Run, don't walk, to one of the yummiest gelato spots I've ever been to! Heaven on a Spoon is literally JUST that. The flavors are delightful and concentrated and the fruit ones taste like actual real fruit, none of that powdered stuff. They also have a large variety of flavors, definitely something for everyone! The owner was so nice and pleasant to our group too. So if you like dessert and wanna cool off, I highly recommend going to Heaven on a Spoon to enjoy a nice refreshing cup of gelato. Mmm Thanks Jefferson for showing me this spot. I got Nutella and maple pecan flavor. DELISH!!!! My friend got cantaloupe and mascarpone flavor and it was also yummy!

Such an UNDERRATED place! I love the ice cream, it tastes exactly like I'm back in Italy. It's the right consistency, not super sweet, and full of fresh flavors. Visit and you won't regret it!

This place is really good, Natural flavors. They have lots of dairy free options unlike some places that have 2-3 options (or nothing at all. We ended going 3 times in a week. The reason why I had to give it 4 stars was that we came in the first time on a Sunday and noticed a tray on the counter above the gelato was dirty. We figured maybe they had pastries on it that day and had been left out. Came back 2-3 days later and the tray was surprised to see the tray was still there. Went back in the 3rd time making it 1 full week and the tray was still out. So I couldn't believe that was left out dirty for at least a week but who knows how long it has been there.

Who doesn't like gelato? It is so satisfying, especially since we've hit those 110 temps outside! I stopped by yesterday afternoon with my family. All the gelato flavors looked so good! They also have cannoli shells for the gelato and regular filling. I ordered a piccolo (small) of the dark chocolate, tiramizu, and pistachio. This combination was awesome and was a great combination for me. The dark chocolate was exactly the right amount of bitter and melted really well with the other two. The pistachio was also amazing, and I highly recommend that one! My husband wanted to order The Sunny (layered lemon and cheesecake with crunchy gigglits and whip cream), but they were all out of the cheesecake. Instead, he also got a piccolo of maple pecan, lemon, and pineapple. The lemon and pineapple were very zesty and refreshing! My biggest regret was not ordering cannolis to go, but there's always next time. Great spot in Mesa!

Gelato I believe, Tasted regular ice cream to me, but was good, nice selection for types of ice cream or gelato.. maybe mine was just ice cream idk. I got mint and chip, kids got bday cake and Oreo I tried both they were fine, bf got vanilla. It's was good for a quick fix after panda next door. The front guy was nice he let me in on the Spivey seasonings what they were for and gave us samples, they were different I've never heard of it but seems it's a specialty for some, sweet and spicy, I don't do spicy but wasnt to spicy the sweet ice cream balances it out. There's few couples seating inside and seemed clean. Just quick vibe for cold bite.

We stopped here on Saturday night for some Gelato. There was one employee working and he was helping out a couple before us so we waited in line for our turn. Once our turn, the employee happily let us try out as many samples as we wanted. He was very friendly and outgoing. We ended up ordering 3 small sizes and one medium size. The flavors we ordered consisted of: Sweet Cream, Oreo, Pistachio, Coconut, Strawberry, and Strawberry Banana. All the flavors were great! The gelato was creamy, flavorful, and rich. My favorite: COCONUT! I will definitely be back again soon as we all had a great experience. The employee was awesome, the gelato was really good, and prices are reasonable. Thank you

1st time here. Had to try it based on reviews. I usually stick with ice cream, but once in awhile I'll do gelato. Glad I did. I had the dark taco but had the Arachelatta added. Wow was it good! Large portion too. Service good and they give a military discount. I'll be back.

Heaven On a Spoon 1950 E University Dr Ste 102, Mesa AZ 85203 August 21, 2022 Sunday - 6 PM for a treat 2 Adults Atmosphere - 5 stars Food - 5 stars Service - 5 stars Background - We just finished dinner and my wife wanted a sweet treat. I have a bunch in a Yelp collection. Atmosphere - Like most ice cream shops it is tiny, and located in a strip mall. The seating is limited. Food - I had a small cup with two flavors. Cheesecake was screaming at me to have it, then raspberry was a nice compliment to it. It was so silky smooth. If you would have put that on a bed of graham cracker crust I would have sworn it was a perfect cheesecake. I want more now!! Service - Oops we walked it at closing time. I normal avoid this. We asked the lady that was serving a super nice customer if we were good, clearly we were or there be no review. She quickly served us, I paid and reward her with a good tip. Future - If I am in the area, I try to have another treat from here.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. Now, onto my order- a bagel and iced tea. The iced tea was great, no comments, and the bagel was absolutely delicious! There is also a nice parking garage accessible via the alleyway between buildings under the apartments (see photo). Atmosphere 5/5 This is a One-off small business cute cafe rating. There is season appropriate seating curbside in front on Main Street. Today we enjoyed our takeout dessert in front it was such a neat overcast day. On the inside there are item for sale on small wall shelves in the dining room and freezer refrigerators giving it a small town vibe. There are approximately 6-8 tables for eat in service. As the summer temperatures arrive these tables will become even more in demand. This is a quaint Gluten Free eatery with a nice selection offered in menu. Service 5/5 This is a take menu to table, decided then return to counter to order. Orders are delivered to your table. Helping us today was Paula. She was the ambassador to the restaurant who welcomed us immediately. She asked if we've been in before and once we responded no, she thoughtfully walked us through everything including the Gluten Free information. Food 5/5 Both of us were hungry for breakfast and we were ready for this new experience. Coffee was severed in large and individually unique cups. Coffee was nice. 4-Eats we ordered for inside service; a powdered sugar Waffle and I ordered their biscuits and sausage gravy. Sides were two eggs over easy and two sausage patties for additional protein. Desert were two oatmeal cookie pies the we enjoyed curbside in front. Our breakfast choices were fantastic. For mine I ordered too much because the sausage in the gravy would have been sufficient due to their generous serving size. I will order the same thing less the two Patties. Desert 5/5 Our picks were delicious and will require another extra 30 minutes in the gym! $67.90 includes generous tip for excellent service! If you're in the Downtown Mesa area put "Against the Grain" on your list of places to eat. Eat well my friends-SYOY!

If all avocado toasts were like this, I don't know why anyone would choose something else! The sourdough bread was lightly toasted but not so stiff that it scraped up my mouth. Tried the strawberry colada mimosa as it was the special of the month. I only tasted champagne with hint if strawberry no coconut. Name felt slightly misleading. Food: I got the banana foster French toast - this was really good not to sweet, nice crunchy ends with soft middle. Per usual no combo for French toast so a side of bacon was $4 and so are potatoes. They do offer a platter for $7 but it includes eggs which i did not want. We ordered side of chicken it needed seasoning bad. Service was okay I feel our waitress tried to connect with us but she was a little awkward. Slightly overpriced for food that is pretty simple in my opinion.

As a health food vegan, I am always on the lookout for food like this: whole foods/plant-based, including some oil-free options. Their whole menu reads like a list of my favorite food buzzwords: buckwheat, lentil cauliflower scramble, sunflower seed meat, local fermented sauerkraut, freshly milled Sonoran wheat; tempeh, sourdough, homemade seeded bread, homemade cashew milk, etc. etc. It was legitimately hard to decide what to get. I went with the baked(!) strawberry banana oat buckwheat pancakes. Super tasty, and a generous portion.
