Amazing!!! I was new to this whole NY bagel thing.... so we found this little gem on our way home from the gym and boy was it time to carb up!!! We arrived around 1050am, which was fine for me because the bagel I would ask for had a ton left... however, that wasnt the case for the rest. If you want a wide selection- go earlier! They sell out FAST! So after looking at the menu I went with the Special #1 -A bagel with egg and cheese that comes with a coffee (very good coffee) and OJ all for $3.65!!!! I added boars head Turkey as well as their homemade lox spread and changed the egg to an egg white. I got all this on their Everything bagel. OH MY GOOOOODNESS , it was amazing! I truly think, the best bagel combo I have ever had. The freshness, flavors, etc of everything was so savory! The price was unbelievable and the girls working behind the counter were so sweet and helpful! If I am ever in the area again, I WILL definitely be coming back!!! Awful service and awful bagels. Please note, we went later in the day so this was definitely a factor in our experience. Location and Ambiance: Location was solid, and ambiance was great! Very good bagel place in a nondescript shopping strip. They don't scrimp on the cream cheese or butter like some places. My daughter loves lox, not just lox spread, and they loaded the bagel with them. Bagels have that nice chewy outside and soft texture inside. What more can you ask for. Only reason why 4 not 5 stars is that they did not give a lot of bacon on the egg and bacon sandwich. read more

Went on here three since I posted and its the same routine. The bagels and food are decent but the girls who work there seem extremely miserable like they hate their jobs. There was one exception one time the girl who helped me was very cheerful And she was making friendly convo I wish I would've gotten her name. I can't believe heavenly only has 3 stars. This has been my go-to bagel spot my whole life and they have barely changed in 20+ years which I find charming. Just come and be patient, the food is always delicious, cooked as ordered. The bagels are soft and doughy and tasty and cream cheeses are sooo yummy with a good selection of both bagels and smears. just come early bc they always have a long line and tend to sell out quick of the popular everything/egg bagels. There's always a brigade of teens working the counter and they are well trained, respectful and everyone is always nice. I'm pretty sure it's still cash only. Worst place ever. Ordered 6 sandwiches and all of them were wrong and had no egg on them what so ever. This place use to be so good. But my business will go else where. Have to love that there is a sign on the door face mask required and when I go in there is a customer with no mask with 4 workers behind the counter. If you are not going to enforce a face mask don't put a sign up. Thank you for protecting your other customers health. Everyone wants the governor to open up but you have these few people who refuse to follow a basic rule to wear a mask to protect the people around them. This local bagel store has the most delicious bagels I have ever had. I bring them to work and people go nuts for them. They do not take credit cards, so be sure to have cash with you. The egg salad is delicious, and the vegetable cream cheese is also a favorite in my house. They have good lunch specials that include a pickle and coke slaw,!mac salad or potato salad. I have always found the staff to be friendly and very fast. They run like a well-oiled machine. They open early which is a plus. Definitely a neighborhood favorite. read more

Some guy was cursing and shouting on his phone right next to the register but then the woman behind the counter was rude to me when I said something about it. Yet another disappointment. Incompetence is just rampant today. I asked for a bacon, egg, and Cheese with only ketchup. I got BEC with salt and pepper, no ketchup! And then the girl looks at me like" this is how we made it. Do you want me to put ketchup on it?" Lucky I was in a hurry or I would have told her to make another one without salt and pepper. I also asked for 4 bagels extra butter. What part of extra don't you understand? If I had only said "buttered bagel" I still would have been upset with the amount of butter on the bagels. The butter was nonexistent. These girls clearly don't care. The bagels themselves were OK. Nothing to write home about, definitely not worth dealing with the incompetence. If you do decide to go here, check your order before you leave or expect to be disappointed. read more

The bagels are the best around my neighborhood. The biggest problem I have with this place is the attitude of their staff and the lack of respect they have for their customers. I do not mind waiting on the line for ten minutes for my bagel. It is when you get to the front and you have to deal with the attitude of these two nasty girls who never smile, barely talk and don't listen. I understand it is fast paced, chaotic and busy. The place is small but if I am going to give you business I expect to be treated with respect. When I say light cream cheese on my bagel, I don't want to come home with enough cream cheese to go on two other bagels as well. This happens repeatedly. I have seen them get orders wrong which occasionally happens,but blame the customer for not listening when they yell out the order. I actually called once to complain, and was pacified. Reason being they don't need my business to survive. I can't believe that I am the only one who feels this way. It kills me to go in there but like I said, good bagels are hard to come by here. I've been coming here since I was a kid and always loved there bagels and egg sandwiches. The three stars is for the food only the customer service is severely lacking I came in about 1230 1 asking if they were still making egg sandwiches the girl behind the counter said yes so I ordered my sandwiches as she's making them she very loudly started complaining about making them to the other employees. It made me feel very uncomfortable I don't need to give your business my money I choose to. You need to talk to your staff and teach them a thing or two on customer service. read more

Bagels are good...egg sandwich quality depends on who makes it....bagels don't last more than a day rock hard by next morning....I like places that give half price bagels at a certain time this place does not...:guess they just waste and throw away....customer service not that great!! Very good place for bagels but consistently gets your order wrong. I'm a loud talker so for someone to not hear me has to either be not listening or an airhead. I regularly go here but one day my bagel won't be toasted, another day the bagel they give me is wrong or they put on the wrong cream cheese. It's mainly about the bagels, which are average. That's not to say they're not good, but I can't offer any raves about them. Average, pleasant, satisfying. The staff is easy going, even during morning rush times. Coffee and tea selections are basic, and there are a few booths to sit in. Decor: let's not talk about the decor - keep it about the bagels. I've lived in the neighborhood over 15 years, and this is the most convenient place to come to for bagels. Their French toast bagels are especially good. However, that's probably where it ends. Their bagels are usually overdone/ burned on the outside. And almost every time I order some kind of sandwich, they get it wrong. They've only ever gotten it right 3 times out of 15 years- at least a dozen sandwiches. I'll have to drive out a little further for better service, but it might be worth it to just get what I ordered. read more

Stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon as I was in route to an appointment. Its a small shop with friendly employees. Parking was slam packed because its shared with King Kullen supermarket parking. Got a mini-bagel because thats all they had left as far as mini bagels. It was "ok" a little too hard for me, i think it had been out too long. The Ice coffee here is only served black. I'm a regular here because of the bagels. The bagels are very good, the best around in this neighborhood. The service is terrible, new staff is very slow and can't remember an order. You will always be waiting at least 10 minutes for an egg sandwich and depending who is on the grill will determine if you will enjoy it. The staff needs to be trained in customer service and the process needs to be refined to make the place more efficient, they all seem to be bumping into each other. Just got back from my last visit to this bagel store. The reason: terrible service and attitudes. Placed my order and the plain bagels had to be brought from the back. So the counter person took another two orders. After a while I asked where my order was and she replied 'oh it's here'. It was ready and sitting on the back counter. So they ring me up, two cream cheese bagels and two drinks and a bag with a few loose bagels in it. I pay and she says have a nice day and stands there. After 30 seconds I ask for a bag, since I had 5 items and my order was to go I didn't think that was unreasonable. The cashier says I was getting your bag, even though she wasn't and the counter person, under her breath and directly in front of me says 'no patience'. That is right. I have no patience for deplorable service. When my order is ready and my cash is taken and change is made I expect my order bagged up so I can leave. Never again. And cash only. I wonder if NYS sales tax would like to come down and take a look at what goes on. read more
