Have been coming to heirloom for years! The drinks are delicious and they don't put too much ice. They have many unique sweetener options. Everything comes out fast, I usually wait no longer than 5 minutes. Inside is a soothing, feminine atmosphere.
My partner and I visited Raleigh for a weekend, and while driving through I found this Asian-inspired Cafe! The drinks were solid and the food was good. We tried the congee and the chicken biscuit (fried chicken sandwich on a biscuit). For 2 drinks and brunch entrees, the total came out to be about $40.
Went recently for lunch with a friend. We came in around noon on a Monday and it wasn't too busy. I grabbed the char sui pork belly sandwich with fries. It was good! Now can confirm this is a good spot for breakfast and lunch. I'll be back for dinner eventually!
I went to bloom for an early dinner. I was not alone in finding this place a true coffee shop where nearly everyone had a laptop out, so I felt at home to work as well. The decor is nice. Minimalist but chic. Clean. Not too loud or noisy. You can get service at your table. Everyone was nice. It's not totally like a traditional waitstaff, as they don't come by as often, but still helpful and around when I needed something. The cocktails were good - I had the honey bourbon smash. It was well made. So much so I had two! For food, these are shareable small plates. Morning truly felt like a meal. The food came out fast and was hot/fresh. I had the crab claws, crispy shrimp and dumplings. The crab claws were delicious. Lots of them too. Served with bread I didn't use. The crispy shrimp were nice large shrimp and a spicy sauce with rice. I ended up using the rice with the crab claw sauce. And the dumplings were ok but I didn't eat many of them. They were my least favorite. I would come back to enjoy coffee and breakfast, but doubt I come back for dinner.
This was suchhhh a cute cafe! I got their congee and it reminded me of home. I'll have to try their drinks next time but the space is so cute and has a lot of natural life. Got a lot of work done here, lots of seating and menu/drink options. The only this is parking in the lot is lowkey a bag and I would come back on the weekend to do street parking.
This is the perfect place to relax and catch up with friends or have a long study session. The ambiance is great and the coffee is even better.
Every Saturday, I choose a new coffee shop to experience. This Saturday I chose Heirloom due to being in the area, and it being on my list. We had just saw the Monks on their Walk for Peace and were freezing. I've walked past Heirloom several times over the years and I'm so glad I finally went in. Heirloom has a cozy vibe with lots of windows. Great place to work, meet up with a friend or friends, enjoy a nice cup of something. I ordered a banana bread latte...it was absolutely perfect. I also had the Ube donut, I can't describe the deliciousness, but it was perfect as well. The peppermint tea was just tea, but the presentation in the glass tea pot was perfect, with a matching glass mug. The service was good. Everyone was friendly and the young lady at the register was helpful when I asked for a suggestion. They also have a breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner menus that look wonderful.
Taiwanese bowls and sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. Order at counter for service. Coffee bar/cafe vibe. Urban feel. Casual downtown crowd of all ages and diversity. I enjoyed the sweet chili salmon bowl and housemade chocolate chip cookie dusted with flaky sea salt. Yum. Minimal decor, clean, inviting.
So I fell in love with Heirloom Brewshop. I stopped here for breakfast before my train ride out of Raleigh this morning. I was in the city for a work conference and would not have much free/downtime at all this week, but I had planned to check this place out before I left. I knew it was within walking distance of Union Station (so I could swing it in time for my train) and it had some interesting menu items from what I saw online. I ordered a large cold brew and a chicken rice porridge with a fried egg and chili oil. Quality cold brew - from the first sip. That congee was one of the best congees that I've had in a really long time. My first spoonful was full of flavor. The spring onions were fresh and added a perfect crunch. The yoke of the egg was just right, and the chili oil brought it to another level of delicious. When I got there, only a few people were seated at the tables, but in time the place filled up with customers and was bustling. There was a mix - lone remote workers on their laptops with caffeinated drinks next to them, couples and twosomes, a small group of five, a mother and her five year old. I can assume most are locals who live in the area and are regulars. And the people working at Heirloom were friendly, kind, and chatted it up with people. It feels like a nice community there and Heirloom is a hub (well, that's what I saw during my visit and saw as an interloper/outsider). Before I left, I also bought a few things to bring home as gifts for my husband and co-workers. They have an assortment of whole bean coffee bags, matcha tins, chocolates, and alcoholic drinks (I didn't get these but FYI they are sold there). Their inventory is well curated and from many from independent suppliers. I got a matcha tin for my husband, and coffee and chocolate bars for work. Yes, it was a bit pricey, but I figured it's a good way to support local businesses. I would stop by Heirloom every week if I were a local. If you are in the area, you can't sleep on this place.
Just had the most delicious breakfast here. Chicken biscuit was out of this world crispy, salty, sweet. Will be craving it later for sure. The baguette was also really yummy. Highly recommend. Excited to return for dinner and try more dishes. Very kind and helpful server as well
Third review of this place because it just keeps getting better and I had to tell yall about this chicken sandwich and the 5 spice latte. Service is great. They remember you and your order. lol. Or maybe just me because I keep coming back. lol. Try that 5 spice latte. I'm telling you it is delicious. Instead of getting the usual breakfast baguette, I decided to get the Nashville hot chicken biscuit. Maaaaannnnnn. It is the best chicken biscuit I've ever had. The CRUNCH is crunching. It's juicy with an Asian (I believe) coating that is full of flavor. The biscuit is cooked to perfection. Together it's a match made in heaven. And...and it's huge. I usually cannot finish it. The coffee and chicken biscuit alone are reasons to visit. But... there's more. This place has THEE best homemade orange pound cake in Raleigh. And the chocolate chip banana bread is a close second. Just go...but save me some. I tell you there are no misses. It's a great vibe to chill with friends or get some work done.
Friendly service, chill vibes, delicious food. I consider myself a pretty big eater and I ordered both the heirloom breakfast baguette sandwich which was a pleasant surprise but wasn't as filling as I would have liked. It's a reasonable amount of food with a little bit of kick from the chili crisp and a nice sweetness and creaminess from the kewpie mayo and the soft scrambled eggs inside. I didn't expect to like this as much as a did and ordered it at the barista's recommendation. He described it as a very huge sandwich and said it was really good. The Taiwanese fried chicken rice bowl was also a winner. The chicken was so perfectly fried and crispy while still being tender and juicy on the inside. I will say, it felt like it could have done with about 4 more popcorn chicken in there and more cabbage as well. I mean I get it. Things are expensive. Inflation and what have you. I recommend having it with the kewpie maybe and chili crisp. Apparently the sweet chili sauce is the most popular choice as well as the kewpie with chili crisp. Can't really go wrong with either. My friend ordered some sort of iced passion fruit tea type beverage and the pumpkin waffle. She said both were good and that she was stuffed afterwards. I ended up also ordering another Taiwanese fried chicken rice bowl to-go as well as the pork belly sandwich. Both were good but the pork belly is a bit too saucy for our taste. My husband found it to be more than enough food but maybe I was just especially hungry that day. They've also got an array of various teas, coffee, sakes, beers, chocolates, and other cute snacks and gift type of things oh the shelf to your left when you first walk in.
Was excited to try Heirloom for dinner and grab a nice drink. The pork and cabbage dumplings were amazing, and the chai latte I had was perfectly brewed. I'm not happy however with the service, as it took us several minutes to be acknowledged and our server was less than attentive. I'll still come back though and give it another chance, especially to try the pour overs.

Okay I'm going to be 100% honest when I heard about this place when it opened I was intrigued and skeptical. Skeptical because I thought it would be like any other wanna be fancy cafe l/Brewshop that wanted to feel fancy. Also intrigued by the clean look and aesthetic. What I can say about my first visit is: The place is meticulously cleaned and super clean. I don't think you could find a speck of dust anywhere. The aesthetic is clean, airy, harmonious and natural. With flowers and plants. Everywhere this shop is also in touch with nature. The staff also pride themselves in their work, I showed up 40 minutes before closing and ended up chatting with the staff who not only are knowledgeable about their products they have suggestions ready if you're indecisive or picky like I am. They explained to me what hints I should get or taste from a certain brand or blend. They also explain the products well. I also ordered some mochi doughnuts and (bruh) they were good. My first visit was nice and super welcoming. So I'll definitely be back! read more

Heirloom Brewshop is downtowns newest (and arguably prettiest) coffee, tea and sake house, residing in the slowly expanding Dillon. While they are still in their soft opening phase I think it's safe to say that Heirloom will be a very welcome addition to the area! The first thing you notice even before placing your order is how gorgeous Heirloom is. It's seriously something out of a millennial designer's dreams. Clean, airy and full of touches of pink and cream, I could sit in here all day and just marvel at how pretty it is. While delightfully minimalistic there is still quite a bit of character in the space, especially behind the counter where some of the coolest coffee making contraptions i've ever seen sit alongside the prettiest espresso machine ever (it's so gloriously pink). Seriously, if nothing else Heirloom is serious eye candy. Fortunately, Heirloom isn't all looks and no substance. I tried the vacuum pot coffee (which made use of one of those cool contraptions I mentioned earlier) as well as one of each of their available cookies (more food to come in the coming weeks). The coffee was bold and very flavorful, but at the same time very easy to drink. I was able to easily enjoy it without adding anything to it which is an impressive feat. At $7 a (small) pot it is a bit pricier than i'm used to, but I could tell it was a quality product which I can splurge on every now and then. The cookies themselves were all very tasty- especially the matcha which I could have eaten a dozen of in one sitting if allowed. Just based on cookie flavors alone I can't wait to check out the rest of their upcoming menu! They might still be new but Heirloom is doing a great job standing out in the booming warehouse district! Definitely stop by when you have a chance an enjoy the tasty food and coffee and absolutely gorgeous space! read more

It's places like this that make me realize how special Raleigh is. This coffee and tea shop is gorgeous and their menu is even more impressive. If you're looking for a Starbucks experience, look elsewhere. This place is unique as shows through their homemade syrups. I ordered the matcha latte and it was amazing and I it was gone much quicker than I wished. My son devoured his brownie and my friend loved her mini lavender donut. The service was extremely friendly without being cheesy or over the top. I just cannot say enough good places about this place. I think I will visit again tomorrow read more
What a beautiful coffee and tea shop in downtown Raleigh! As others have already gushed, this is a gorgeous place to drink, study, chat, whatever you like. It just has that calming, peaceful atmosphere--not a bustling loud coffeeshop at all. I tried the brown sugar and five spice latte, and the cappuccino. Both were perfectly made! My favorite thing was the matcha cookie--at $4 a pop, it's a little pricey, but wow it's worth it. I'm so excited for this area of downtown Raleigh--first the food hall, now Heirloom? I'm certainly coming back, to try the teas, and getting more matcha cookies! read more
The space is beautiful. It's conveniently right across from Union Station. I ordered the Brown Sugar, Fig, and Five Spice latte. It's a nice fall flavor and isn't sweet. Perfect! My boyfriend has the sparkling mint cold brew. It's a unique flavor and very refreshing. The menu is limited for the soft opening but we already have a list of new favorites to try! read more
Cute cafe with solid breakfast with a twist. Their fingerling potatoes are a must and you get enough to share! I got their bao pork sausage which was delicious but kind of wish the biscuit had more taste. Great coffee selection! read more

This is a COFFEE persons paradise, the decor is so beautiful, from the architectural delight of the wood ceiling feature to the pops of subtle pinks and greens. Everything about this place makes you want to stay and drink in the delightful coffee. The Kraft ceramic mugs are the most adorable and feel so comforting on a cold day. I got the Pour over and it was enough to share with a friend which was lovely, especially in the mugs. It was cozy, warm, and friendly, with friendly - coffee- loving baristas. I can't wait to come back and enjoy some more options from the menu. read more
Super authentic Taiwanese and Laotian food. The pork belly sandwich was my absolute favorite, definitely add an egg to make it a bfast sammie! The service is amazing and the shop is very cute! Can't wait to be able to eat there in the future instead of take out. Definitely a cute coffee shop for reading or doing work. read more

I completely forgot to check-in here... Because as soon as I walked in, I was overwhelmed with the beautiful interior design and architecture! Honestly, it took me a few minutes to take it all in and get myself to the counter to place my order - the wall full of dried flowers and dainty utensils and such used for brewing coffee and tea, the pink (!!) espresso machine, etc. It was all so pretty! My fiance and I ordered a green tea latte (unsweet) and a jasmine tea. The jasmine tea was superb. The aroma from the start was amazing and the fragrance that filled my mouth with each sip lasted the entire kettle. The unsweet green tea latte took two sips to get used to, but that also was entirely flavorful - I have a newfound appreciation for straight up matcha with no added sweetness. The menu is all pricey, but I understand and appreciate it for what's served. The server even knelt to pour me my first cup of tea- I mean, come on! I also really like that it stays open till late and will definitely be back for more! I want to try the orchid tea & mochi donuts next. read more

Want to love it. Dropped by on a late Saturday night at about 10pm. Looked in the dessert case (pic below) for a late night treat. Chose the jasmine brownie. It was total rubbish because was dry, crumbly, very little chocolate taste and no Jasmine flavor. I think I ate less than 25% of it so it was a waste of $5. Wanted the ginger tea but they were out of stock on it. So they were batting 0-2 here. Giving this place 2 stars because it is open late night. Otherwise it would have been 1 star and move along!!! read more

I came to Heirloom Brewshop when they first opened, but decided to make my way back down again with a friend since it was recently listed on Bon Appetit's 2019 list of best new restaurants. The space itself is beautiful. I love the wave installation above the ceiling and the soft pink interiors. I had the strawberry limeade mochi donut and was surprised that they were made fresh to order. I also had the jasmine tea to drink. Both were amazing. I can't wait to go back to try some of their savory menu options. My only complaint is that the music in the bathroom is really loud and it's dark like a nightclub. It seems odd and doesn't really fit in with the vibe of the space. read more

Great aesthetic and cool coffee shop. The design elements like the walls and ceiling are beautiful. The matcha wasn't super amazing and it was $7. The food is okay, but also nothing special. I wish this place was a little more affordable. read more
I went for a caffeine pick me up and chatted with my try cool places partner. To our surprise the place was Coffee, Tea (and they do tea right), and Saké soooooo you "just saké to me baby lol." I got the Cortado and partner got a rich full flavored Latté. We both enjoyed our beverage and took in the setting, we talked about the idea of the place and saw that it worked. Loved seeing other liked minded people enjoy and congregate in this space they have created. Staff was nice and it just a quick walk from morgan street food hall where the food and drink and space is great but when you need caffeine I would walk here first! Parking is parking because you know, it is downtown and all. Ill6be back to this place for sure next time I'm in Raleigh area, but I'll have some saké next time lol! read more

I was so happy to find this jewel tucked away in downtown Raleigh. The rice porridge was amazing. It is a warm hug in a bowl. The vibe is chill and way hipster, but don't let that deter you. Lol. will probably add this place to my rotation of study spots. read more

I really love the vibe in this place. The coffee is consistently good every time. The baristas clearly appreciate the craft because I felt they ensured precision in making the latte I ordered! The location is beautiful. Inside it's filled with light. I see a lot of people studying/working there and it seems perfect for that because it's not extremely loud in this establishment. Prime location in DTR - right down the road from Morgan street food hall. read more
