I've been coming here for over 10 years and have always been a loyal customer. Today I came in and bought 18 gallons of alkaline water and two drinks. One of the drinks tasted terrible, so I politely asked if it could be remade. Instead of remaking it, I was told they would just add more ice because they didn't want to waste it. I was so surprised by the response that I didn't even know what to say, so I just took it. Now that I'm home trying to drink it, I'm honestly frustrated. It's still undrinkable and ended up being a waste of $7. After supporting this business for so many years, I expected much better customer service and a simple effort to make it right. read more

The owner was so easy to talk to & gave my friend and I a quick/brief but impressive history of their establishment. It's great to know they've been in business for more than 30 years. There were a few comfy seats to enjoy your treats. They sell water & beverages like hot or cold tea & coffee, as well as merchandise (mugs, jewelry, cards, etc) & some pastries too. Usually I order hot caffeinated beverages but today, smelling the wonderful Hawaiian tea made me want a chilled iced tea-so good! Great experience. I love that they get their coffee beans from Nicaragua and El Salvador then the beans are roasted in the machine and used. The coffee tastes so good and I am definitely coming back. 4/5 stars since the owner was friendly and made our drinks promptly! And who doesn't love a good locally owned small business? I ordered an Iced Mocha with no whipped cream. The drink was too sweet and the espresso got lost with the flavor and milk. Hoping the ratio may be something to be tinkered with. The outside of the shop was renovated and looks very new/nice! Inside had this old-school jazzy coffee shop vibe that makes you want to call coffee "java". Not much seating inside, but an older crowd of regulars chat and catch up. Seems like a nice local spot. This is such a neat shop that I wish I had stopped in here sooner! It's a narrow counter-style coffee shop with some booths and they roast the coffee on site, right at the front of the store, which was cool. They sell a lot of Christian gifts in there, and while I'm not into buying those sorts of gifts, I appreciate the values the owners must have. They made me a great latte and were very friendly. Prices are no more than what you would pay at pretty much any other coffee shop these days, and might even be a little better priced than some. I'll be back, next time with my husband, so he can eagerly watch the coffee being roasted. read more

I visited this place again recently and it's always a pleasant experience. I've had the regular coffee, both flavored, and unflavored, as well as decaf. I've also enjoyed a few of their hot lattes. I find the coffee here, bold, and intense in flavor. It also has a very old school appeal. It's a bit harsh, but not in a bad way. You see, I'm true to coffee when it comes to the extension of flavor, and how it permeates throughout the blend. This is one of those brews where I would know exactly when I want THIS particular coffee. For ME, it's not just your basic, "Let's get coffee," type spot, where you just go to the nearest cafe-it's specific in scope. I've also had the water, and is very good. It tastes clean, and refreshing and doesn't leave an after taste. It's a nice spot, set up in a way in which I feel is reflective of the name, and the character of their brew. We stopped at HeBrews on our way to Palm Desert. My wife wanted a nice cup of cappuccino, and since we are not fans of Starbucks at all, HeBrews stood out as it was just a minute off the 210 Freeway at the Carnelian Street exit. This shop is proudly owned and operated by a lovely couple and their family, who take great pride in their business. They roast and grind their hand-selected coffee beans fresh daily! We loved the small, clean shop that also offers filtered water service, along with cute, hand-picked souvenirs. To be honest, this was one of the best coffee experiences we've ever had. I drove past it twice because they have no name in front. It definitely looks like a family owned business. The merchandise on the shelves are cute and religious themed. Employee working was very friendly. Ordered a medium hot Hawaiian passion tea (decaffeinated) and asked for sugar cane to sweeten it up. $2.30 Then ordered a large Frappuccino iced mocha with oat milk. A little over $4. Let me say, the tea was amazing! It's cold outside and it was sweet enough for my palate. Plus it was hot and perfect to warm up. My son loved the taste is his drink as well. I have been coming to this store for my drinking water for years! Staff is super friendly and they are always busy making coffee or smoothies for somebody. I have not try their coffee or smoothies so I can't not judge that part, however I know they purchase their coffee beans and grid the beans themselves. They have a area with big chairs so you can relax and drink your coffee/smoothie, is feels very homie and comfortable. The plaza was under some remodeling so it was pretty hard to see the name of the shop. But we found it (it's a corner shop), and we were caffeinated happily ever after! The owner lady was there and she made our drinks. I got a vanilla latte and it was too good! I also got a chocolate chip cookies and it was delicious! The coffee shop is pretty unique and she and her husband have also been selling water for at least 15 years!
