Green Beans, burnt ends, Pulled Pork, baked beans

Heavy Smoke BBQ is truly a standout spot in St. Peters. The restaurant is much larger than it looks on the outside and is great for meeting with just a friend or a large group. I must say that the prices are more than reasonable for the amount of food you get. I tried the pulled pork and pulled chicken, both tender and flavorful. The sides deserve their own spotlight--potato salad is my personal favorite, the baked beans and coleslaw hit all the right notes. My brother ordered the burnt ends. Those were another highlight--smoky, rich, and perfectly cooked. They were sold out of brisket when we visited (which says a lot about how good it must be), but that just gives us a reason to come back soon. If you're looking for great BBQ with big flavor and a welcoming vibe, Heavy Smoke is the place. 5/5!

This was some good BBQ! My husband and I came in on a Saturday for lunch and they were busy but it was still quick. When you walk in you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. I got a 2 meat plate with ribs and pulled pork. My husband got 3 meat plate with sausage, pulled pork and burnt ends. All the meat was so good and there wasn't a ton of fat with the pulled pork. They have 4 sauces you can pick from and I really enjoyed the smoked Apple! We got some boxes for our food to take home and they gave us some containers with sauces which I really liked. Overall, staff was friendly and the food was good!

Nice and big restaurant. Order at the counter and the menu is nice and big for you to see which is nice! Food came out fast and was so good!! I got the porkwich (it was pretty big!) and I'd get it again. My husband got the two meat platter with jalapeño cheddar sausage and pulled pork. We got Mac and cheese and tots. Everything was great. They have difference sauce selections that we liked that too. We will be back for sure!!

I was only in St. Louis for the weekend and only had one opportunity to get some proper barbeque that I don't get to have often. This was everything I was hoping for. The ambience, the silver trays with the plastic cutlery, the friendly staff that are just looking to help you out. I got the two meat plate and that was a perfect amount of food. I tried the burnt ends and the brisket, a little sad I didn't go with the jalapeño sausage. The sauces they had out were amazing, really made the meal. I especially like the spicy blueberry, nice and sweet at the start and hits you with a kick at the end. The white cheddar Mac was great, nothing fancy or extra, just good food.

Great bbq place, they have won lots of awards displayed inside , plenty of space inside to sit, you can also carry out , staff was nice and brought our food to you. The meat was tasty and the chips were okay. The glutton was huge with enough o have left overs .

Saw online they had a burrito called the glutton... I had to make a stop and try it out. This thing was HUGE! Deep fried 12 inch tortilla stuffed with brisket, tots, and mac & cheese covered with queso and smokey apple bbq sauce. It was also delicious. I ended up splitting this and a side with the wife and both left satisfied. They have a variety of sauces to try Heavy smoke is a pretty open floor plan with lots of tables. I love that they display all the trophy's they have won over the years. You order at a counter and then they bring you the food. I thought it was nice of the dude bringing our food to ask if we needed an extra tray since we were sharing.

When you walk into the building the first thing I noticed is this place was huge. I didn't expect it to be that big. Then I noticed all the trophies and awards that decorated the walls. They won a plethora of awards for their smoked meat. We ordered our food. She was very nice. We sat down a d they brought the food out to us. My brisket was very tender. I added their sweet BBQ sauce to it. It was great. They didn't have fries. I got their tater tots with a side of queso. Those was good too. There's plenty of parking.

The BBQ brisket is my husbands favorite. It's leaner or better trimmed than others in the area. Great service and it's close.

That alone made me want to walk out but I gave it a chance. Facility: strange as the toilet stall was just a shower curtain and the urinal is clearly visible from outside in the bar. Somewhat clean but just weird. wtf! lol Karaoke on Saturday: kj is great but sound is terrible and overpowering with an emphasis on too much bass. Could very well be the acoustics of the bar as plate glass windows are terrible for live music Sound check means check the whole room for sound quality. The karaoke is an afterthought as this is definitely catering to darts and dart leagues. The karaoke is shoved in the corner with absolutely no place to sing as you end dancing and dodging around or competing for a place to sing and stand. The dart players are sometimes seemingly annoyed as they feel the same about the real estate I'm sure. The whole things screams copy from a box store sports bar. Crowd was eclectic but later in the evening the hood rat ex con element shows up and I promptly left. lol Summary: this bar is on my least favorite underwhelming places to consider. To be fair and objective, I would have to go back as it maybe an off night that I went. I suspect this will be consistently underwhelming. Think outside the box not copy a box store bar chain. If you're going to have live music, singing, etc you may want to consider a sound stage, even a small stage is better but a challenge as there is not much room. Catch22 I think which is why it's a Phil grade of underwhelming. Did not try the food or see anyone eat anything.

So peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect start to our morning! What truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Jenn. She was incredible from start to finish!! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made great recommendations, checked on us at all the right times, and went above and beyond in ways you don't see often. My husband is picky about biscuits and gravy, and Jenn kindly brought him a sample of the gravy first to make sure he'd like it...such a small gesture to some people, but truly made it special for my husband. She even sent us off with coffee to go, which we really appreciated!! The food was just as impressive. I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were nice and crispy, Jenn recommended the ham, which was so flavorful and perfectly charred, so good!!! My husband ended up loving his biscuits and gravy! Between the amazing service, delicious food, and relaxing riverfront setting, this was easily one of our favorite breakfast experiences. Jenn truly made it memorable, and we'll definitely be asking for her every time we come back. Can't wait to return!!

I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We found parking right in front of FPC, mainly because it was a cold, Monday morning. We were greeted immediately, and inside was much smaller than I expected. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu!

It was one of those busy days that requires a Snake Meal and I required tofu. I got a thai wrap with tofu (and chips), quinoa, green tea, veg dumplings, and a green tea. They were promptly delivered by a kid on a bike in the rain in a SEALED plastic bag, so everything was dry and fresh. The wrap came cut in half, I didnt notice until I already ate the butt on one side like a neanderthal. I ordered it just as it comes and it was GREAT. The peanut sauce is powerful.. thick and full of sweet umami flavor. I would have been fine eating just this, ut was def not bunny food. I popped a veg dumpling into the included sauce and oh my god I could have eaten 80 of them. I forgot to chew. Damn good dumpling from a chain. The quinoa falafel was good. Dry, but thats to be expected.. and I had tzaziki and hummus and jalapeno cilantro sauce and dumpling sauce and peanut sauce to make that a non issue. These would be great in a wrap, but they certainly have enough sauces to make this a viable side, appetizer, or entree by themselves. Chips are chips. I was happy to have them to sample the sauces. I liked all of them. I'm feeling pretty fat and happy and will be back for a bowl in the future. I completely shed my previous opinions of the place. Crazy!
