Met fellow yelper Philip N. here for lunch. Neither of us knew they took reservations for lunch, so we were walk-ins a d sat in the heated tent outside. I think I actually preferred that! They had it so toasty and provided blankets as well. There were so many good looking choices for food, but I ended up getting the buddha bowl. It was just perfect. Lots of veggies, tofu, and pesto sauce was so flavorful. I also got a Dram sparkling water and I have to find where I can get that in a store. Would easily be my new favorite sparkling water. Service was also quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend a stop here!

Great local neighborhood restaurant for breakfast or lunch! Menu options include something for everyone. We dined after 1 and breakfast was still available. Our choices were burgers and tots, beet salad, a roasted beet bowl and a baked desert to go. All of the food was well prepared, attractive and very tasty. Generous portion sizes left everyone with extra to take home. Service was helpful, fast and friendly. Seating and decor were fun and helped maintain the neighborhood feel. There is a large, comfy, heated tent out the back door that more than doubles seating capacity. It was being decorated in a ski chalet theme the day we were there, it would be fun to go back to see the result. Parking and access were easy. Definitely a place to give a try for good food and fun.

I've wanted to try this place for a while now. Multiple friends rave about the food here. Today I went with my friend to catch up. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and a raspberry lemonade. The lemonade was so fresh and tasty. The buffalo chicken sandwich was also very tasty and flavorful. Our server was attentive and helpful. We sat outside in the heated tent. It was so comfy, cozy and cute. Can't wait to try more from their menu in the future!

Went here for a brunch with a large group on the patio and they did a great job accommodating us! It was very loud so just a heads up if you are looking for a quieter place. The food was amazing! I had the shakshuka and it didn't disappoint! Everyone seemed very happy with their dish! I will say the splitting of the bill at the end seemed stressful and we did let the waitress know who's splitting what in the beginning. Would have been nice if they told us up from plaiting is hard with a larger group or told us how we can help make it easier on them. Not a bad thing just felt very disorganized and took over a half hour for bills to come out due to confusion.

First time here. We were in the area for a bike ride along the Minnehaha Parkway and met some friends for lunch. Didn't really get to see much of the inside since we got a table behind the restaurant under the tent. It was a nice day to be outside. A little windy and chilly, but not an issue if you had a jacket. The place was busy, and at times people were waiting to get seated. We had a 12:45 reservation and got seated right away. We were given waters and menus, and we were so busy talking that the server had to come back several times before we made our decisions (thanks for the patience!). Our group ended up ordering the Poke Bowl, Avocado Toast with Fried Eggs, Teriyaki Salmon Bowl, and Blackened Salmon with Dilly Ranch. It didn't take long for the food to come out (though we wouldn't have noticed since we were still talking). Everything was the right temperature, nicely presented, and good portions. Everyone was really happy with their choices -- except for mine. The salad part was good, but the Blackened Salmon was overcooked and dried out. It had good flavor, just cooked too long. Overall, a decent experience. I'd be interested in dining inside the building next time. The service the entire time was very attentive. But I'd definitely stay away from the Blackened Salmon.

My friends and I wanted to kill some time and get a late lunch before our flight and I found this charming spot. Plenty of outdoor seating, which was tented. It all felt very cozy and relaxing. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and provided my little 10lb dog a big bowl of water. We weren't super hungry so we shared the local goat cheese with figs, prosciutto, pistachio, honey & garlic crostini and the summer vegetable sautee with garlic butter and parm. Even though both appetizers were a little on the pricey side, it was really delicious and gourmet! The vegetables were cooked and seasoned to perfection and the goat cheese combined with micro greens and sweetness from the fig and honey was a party in my mouth. We also got extra slices of crostini which was much appreciated. I also got a cappuccino and a Budapest muffin with sour cream frosting. Coffee and a sweet treat always hits the spot! So glad we stumbled upon this place and perfect that it's just a 10 minute drive from the airport. Would love to come back again next time I'm in town to try their teriyaki salmon bowl!

Love the atmosphere. The service was outstanding, the severs are soooo nice. And foods - I think the portion is perfect, taste was great. My salmon BLT feel little dry, a bit more sauce would be better. Fries are the best of all. It's so crispy and tasty. Love it.

Came here on Pride to grab a post / pre celebration brunch and oh my gosh.. it did NOT DISAPPOINT! We had a reservation for 5 and upon arrival, it was all set and ready to go, a perfect table right up at the front and by the window. Our waitress was absolutely incredible, rolled with all of our crazy orders (we ordered TONS of drinks) and she came promptly with all of them and was so sweet and kind to us! I got the bloody mary with sake and oh my gosh.. I drank like 3 of them. So good, so light, fresh, and delicious! I ordered the salmon bowl (made my salmon blackened) and oh my goodness.. all of the ingredients were fresh, perfectly cooked, light, and above all, quality! We ended up thanking the manager and she was so kind and courteous to us (we were a rowdy yet fun) table! When I get brunch, this is what I want my experience to be every single time! Amazing ambiance, food, drinks, and company! Will be back here!

Yes, the reviews are correct. Heather's is straight out awesome. Stopped by to get some take out. The building (and outside tent) are perfect. Airy, open, just a very clean appearance, and I don't mean it was swept well (although it was). Looking forward to going there and eating in with my beloved. We ordered the BLT and the Cubano. Heaven. Super luxe bacon, monster tomato slice, just perfect. And the Cubano, while not exactly a Miami (or Tampa) Cuban, far better than any other cuban I have had up North. Staff were very pleasant, even though it was a jumping evening. I stopped for a glass of wine at the bar (10 seats?) and was happy with their wine selection. Not huge, but with some nice selections that are not super common. Overall, one of the best experiences I have had.

Visited 10/23/25. Back at Heather's and it's always somewhere I recommend to others. I got the daily special and I highly appreciate that Heathers always rotates their menu and their specials. It gives everything a fresher feel and makes Heather's stand out from other places. Service is always solid-never been to Heather's and had it not be solid. They do a great job at listening to customers and adjusting accordingly. I got the curry special which was very good with shrimp, but if I were to order again I would lean towards my go to of the salmon BLT. My friends got the teriyaki salmon bowl and one isn't a fish fan so our waited kindly substituted chicken for her instead. Overall, a great experience as per usual.

Really cute Minneapolis gem! Super fun for brunch and really fun light atmosphere, and the people that work here are really nice and believe in what they're doing. There is a tremendous amount of parking on the street easy access. Also pedestrians can literally "walk up" and get immediate service through the special sliding window! Highly recommend! I love the food and I can't wait to go back again. Next time I'm gonna be sure to order french fries !

Heather's was delicious! I came here over the weekend when I was visiting friends in Minnesota. The avocado toast was great, the bread was really tasty and the egg and avo was very fresh. I also ordered a mimosa which was super bubbly and yummy! The waitress was really sweet and the overall vibes of the place were welcoming and beautiful! I loved all of the decor, especially the plants at the front. This is a sit down restaurant, but they have an area in the front with various to-go and pre-packages items. I left with a bottle of their garlic hot sauce!

The food is pretty good and they opened shortly before the COVID19 situation began. They've been handling it with grace and gratitude towards the neighborhood. They have a website and take-out is pretty easy/straightforward. We've been waiting for something in the old Mario's location for a long time and we were not disappointed. Give them a try...you won't be disappointed either. read more

Went to Heather's for lunch with my mom after walking around Lake Nokomis! So glad we did. It has amazing, quality food. The menu has something for everyone, multiple items sounded yummy. The outdoor patio was beautiful & the service was great :) Would recommended to everyone! read more

All our entrees were amazing! I had the grilled teriyaki salmon over coconut rice with avocado cooked to perfection!! My husband had the ribs. Delicious! They were also able to safely accommodate our GF and vegetarian requests. All 4 of our PRICEY desserts from the chocolate carmel cake to the GF cookies were disappointing which is the reason for the 4 stars. Dinner was pricey but worth it. So definitely go just skip the desserts! read more

I stumbled upon Heather's today looking for lunch during my work trip to MN. I was greeted so kindly even though I really think I walked into the wrong door. Lol. Both the hostess and owner accommodated me even though I didn't order ahead nor had a reservation. I asked for recommendations and chose the salmon bowl- DELISH. Everyone was genuinely kind. So so happy this has opened in our neighborhood! It is so cute inside and a good amount of tables. The Buddha bowl was amazing - will definitely be a regular for me. One of the BEST meals I've ever had was here at Heathers! This was my first visit & I'll definitely be back for more. The 'Seared Flank Steak Salad' was absolutely incredible...REALLY flavorful, refreshing & a surprisingly large portion, which was delightful for something so yummy, as I'm alittle piglet! I also had the 'Buratta, Grilled Asparagus & Crostini' appetizer which blew my socks off. SO flavorful... I can't find adequate words. Unfortunately I was sharing the appetizer w/ a friend but next time I'm getting my own. My friend had the 'Spring Salad w/ Grilled Salmon' & she too said it was AMAZING. We've both been craving our salads again...and I added both the salad & the appetizer to my 'if I'm ever on death row, i want this for my last meal' file. read more

Great place and atmosphere, the staff is amazing and the attention is impeccable. All drinks and desserts are exceptional. However, I been there 3 times this summer, and my choices of food have been disappointing, I ordered a "shrimp ceviche" and it was loaded with corn (yes corn!) and it had less than 5 pieces of shrimp. They might as well call it "Corn Ceviche." I don't remember my last salad, but it was not good either. I will stop by again and try their pasta; I have heard there are really good. - You should try this place. read more

Off to a great start! My friend and I had the orzo salad, the tuna salad, the broccoli, the beet salad and the curried chicken. We split the amazing butterscotch pudding and a chocolate chip cookie. Yum! It's a little chaotic but I'm sure things will smooth out once they have been open longer! read more

We are pumped to have a cafe in the neighborhood and super excited about what Heather's is offering now during their soft open - and more excited about what will evolve when they are fully open! We got the open breakfast sandwich ($10 and comes with one fried egg, I wish I had ordered the extra egg for $1.50) and the scrambled eggs with bacon ($9), plus a croissant. Croissant was worth walking over for every morning. We sat at the bar and in doing so got a peek at their wine list and learned they will have happy hour once they are fully open - menu/pricing their tbd it sounds like. Will be back! read more

Heather's is just such an amazing spot. We've ordered takeout a several times and dined in the covered patio a few times. We are always so impressed with the food and service. Ordered burgers all around tonight and everything came out wonderful! My burger was a perfect medium. How?! How is takeout this good!? They always accommodate requests like mustard instead of Mayo or onion strings on the side. Orders are on time and easy to do online. Also the sauce that comes with the tots, wow I wish I had that recipe. Let's keep this neighborhood gem going: takeout, dine in, ice cream from the window go for it all! read more

Great neighborhood gem. Heathers is a place you will go back to again and again...the food is consistently delicious no matter what you order off the menu. The food in the deli is fresh and great for a quick healthy to go order. The restaurant has clean lines and fabulous wine selection. The to go options are delicious...i can't say enough about this place. Eat here, you will not be disappointed at all...it's delicious and a true staple for the neighborhood. read more

Had a lovely dinner at Heather's for 'date night'! I had the Stone Fruit Salad w/Shrimp and she had Salmon BLT. The shrimp was grilled to perfection, flavorful and tender. Of course I wish there were more peaches in the salad - but that is just me! My SO only ate half of her Salmon BLT b/c the salmon portions were so generous. Numerous glasses of Vouvray and Chardonnay accompanied by the Beef Egg Rolls w/horseradish aioli was incredible!! Service was definitely overwhelmed. Better at the start and deteriorated as we approached 9 pm. Can't wait to see how this place develops over time! read more

This place is amazing. Truly the best food I have had in a very long time (and we've been eating take out more frequently during Covid than our prior routine). Was with family so I was able try a number of dishes. Everything was spectacular. The patio is charming. Tables are well spaced, everyone masked. Next time we will bring our dog since there is enough space between tables such that it wouldn't feel intrusive to other guests. We tried the brussel sprouts, Corsica salad, steak salad, Buddha bowl and chicken papillard. All excellent. Also did soft serve and butterscotch pudding for dessert. Seriously would love to go here every night. Also the price points are super reasonable. read more

I usually just grab my stuff to go since seating is limited when it's busy. It's a great spot to stop in for a sweet treat or quick snack throughout the day.

But they have a whole bunch of interesting coffee and tea options. I also had a hot item that was pretty good. They have a heater that looks like something from a convenience store, and there are hot offerings in there like the flatbread-esque thing I had. It did actually taste quite good, but I think if they are serious about hot items they could manage a better presentation. There are compelling selections in that little box. The pastries I bought were absolutely delicious. Again kind of pricey, but the quality is immediately noticeable and I will 100% be back for some of those things. And I'll probably try some coffees & teas in the future.

To go with it I also ordered the pommes puree with garlic gravy - it's as good as it sounds which is VERY GOOD. To go with my steak I paired it myself with a Montepulciano red - one i am very familiar with and paired nicely with the steak and puree. To wrap things up I am a sucker for an Olive Oil cake - theirs was really good. Doesn't beat my all time favorite at a place near me in my hometown, but this one had a nice fruit element different than the typical berries I am used to going with it. I brunched at Heather's in south Minneapolis recently on a Sunday, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The interior is absolutely adorable, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The location is also lovely and adds to the overall experience. I ordered the field burger, and it was fantastic! The flavors were on point, and the quality of the ingredients really shone through. I also indulged in a side of tots, which were the perfect complement to the meal. What's more, I found the prices to be very reasonable, especially for a Sunday brunch outing. Staff were welcoming and helpful as well! Overall, I had a wonderful time at Heather's and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful brunch experience in south Minneapolis. The staff was very strange about the tables and seating. When I tried to sit at a table that was in the sun before they had cleared it, I was basically yelled at by one of the staff to move away from the table so they could clean it. I asked if I can I have it once it's cleaned and she would not reply and about a minute later once it was clean, they tried to sit another party there. Turned out my friend had a reservation anyway.
