Food & service is always great. This is our family's favorite Mexican food place! Micheladas are good and so are the mole enchiladas.

Service was friendly and quick, unfortunately the food was terrible. I paid 15.99 for the Birria plate , which was no issue however the tacos were very lightly fried in said Birria "sauce" , more like barely pan seared which made them super soggy in the styrofoam plate. The "sauce" was no sauce at all.. just a small dipping cup of oil, with seasoning and meat separation at the bottom. I also had a dipping cup of salsa ??... Id also ordered refried beans and the plate came with rice. The rice was the only decent thing , however it was ruined once i mixed it with the beans. I was served a bowl of bland refried beans. Overall , the meal was disappointing and i had to force myself to eat it because I'd paid for it .. but if i were in restaurant i would've asked to have it taken off the bill, respectfully. will not be eating here again. read more

It was a nice surprise eating here even though it was our first time and we had no expectations. Complementary chips and salsa arrived and I liked both; the latter was not spicy but still well-flavored. Due to the fact that it was our first visit, Mr. Piggy decided to try two different enchiladas, a shrimp and cheese version. His favorite was the cheese enchilada. I on the other hand decided to try the Costillas Asadas. That was a great decision because the food came out on a hot iron plate sitting on a mass of grilled onions. The plate was steaming hot and I relished the smell and couldn't wait to dig in. On the side was a small plate of rice and beans, pico de gallo and guacamole. Special mention to the small flour tortillas they served on the side which actually tasted quite good. We all have our own little peccadillos and one of mine is taking those delicious grilled onions and slapping them onto a small flour tortilla with whatever else is available--a really delicious bite! I asked and they make the Flan themselves in house. So we ordered that and also a piece of Tres leches cake. While he liked the Flan best, I went for the Tres Leches because I'm one of those people that likes a really wet cake and the bottom of that piece was perfect. Overall, the Costillas Asadas was perfectly seasoned such that I didn't have to add any salt, it was nicely tenderized and juicy, so I would definitely order that again next time. Our waiter Ivan turned out to be one of the owners and was super helpful and friendly from the moment we stepped inside the door. He was so nice in fact that I am going to take my "4.5" review and round it up to a "5" instead of to "4". I have dined here twice for lunch recently and parking space is plentiful in front. Inside it's a table service restaurant that is attractively decorated. My first visit was to try the mixed fajitas for $20. I asked for charro beans to substitute for the refried beans that normally come with this entree. First to arrive were the complimentary chips and red salsa along with 3 squirt bottles of other salsa flavors. Guac, habanero, etc. and they were all good. A few minutes later the fajitas arrived. Here the price is fixed for whatever meat you order, chicken, beef or mixed which is unusual. I went with mixed to try both types and enjoyed them tremendously. Usually beef fajita meat can be chewy at most Texas Mex restaurants but not here. The beef was tender and delicious. The chicken was juicy and flavorful instead of kind of dry and bland like other places. Definitely order the mixed for the most enjoyment. I tried their store bought corn and flour tortillas and thought they were very good. Ditto on the charro beans. Also the sizzling platter came with a large bed on onions that really added to the meal. Finally the table service was very good. Due to the taste of both meats I had to give this meal a 5. Excellent! The second visit was to try the California burrito for $18. This was a 12" burrito filled with the same excellent beef fajita meat that I had earlier along with rice, charro beans, lettuce, tomato, guac, cheese and sour cream all topped with a generous amount of chile con queso. It was a very good tasting burrito with good tasting ingredients including the chile con queso (4). The meal also came with the complimentary and delicious chips and salsas and very good table service again. I like this restaurant and recommend it. One thing I noticed is that my receipts for both meals listed the name of Pichurros instead of Senor Tequilas.Not sure what that is about. read more

My 3rd time here and I just tried the Birria Tacos. By far my favorite dish here! They were just about the right size that they weren't overly messy. Very delicious! The waitstaff is extremely attentive. They are quick to replenish your drinks and chips. We never once ran out of anything. Best waitstaff in town, I think! Not a very large place, but still plenty big. Probably seats around 60 people. Give them a shot for some authentic Mexican food. read more

Update: Came back here last night for dinner with the fam. What a difference 6 months makes. Service was great. Food was excellent this time, albeit I didn't get the fried avocado. Got the Anaheim chili beef fajita enchiladas and they were damn good. They also brought out some, I dunno maybe secret sauces? A mild and spicy green and a habanero off orange color one. All delicious. The milder green one needs to come out with the salsa. All of our food was great. I'll come back and try the avocado. I think they got all the wrinkles ironed out, y'all should give em a go. read more

Stopped in for lunch to try this new mexican restaurant. Not many patrons at the time but the service was very good and attentive. I ordered off the lunch menu and the prices were fair. I had the beef fajita taco with a cheese enchilada, rice, beans, and guacamole. The cheese enchilada was probably the best thing on my plate. The beans were bland and the fajita didn't have a lot of flavor as well. The chips and salsa were fresh and really good. The guacamole was fairly good as well. Have been here a dozen times. I hesitate to dine there because of the amount of salt they use. Everything is tasty, but I always awake the next day with puffy eyes and swollen fingers. So now, during the meal I take a diuretic. That's not good because that can tax the kidneys. Anyway, the margaritas are fabulous, a little too frozen, so you may want to ask for half frozen, half rocks. Salsa is warm (which I love) but too much salt, chips are great, queso is great...all the food is wonderful, just wished they use half as much salt. read more

Really wanted this place to be great... the ambiance is. The service is... the food... not so much. My grandkids split a beef quesadilla (I sampled one slice and found the fajita beef too chewy and too much cheese. I had the shrimp enchiladas. Aside from a bit too much garlic in the rice the beans and sauces were great. The shrimp however must have been steamed or boiled because they were soggy. I'll try it again because the lunch menu is reasonably priced and I really do w ant the local place to be great. read more

Cute spot, small and quaint. To start off the chips and salsa were really good. They give you a warm red salsa, not too spicy and then 3 cold salsas for your food that were a little spicier. I loved all the salsas! It was my favorite part! The food itself was just ok. The fajitas were fatty and hard to chew but the flavor was good and they were cooked well. Could have been just a bad cut of meat but otherwise rice and beans were good. The staff were friendly as well. This overall was an okay spot if you're in the neighborhood but I wouldn't go again just because there are other Mexican restaurants closer to me that are better. read more

Been going with family for months. We are retired and have gone to many mecucan restaurants in West/Northwest Houston and they have the best food hands down. Their salsa was very spot on as my 1st time there I always check out the chips and salsa and was pleasantly surprised in that my expectations were low considering I haven't been. I ordered the beef enchiladas (another 'trial food for comparison purposes) and it was a 'little' sweet but very good too. The serving size was more than ample and the menu is extensive. This is their second location and there are 4 owners all of which were there today and I had the chance to at least say hello and give them my thoughts. They were all very gracious, polite and interested in what I had to say. I did a small 'trial' margarita on the rocks. It too was very good and they were not cheap with the tequila. Note - there is a 4% 'convenience fee' if you use a debit or credit card but they won't tell you that until you see you check. I didn't appreciate not knowing that up front but I paid cash and they take it off when you pay in cash. I will go back and I recommend this place! read more

Went to visit my parents in Cypress and scoured the area looking for good micheladas. After some research, we decided on Pichurro's. The staff there were awesome, especially Ivan. The food was exceptional (I got the Azteca special). And they're michi's, delicious. Will definitely go here again. read more

I've had Pichurro's on my list of new places to try, so today my dad and I visited for lunch. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, the salsa was served warm (my personal preference), service was attentive and friendly, and our meals were delicious. I especially enjoyed the seasoning on the ground beef in the crispy taco. We loved the refried beans and fluffy rice. Excellent enchiladas. Great guacamole. I can't wait to try their happy hour! My girlfriend and I stopped by this place after a workout so we we're STARVING. The people at this restaurant were super nice and periodically came by to make sure we were satisfied. Let's get into the food! Chips and salsa?? Amazing. The chips were not too salty or bland. And the salsa had a great consistency . Probably one of the best sauces I've had. The beef fajita at this restaurant is SUPERB. We ate the chachos as a starter and i could eat that all day. It was tender, juicy, and the tortilla wasn't hard to chew or anything. Yes, the salsa & chips were good but from the reviews I was somehow expecting to find the end of the rainbow! The cheese enchilada was good but can you really mess that up! Refried beans were not worth but one taste and pushed off to the side. Didn't even try the rice. Be careful ordering the Skinny Margarita as it does have ingredients in that don't qualify as "skinny" and it's HIGH PRICE! I'm glad we asked before ordering.
