in then buzzed around the shop made small talk with us while we waited. Finally, after 20 minutes of waiting, we asked them how much longer it would be. The employees (the same ones who helped us check-in and then chatted with us) had no idea what we were talking about! We told them that, uh, we'd been signed in and were waiting for our ride. Turns out, after we checked-in they were supposed to give us a map to the stables and tell us to walk up the road for our ride... but that had never happened! At this point, it was 11:50 and our group departed without us. All because the incompetent employees couldn't do their jobs and communicate to us and to their colleagues at the stables. To make matters worse, these same shop employees tried to blame the folks at the stables for letting the 11:30 group depart without us. But it had nothing to do with that--how would the stable team know we'd checked in if the staff at the counter didn't communicate that to them! Brooklyn made it right though, she quickly prepared two horses for us and led us on a wonderful trail ride with beautiful views of the Tetons, then down to the river. The ride itself was incredible and we really enjoyed ourselves. Operational leadership and a culture of accountability are gravely needed at that gift shop/check-in area. We saw the same staff be cold and unaccommodating to a family who arrived for check-in an hour early, and I had an employee tell me that people needed to (and I quote) "learn how to f*cking fold the shirts back after they look at them" and then a moment later that she was going to "sweep the sh*t out of the floor". I wasn't offended by the language, but felt it was unprofessional to speak to a customer in such a casual way, especially after dropping the ball with our check-in. In summation, thank you to Brooklyn for making our trail ride the highlight of our trip. To the staff in the check-in area: You totally suck. read more

This could be a great lodge with some effort. With any effort whatsoever, could be great. The doors didn't work in the cabin, or the interior bathroom. Zero chance at a bath, which I even asked about when we arrived. The tub didn't retain water, and it ran out of hot water 2 minutes in to filling. After a week of hiking and camping... It's all I wanted. There is no cleaning service of any kind. Each day I had to schlep down the janky stairs several stories to get fresh towels and shampoo. Trash emptying was up to us as well. The owner was quite personable, and I had no issues with him. These are first world problems to have, I know. But for over $200 a night, there should be some kind of service. Remember in movie Erin Brockovich shows up at the law office and explains she now works there because no one was answering the phones? This place needs a similar property manager. The wife had a private horse tour scheduled in the morning she was quite excited about. Except no one ever showed up. She waited at the stables and checked the office... Nothing and no one. To be positive for once here - wifey knows horses extremely well. She competes and we have horses at home. She said she was very impressed with the condition of the horses. Others complained about a 'pack of dogs' terrorizing the place... Not true at all. There is a deliteful and sweet chocolate lab named (I think) Lucy. She would do her rounds and visit. We always looked forward to it. Anyhow, if you are looking for an an $19 half assed pair of chicken strips and a $220 room where locks and doors don't work... Just head up the valley for the apathy. You can't miss it, the place reeks of it. Lastly, I am being a snob. The room was charming and comfortable and we spelt well... Which is really all we wanted. And though the room rates seemed extreme to me, they were totally on par with market value. He was actually cheapest. And... He took us in with no reservations. All in all it was fine, but so close to really being something if anyone there took any effort. read more

Came to the ranch for a half day trail ride and wow the views you get are absolutely amazing. They've also got various overnight accommodations including cabins, covered wagons, and even teepees... though we didn't stay for the evening. Our lead wrangler seemed knowledgeable though he had some initial confusion around which horses were ready and appropriate for us, which was a bit disconcerting. He also wasn't too familiar with his own guide horse and it seemed skittish and even spooked a couple times. Also our secondary "wrangler" was first day on the job and didn't know her way around horses any better than we did. Fortunately there were no emergencies and the ride was visually spectacular, but we were a little nervous the whole time (though we've been on many a trail ride previously) since it didn't feel like a well oiled trail riding operation. read more
