Came here for brunch and it was soooo delicious!!! We got the Ethiopian breakfast and a couple other dishes to split. Our favorite was the Ethiopian breakfast!! Shared two entrees among three people and we were stuffed afterwards!! Both meals were deliciously spiced and the injera was super soft, slightly tangy and made for the perfect utensil. It's one of my favorite breakfasts I have had in a while! The owner came out to clear dishes on the patio and talked to everyone out there to ensure we were enjoying our food. What a hidden gem! Came here at the recommendation of a friend. There is outside seating, but the weather was cold and a bit rainy so we stayed indoors. Fully loaded inside! Reminded me of a convenience store. There's two big tables and two bar areas that can seat about 12 people, though it is quite stuffed. Menu on the wall. We ordered and found a seat for the food to be brought to us. The chai green tea latte was to dieeeee for and was perfection on a cold day. I still think about it! My French toast sandwich was larger than expected and very delicious! So glad they have various meat and vegetarian options throughout their menu. Hash browns had a great crunch. My friend and I came here for brunch this past Saturday and it's super packed with a decently long line. But it's worth it! There's not much seating indoors (mostly bar-style options) but there's a sizable patio outdoors if weather permits. The service is fast, responsive, and friendly despite how busy the cafe was. VEGI/VEGAN ETHIOPIAN PLATTER - 16.99 This is not the "breakfast" option but it was perfect for brunch! This platter was very large and definitely something I could split into at least 2 meals (which I did - lots of leftovers, lol). They give you a lot of injera here, which was soft and spongy (and delicious). The four vegetables that came along with it were super tasty with various different seasonings! I enjoyed the chickpeas the most because of the texture, haha. The red lentils, cabbage, and spinach were tasty, too. My only quip is that the vegetables were a bit too salty and oily than I'd prefer, but you can just eat lots of injera with it to "fix" that issue. Overall, I'd highly recommend this platter - even if you have a big appetite, you'd be very full from all of it! My friend got the ETHIOPIAN STYLE BREAKFAST PLATTER (W/ SAMBOSA) and that was super tasty as well. It is definitely smaller than my platter, but she really enjoyed hers and had lots of leftovers, as well. We'd definitely recommend going out of your comfort zone and trying the Ethiopian options here instead of the usual American breakfast sandwiches/options that you can get anywhere else. I absolutely love this cute, family owned neighborhood diner on Georgia Avenue. Don't be overwhelmed by the menu as soon as you walk in. They are also very pleasant in here. The restaurant itself seemed very tight and compact, and although there was restrooms, they both were marked as "out of order". Since I ordered delivery, I can't comment on the restaurant's ambiance, yet. The sandwich was very filling; it seemed they used several eggs, which I appreciated given it's $12 price tag. I would have liked a bit more seasoning, but I don't mind adding some of my own when ordering food. I am completely amazed by how this small storefront is able to put forward such a great variety of delicious food. You can get anything from classic American-style breakfast (think BEC sandwich, pancakes, waffles) to authentic Ethiopian dishes. It was my first time here so I got the Ethiopian breakfast (eggs scrambled with onion, green peppers with injera and Sambosa). Of course, it was mind-blowingly delicious. The texture was unlike any scrambled eggs I've ever had - tiny curds that I almost didn't realize it was eggs. The flavor was out of this world and have a serious kick. Make sure to get their green secret sauce - it made everything taste even better. The Sambosa was another flavor bomb - hot and crispy, packed with lentils. The restaurant is family-run but the service is very quick and the staff are the sweetest people on earth.
