For a large portion of the massage, my masseuse actually walked on my back -- fully standing and balancing herself using the rails attached to the ceiling (you can see it in the photos I posted). Not just for a quick moment either -- this was a consistent technique throughout the session. I've always said during stressful times that I wish someone would just walk on my back. I didn't think that would literally happen. And honestly, it was exactly what I needed. The pressure was deep but controlled. She shifted her weight carefully and worked directly into my upper back, where I carry most of my tension. It felt intense in the best way. I've only ever seen that style of massage in movies, so experiencing it in real life was pretty surreal. They also incorporated hot stones, which helped everything settle afterward. The room was clean, calm, and comfortable -- simple and relaxing. My mom was in the next room and loved her massage too. What stood out most was how they cared for her. She's legally blind and has some mobility challenges, and they took the time to walk her to the room and make sure she was comfortable before starting. That meant a lot to both of us. For my first two times I've had Samantha and she was great. However, I recently received therapeutic services from Lilly and she was stellar! Based from my experience with Lilly, she did a lot of back walks, which was amazing; basically trampled all over my back and even pressure to my hands and feet. She also performed the thai signature technique "Cobra" (or 'Bhujangasana') which felt super relieving. It opened up my chest and shoulders and improved my spinal mobility. A lot of the Thai massage therapists (not just from here but other Thai massage places) don't perform the 'cobra' on me so Lilly was the first that I got this from. Towards the end she also had my back on top of her knees and basically pushed me upwards to get some cracks in, and mind you, I weigh about 230 pounds so that was very impressive! Some of the other things they do are typical Swedish massage and also has some hot stone application. Other notables: -Parking is pretty small and I believe it's shared in the same complex with the other shops. I went on a Thursday afternoon so it wasn't too bad! -If you pay cash you get a discount! -It's next to a small airport so you may hear jet noises but that didn't really disturb my experience. -Restrooms are on the middle floor (basically half way up their staircase they have a women/men's room) -They do have zen vibes and play some type of peaceful sounds inside; definitely quiet and well-respected atmosphere. -After massage, they offer you either hot tea or water (your choice) Next time, I will surely be back and request for Lilly. Upon attempting to pay with my credit card, the transaction failed, instead of asking if there's another credit card, she bluntly said "Is there money on this card?" I couldn't help but to laugh and had no problem to pay with cash instead. Despite a somewhat awkward check-in, the massage itself was great. The massage is leaned more towards on the rougher side, a combination of hands and elbows.
