Four of us had a booth inside. Very noisy but manageable. Started with the Brussels sprouts - yum. Two had the salmon, one the pork chop and I had the skillet steak. No complaints. Desert - shared the crime brûlée' but really so small, should have ordered a dozen. Anyway, good crime brûlée'. Friends had that desert they make in the pizza oven - they didn't comment. Our waitress was kind of not good. She disappeared for long periods of time and wasn't very efficient. Good thing we were on leisurely schedule. I would definitely come back. This restaurant had so many other dishes I wanted to try. I went with the Deviled Eggs, the Molten Brie, and my main was the Pork Schnitzel. Now. I was initially disappointed because I previewed the menu online before arriving and was really dead set on the Soft Shell Crab Po' Boy. But when I arrived I found out that the menu online was very outdated, so this is definitely something they need to correct. Flip side, all the food was delicious! Deviled eggs are may favorite and I'm very picky, but I would eat these again! Perfect flavor, not sweet, definitely taste the mustard and the piece of crispy prosciutto on top made it that much more delicious! Molten Brie - I'm not typically a brie fan, but the honey and huckleberries just made it perfect. It comes out in a little log like roll because it's wrapped in phyllo dough. Perfect, gave it a little texture difference that made it that much better! Pork Schnitzel - Well seasoned. It was a little dry. They put a little bit of gravy, the spaetzle and then the braised red cabbage on top. It was good, but I felt the presentation outweighed the taste. It definitely needed more gravy for how much breading was on the pork, or less breading maybe? The spaetzle was a little overcooked and hard as well. It was good, but I've had Schnitzel in Germany and I might be biased. I would try it again, maybe it was an off night. TIP: Get there early! Exceptional experience! The corn ribs were truly one of the tastiest appetizers I've had in years. We also had a delicious charcuterie, the Hipster burger, New England Clam Chowder with bacon, and the Scottish Salmon Mignon with a horseradish crust was incredible! Yasss to the view and ambience of Hearth! This new to me place, is not really new at all; we were sure surprised when the hostess said they've been around since 2015. There is really very little that compares to this place in Windsor. The high ceilings complete with wooden beams and roll up garage doors compliment the red brick and warm wooden floors. Some of the artwork is for sale and the subdued colors work well with the gorgeous view of Lake Windsor to the North. There are three ways to get to this second floor restaurant: an elevator, platform stairs, and super get-straight-to-it steep stairs, this reminds me of a choose your own adventure kind of place, right from the start. Due to its popularity, you are going to wish they took reservations, but according to their website only parties of eight or more get that privilege. No matter what you like in the way of bites, the menu has you covered! The 3 meat and 2 cheese board is quite well prepared, but I felt bad for the pig skins. They were advertised as Cholula and lime, and had me laughing when they showed up with two dried out lime wedges and two foil packets of sauce that were ridiculously difficult to open. I wished they had either made a dipping sauce or gave us the Cholula bottle. They did have savory good Brussel Sprouts with lots of bacon. I ordered a rum and coke which had zero fizz and little ice, maybe I should have asked for a new drink, but I'm not like that. It almost felt like an old drink which had been left sitting out all night. The service was good and the music was great! A nice night out is what you get when you come here. Good to note that the balcony patio has a great view of the lake, but also the street below. Loud motorcycles and trucks were noticeable. The train had stopped traffic for a bit and the fumes from the traffic waiting below drifted up to where we were sitting. read more

I have never had a bad experience here. The food is amazing and we have tried it all. Love the Shrimp, deviled eggs tapas, the brie is amazing, all the pizzas are great but the margherita and taco are our favorite. When it is nice out the patio is a great place to look out over the lake. Drinks are good and even more important during Covid they have taken great measures to make you feel safe. If you're a foodie, this isn't the place to go. The atmosphere outside in the shade is nice, but it would be nicer if there were actual regular tables outside instead of high-top bar tables. Lots of "community tables" inside as well, which isn't the nicest choice for anyone who'd like a private conversation during dinner. For a restaurant that charges this much, I just think these are lazy choices. On to the food. The deviled eggs were OK- nothing special about them. Olives are olives- can't really screw those up. The Brie appetizer is pretty good, but there weren't enough crackers to last the group, and there was still a good deal of cheese left. My Roasted Chicken entree was sort of confusing- the top of the skin came out fried, bubbly and crispy, so I ended up cutting it off. The chicken was also dry and tasteless, not seasoned at all. A side of ranch is highly recommended here. The grits were also disappointingly tasteless. There was no salt on the table, either. For dessert, we shared the Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet and the Creme Brulee. You would think the cookie would come in a skillet with a nice helping of ice cream. Instead, there was a small rectangular strip of cookie with a dollop of ice cream. Sort of puny. The creme brûlée was just OK- again, kind of tasteless. I feel bad for folks living in Windsor. Chimney Park is delicious but overpriced and pretentious, and Hearth is just plain bland. Head over the highway into Fort Collins, and there are a ton of delicious options for dinner! read more

The food and the service were both mediocre. It was a Saturday night early dinner with my wife, and the tables were so close together you didn't feel like you could have a private conversation. I got a locally-known draft beer (Sad Panda), and was surprised when I only got 8 ounces in a dainty little "tulip glass". Even at happy hour prices it was overpriced for how much I got. The server tended to just plunk items onto the table and let my wife and I do the distribution. My wife ordered an appetizer, clearly just for her, and our server handed it to me when it arrived. My reuben sandwich was below average compared to reubens I've gotten in many other restaurants. The fries were past their prime, and I didn't finish them. My wife had some leftover pizza to take home, and the server came with a large box that was hard to manage given our very small table and how closed in we were on both sides with other occupied tables very close to us. The server did not assist us in this awkward endeavor, but quickly disappeared off to another table. There are many much better restaurants in our area for ambiance, food quality, and service than this place. I don't think we'll be coming back. read more

Disclaimer: I was with great company. This is clean and chic restaurant. It is on the second floor on the historical downtown/lake section. It has plenty of outdoor seating and inside is more seating along with a bar section. The sever was attentive to detail and was well-informed of the menu items. Food was delivered hot and was appeasing to the eye. I chose the penne pasta :chef whip-up" and was not dissatisfied. Never have to ask for water as they have a crafe-fillef sitting in the table. love this place, I have become a regular there when I am in town which is usually every other week. I have tried almost everything on the menu. The Brussels Sprouts and Scampi are my favorite small plates. The pies well what's better than watching your pie get tossed and thrown in the wood fire oven right in front of you. Ive had the pork and corn and the shifoso (probably spelled it wrong) its capers, olives, white anchovy and so tasty, definitely a favorite. I have yet to leave there hungry. We ordered takeout during the restaurant shutdown. I have to say the food was the best we had ordered out during the entire takeout only time. All the restaurants we normally really like did not do a great job with takeout. The Hearth make it very easy to pickup the food. They set up a tent with employees that would go and get food and bring to our car. Can't wait to eat in the restaurant again, but this provided a perfect option for great food. This was the worst experience for take out if ever had.They don't take phone orders and had to order at the bar behind people who were waiting for cocktails. . After being told it would take 10-15 minutes, the pizzas came out in 10 minutes and the rest of the order in 45. Needless to say our pizzas were ice cold. When I said something to the manager he said that's why we don't do take out! Most ridiculous excuse if ever heard from a restaurant manager. Just tell People We don't do take out. Nothing about this restaurant was good. We waited a half hour for our food only for our order to be wrong. Our waitress took our order and never came back to our table until she gave us the bill. We sat near the pizza oven area which was bizarre. A bunch of young men working, yelling, eating food, throwing food at each other, etc. and then touching everyone's food. I really enjoy this restaurant. Windsor needs more restaurants like this one. It's always busy so this town clearly needs it. The atmosphere is fun and the view of the lake is pretty. The food is affordable and tasty with a really good variety of options. The happy hour is decent. I really enjoy the bisque. I wish it were served with a crostini or something but that is just me being particular. You can't go wrong with their pizza. It's fresh and you can eat quite a bit without feeling gross and full. I'd have given 5 stars but their dessert options were just meh. We had the apple popover and it was nothing too special. I have been here several times and the food is pretty good. Really my only critique is that they could set the AC higher, it can get pretty warm with the pizza ovens. So we were in on a Thursday night, Connor was our waiter.. and he was hands down the most attentive and kind waiter I have had in years. I ordered, and proceeded to get a terrible stomachs ache. I asked for a box because I didn't think I would be able to eat and Connor immediately offered to try and help - by providing a ginger ale. This was the best ginger ale I had ever had, and I tell him thinking man you're a miracle worker, then he tells me it's actually a drink called a bar ginger because they didn't actually have any ginger ale and he wanted to help. So he mixed ginger beer, Sierra Mist, and a splash of bitters. He was just so helpful and knowledgeable about the food and drinks he was delivering that I will definitely be back to hearth. read more
