When you first walk in, be prepared for a spacious interior with a calm ambiance that you may not find in other spots in the area. The food is amazing! It looks like a coffee shop but they have delicious savory dishes and scrumptious baked goods. Highly recommend the matcha sea salt cookies, or the "stew" (which you dip house-made chips in, with melted cheese). The atmosphere is beautiful, bright, plenty of seating, good WiFi. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Heirloom! The ambiance is just as good as the food and drink. My husband had an ice coffee and I had the gunpowder tea which was a great compliment to the honey lavender donut. The tea had a nice woodsy smoky flavor which cut the sweetness of the donut. I think this is the type of place I'd like to go on a quiet weekday morning alone and just linger a little while eating a hot donut and cold tea. I was visiting from Connecticut and stopped by Heirloom and was blown away by the entire experience. The coffee was delicious on its own, but their homemade flavors were an amazing addition. Loved that they had the option of both Almond Milk or Oat Milk. We also had food and it was phenomenal. Whenever I make a trip back, I will be returning without a doubt. read more

I stopped by Heirloom last night on a suggestion from a friend and I couldn't have liked it any more - It was really amazing. The modern - Japanese feel was really special. I was greeted by Mychael and I ordered matcha tea with oat milk. I later in the evening sat at the bar and chatted with Samantha who was great conversation. I was impressed with their offerings of pour over coffee, and your standard fare like teas, espresso etc. They have a small plate food menu with interesting takes on chicken and the like. They also offer unique baked goods and mochi. I will be back so soon! Great hours too - They are open late and very often thats when I am working. They have a good selection of seating and comfortable chairs. Parking can be tough at rush hours but its worth it. read more

Heirloom is my new favorite spot for coffee. I tried the brown sugar & spice latte and it was exactly what Leisel described it as - the perfect fall drink. It wasn't too sweet as other flavored lattes tend to be which was nice. This shop is also beautifully decorated - Modern, minimalist, and lots of plants. read more

Such a beautiful new spot in downtown Raleigh. Definitely worth the visit. Lots of great sake, tea, and coffee drinks. Also a good spot to get work done because the volume is low and there are lots of outlets for you to charge your devices. read more

I had high hopes foe this place but felt mislead by the nice pictures. The sandwich didn't have "napa slaw" but iceberg lettuce, they also no longer offer biscuits though advertised on website. We stopped in for coffee and ended up grabbing an egg sandwich served on the scallion biscuit with nori fingerlings. The scallion biscuit stole the show and was a crumbly crispy outside with soft buttery inside. If you like potato wedges, you'll like the smashed potato fingerlings. Our drip coffees were delicious as well. The staff was extremely attentive to cleanliness and I saw them wash their hands multiple times. The shop itself is very modern and bright with interesting tea, coffee and sake wares for purchase. Would be a great place to study (if they allow seating? So incredibly disappointed in this place went for a business meeting at lunchtime and they were Unable/unwilling to make any accommodations whatsoever for my garlic and onion allergy. I had to sit through the whole meeting starving and leave early. Zero apologies zero remorse. Best matcha latte I've ever had. Unique and delicious breakfast sandwiches. Fengshui very good, obviously, can't sit down due to covid however; but the energy of the place is incredible. There are a lot of minuscule things in the establishment that you wouldn't typically notice that make the place better for everyone. Love the relaxing, modern asian atmosphere of Heirloom Brewshop. The music playlist is on point for study/work, no headphones required. The coffee and tea options are diverse. I was impressed that they have multiple Japanese beers on tap and sake. I tried both the matcha and caramel lattes and both were good. I do think they could add more food options but it's probably something they are working on as they just recently opened. I will definitely be coming back regularly. read more

I can't get enough of this place. While both pictures attached are from when dine in was available, I have been back time and time again and the food and drinks have never fallen short. I'm thoroughly convinced that nothing on this menu could be bad. It's just good, cozy food. The milk toast (in any of the variations) is so delicious, the rice bowls are great comfort foods, the biscuits are a hit, the miso fingerlings, y'all I could go on. The drinks are great too. I can't speak to the coffee nor cocktails, but they have a really great rotation of kombucha and the teas are always so fragrant, flavorful, and not to mention gorgeous. I've been getting a matcha latte lately, but any of the teas are going to be good. The staff is always super friendly, and I love coming back again and again. They do curbside and takeout, and are always wearing masks. It's a safe and clean environment and I highly recommend going and supporting this incredible business. read more

We came in this place because of so many good reviews but unfortunately it has nothing to do with reviews. The table was dirty with a long hair on it. I asked if it's possible to clean it and the guys that work there did-all the dirt and hair flew on me and my husband - that is the way they clean the table. No idea what exactly I did wrong. Sometimes asking people to do what they suppose to do creates an upset. Weird. The place was empty at 11:30 am-no wonder. We didn't get the food. They don't have salads we were told, everything premaid and fried. Not a healthy breakfast at all. The design of the place is unique, beautiful. They could rock it if they would up the standards. Came here to try good Asian Fusion food however the menu options were extremely limited compared to what was shown online upon arriving there. Ordered the chicken porridge which sounded promising, however when it arrived it wasn't hot but rather lukewarm and had the tiniest amount of chicken flavor. It lacked a lot of seasoning and it was hard for me to continue to eat it. On a more positive note, the taiwanese fried chicken bowl tasted great and seemed to be worth the price. Really cute atmosphere and a great place to get some work done. I love the minimalism of their decorations, with house plants, and pops of color with the pink. I had the brow sugar latte and my friend and I split the chicken bites... the chicken bites are bomb. Even if you're not a coffee/tea drinker, you should stop by to try these babies. Plus it's such a great location and right next to urban outfitters. If you need a pick me up while shopping you can just hop right in. Definitely will be going back. Really wanted to love this place but I think 3 stars is sufficient. My husband and I wanted coffee and something sweet after having sushi and Heirloom was just a few minutes away from us so we walked on over. Upon entering we were greeted. We looked at the menu and both ordered an iced salted plum white mocha coffee. Needless to say we tasted absolutely no salted plum or mocha at all. The coffee was so medicocre that my husband didn't finish his and I had to add simple syrup and honey just to make it sweet enough. We both ordered their toasted piece of bread that's drenched in sweet and condensed milk and honey and oh MAN. That was out of this world!!!!! The piece of bread you get is very filling- big, thick, and oh so much sweetness. We devoured our plates. I would come back for that dessert but pass on their coffee. I like the open air space, minimalist design that this cafe has to offer too. Tables were pretty sticky so keep that in mind. read more

This place was recommended for its tea and it did not disappoint. First, let me say that the area was bright and clean, and the staff very helpful and friendly. I ordered the orchid oolong which was light and delicious, and decided to try the Taiwanese fried chicken, which was quite good. The only downside was that there were menu items on their website that were not actually available in store; we were advised that their site was not updated.
