Visiting Florence Kentucky from NY, we looked on Yelp to find a good place for dinner and the Hebron Grille had 4 and 4 1/2 stars so we went and had a fantastic meal...the best peanut slaw ever, excellent mahi mahi with jalapeño cream and lime rice and Cincinnati Fish & Chips! I went in there today with a friend of mine having high expectations with all the good reviews here. Upon entering and sitting ourselves at a table we sat there for about 10 mins before we were even greeted by the waitress. We got the menus and looked around and tried the sauces. We ordered the wings and they were good. No complaints on the wings. Then we also ordered burgers. They asked us how we'd like them cooked? Ok that's a plus, I thought that they cooked to order. I said, Medium whilst my friend said Medium-Well. They came out burnt and charred. Well-done as they could get. Flavorless and waste of money. I then ask to see the kitchen manager and this lady comes out with an attitude as I point out that our burgers weren't cooked the way we asked. She said, "I'll see what we can do" and walked away. I was dumbfounded. They ended up giving a 50% discount on the burgers only, but didn't offer to replace them or anything. I was so upset. It was $16 not well spent. This place has gone downhill since last year. The beer and bar are nice, but the food is not much better than horrible. Three of us all had different items and each one thought their meal was disgusting. We are repeat customers, but it was bad. The Alabama Baked Potato was huge, but you could easily tell it was not fresh. The potato was cold and definitely been in the refrigerator for at least two days. The chicken was dry too. Besides some excellent fish fries I've had growing up in Wisconsin, this was the BEST fish fry I've had. My husband and I both ordered the fish and chips per our waitress's recommendation. We were thrilled! The cod was perfectly fried in a light, tasty batter. The peanut slaw was crunchy and perfectly seasoned. The curly fries were perfect! The wine was cold, the bourbon spot on....can you tell we loved it? Clearly a hot spot as it was pretty busy on a Tuesday evening. We WILL be back! read more

To the guy that didn't get the fish special - you didn't miss out on much. I got that and it was the blandest fish ever. It didn't taste like it was seasoned before battering. My husband got the ribs and steak combo. The ribs weren't very good. Oddly enough, the steak wasn't bad! Nothing more than salt and pepper, then grilled. But hey, they actually managed to cook it medium rare. The best part of the meal was their peanut butter chocolate pie/cake. Its creamy peanut butter filling with a hard chocolate shell. Because we live in Hebron and there's not much around, we may go back to give them another chance. I'd give them another shot just to eat the dessert. read more

I have been to Hebron Grille multiple times since it opened. The first time was right after it opened and we had a coupon. We ordered the only original appetizer on the menu (some sort of hummus pita with chicken) which was very good. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was incredibly dry. So much so that I couldn't really eat it. I told the waitress but I'm not one to push it, so I just ended up not eating much (plus, they had just opened and I figured they deserved to be graded on a curve). But, between me and my husband, we ordered quite a bit between the appetizer, two entrees, dessert and a couple of beers. However, when we tried to give our coupon, they were very difficult and said that it was limited to food only (even though I read the coupon through multiple times and it said no such thing). I was extremely disappointed. The only other times we have been back were when we met up with friends there. The only things we have ordered since were appetizers. All of the appetizers we have had are good, but typical bar food that I feel you can get almost anywhere (with the exception of the hummus pita). I'll also say that we usually get the same waitress/bartender when we're in there and she is really great - very attentive and friendly without overdoing it. We will likely go back since we live in the area and dining options are slim here, but at this point, I would choose other area bar/restaurant types before this one. read more

The restaurant was 1/3 full with a 45-minute wait for half the food ordered; the rest coming out five minutes later. Problem with the side dishes (one messed up and the other forgotten). The food was good, but the silverware, table and condiments were dirty. If the wait staff is too lazy to scrape encrusted food off of a ketchup bottle, I don't want to think about what the kitchen staff is too lazy to clean. read more

While traveling, we just happened to stumble across The Hebron Grill and stopped in for lunch. We're so glad we did. The server was really friendly and while talking, we found out that her father owned the place. He had just taken the restaurant over recently. He is also the chef and he stopped out to thank us for visiting. He seemed like a really great guy. The food was excellent, very fresh, and there was a lot of it! I had a stuffed baked potato and was only able to eat a quarter of it because it was so big. My friends had the fish sandwich and fries. They loved it and I thought the fries were awesome. Such a great place!!! We wanted to go out for dessert on a Thursday night around 7pm, and saw that the Hebron Grille was close by. We had so much fun here! They had live music playing, and the musicians were really good. The server was friendly and attentive, and we were seated quickly. Having lived in Hebron 7 years I have seen this place go from Gracie's, to Island Palm, to Marcello's, to Hebron Grille. This seems to be the winning fit for Hebron. The food is excellent. They have great specials and it is a great place to take in your favorite sports game. Local team specials make the trip worth wild. The atmosphere is family friendly and the service is fast. On Wednesday night the special is all you can eat ribs. They are to die for! I really haven't had anything on the menu that I didn't like. read more

I have eaten Sunday breakfast there 3 times now. The first was when they first opened over a year ago or more. Not so great, but since then.... great. The have a very small menu, but the items they have are just what you'd want. The portions are HUGE and delicious. Not a place to go if you are in a hurry, as they do take their time, but if you want a nice relaxing leisurely Sunday breakfast with friends or family, it's great. Honestly, if I could give this business no stars I would. Stupid me thinking it would okay to go and eat at this place after reading ALL the horrible reviews...I will never do it again! I had bought Restaurant digital gift cards and said 'Hey, why not try the Hebron Grille?" My boyfriend and I had a semi-stressful week of work and we wanted to try out some place new and decided to go on Wednesday to the Hebron Grill...we wanted a bar-like atmosphere and possibly a patio to sit on. So we went. We pulled up and no patio table was available, but proceeded to enter the building anyway. When we stepped inside a friendly young adult was there to greet us and seat us at a table. It was only until standing there for about ten minutes waiting on her to 'fix' the tape wrapped around the silverware, my boyfriend asked in a half joking and sarcastic way of "We are just going to be ripping the silverware apart anyway...can we please get a table?" were we ACTUALLY seated. So we were escorted to a booth. We sat down to a dingy, crumb filled booth (yuck) and proceeded to pull out the menu. Not too many offerings to be honest, but again I was trying to think positive. Waiters and waitresses were walking around our table yet no one asked if we were offered drinks yet. In fact, I do recall, the booth in front of us having to flag the waitress down for silverware they never received...she boldly replied with "That's not my job. The girl upfront is suppose to give that to you, but (big sigh) I will." Wow so far I have such a great feeling about this place. Not really. Ten minutes pass and a waiter finally comes up to us to ask if we had been offered drinks. Nope sure haven't. My boyfriend flustered asked "what was on tap" and the guy didn't know. I asked for water and the waiter said they were 'out'. After semi-getting our drink orders in, my boyfriend kindly mentioned we were going to be using a gift card. Even more importantly a gift from Restaurant.com . Here below was our reply: "Uh, yeah on Wednesdays we don't take gift cards." My boyfriend and I looking puzzled. "Yeah, you see, we don't take gift cards on Wednesdays because we do fundraisers for the elementary schools." My reply "I am all about helping a school raise money, but from what your telling me you would rather risk loosing my business and a tip for yourself because you won't take a partial gift card for payment?" Waiter: "Yeah". Me: "Hmmm..." Waiter: "I mean like I could ask him." Me: "Ask who? Mr. Hebron Grille himself?" Waiter: "He probably won't though. I mean you could come back on Thursday. Do you guys want me to leave and come back if you to decide to stay?" With that I grabbed my purse and my boyfriend and left. We didn't order anything. I ripped up the paper gift card from Restaurant.com in front of the place cursing it. I think I am more peeved with the simple fact that NOWHERE in that building did it say on "Wednesdays Tender Exclusion: We Don't Accept Gift Cards." Or on the paper from where I purchased the gift card. Well don't EXPECT to get my business. I will never go back or think twice about that place. It sucks. Stopped in on my way to the airport for a late flight with my father. It was all you can eat ribs night. I'm normally not a huge rib guy, but I decided "let's just be easy". We've stopped into the Hebron Grille a few times over the last few months since we heard that they have new owners. You can tell that they have added some decore and items to their redesigned menu. My husband always gets the Gyro which is delicious, and I typically get the grilled chicken sandwich. Everything we have had there food wise had been great. We have some favorite servers that we go and see along with bartendars but we always feel welcome there even with people we get to meet for the first time. With the weather getting better, we can't wait to go and enjoy their patio with friends. I recommend the Hebron Grille to everyone. read more
