Had a great Father' Day brunch here. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxed with nice views of the lake. Service was great. What a greeting! There was like six people sitting us down, serving coffee and ice water without even asking. We ordered seared Salmon, chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict flatbread, and a custom omelette. The food was very good! Compliments to the chef. You probably wouldn't think about going to a hotel for the food, but this place is an exception. The food, views and relaxed atmosphere is what separates this from the typical restaurant scene. After breakfast we strolled along the harbor and enjoyed the morning with sweet tea. They should put together a big, high end, Sunday brunch buffet and they would do really well. read more

My previous stay at this hotel, I had the flank steak. That was good. This trip I had the blackened salmon with jambalaya rice.? Both were too salty n lacked flavors. I also had the angus empanadas. Same, salty and lacking flavors, even the sauce. My dinner was terrible. Next trip I'll walk over to the mall next door and eat there. read more

My husband and I ate at the bar C&B Scene because of the beautiful view of the sun setting over the water! The menu is fairly small, but we were very impressed at how good the food and presentation was! My salmon with watermelon radish and lemon potatoes and his Southwest turkey club sandwich seemed like dishes from a high end restaurant! The bar is nice, but casual and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly! I wish this place was closer to home! read more

Our family of 24 has celebrated Christmas Eve here for the past eleven years. My husband and I, in our 90's, live nearby and host this dinner every year. It just gets better and better! Chef Peter and the hotel staff make it an event to look forward to for our entire family. We are served drinks and appetizers in the lovely bar area overlooking Lake Ray Hubbard, then move into the dining room for dinner. There we have a choice of three preselected entrees with salad, sides and dessert. The service and the food are excellent and we are treated so well by every staff member involved. It is the one time a year that we can all be together since we are scattered all over Texas and Louisiana. Hopefully, next year our Oregon-based grandson can join us because it's an event we all look forward to with great anticipation, thanks to the Hilton! read more

Would I eat here again? It's on site of the Hotel so yes. We had the continental breakfast with choose 3 as our member tier perk. The staff is really friendly, the decor is chic/modern and our oats were made right. I would return to try other dishes based on the friendliness and cleanliness. On our next visit we will try the chilaquiles verdes and the Heirloom breakfast and will try to do a dinner as well. read more

Had breakfast here twice during our stay. Pleasantly Surprised!! Food was excellent and the service as good. Avocado Toast was one of the best I've had. Presentation, food quality that you could see and taste. Never thought a spinach salad with breakfast would be appealing but it was very good. The muffins were fresh and moist and croissants toasted perfectly. Seriously and nice breakfast that will hold its own anywhere. read more

"Find something in Rockwall" is the directive for late lunch-on-the-road hungry, flying the copilot seat on I-30E over Lake Ray Hubbard and still scrolling the app for something nearby. Heirloom rolls up with O.K. stars and looks like a good place to land. Next exit then right. Oh. It's a hotel restaurant? Didn't scroll far enough into the reviews. Oh, the dining room is closed? It's not clear if it's a time-of-day thing or a staffing thing. It's just not open. But, the bar...C&B Scene...serves the full lunch menu. Ok. The place is visually lovely while dead as a mausoleum. The barkeep is pleasant and semi-attentive while working as her own bar back prepping for happy-hour or a dinner rush (management had better hope they keep her.) The lunch menu is brief and more the baseline of a room service card (yep...it's a hotel.) Decisions for a bacon chee-burger, chicken sandwich, and two side salads were tapped into the kitchen order system. We were probably lucky it was just two for a roadie lunch. It'd either be nice, it'd satisfy as road fuel, or whatever. It was nice. Was it really farm-to-fork? Maybe. That's the pitch toward the plate. We had a good middle-of-the-road experience, but we could've been lucky to have had only two orders for a kitchen with a closed dining room. Our orders arrived timely and tasty with no time for dessert. Quick! It's into the far-away restroom and we're back onto and farther down the road sooner. read more

So Heirloom kitchen is in a hotel lobby and was a nice surprise. They practiced safe distancing, service was spot on, very attentive, friendly, and there breakfast was perfect every morning. The restaurant was nice and clean with a great view of the lake. read more

Had dinner at the hotel as we had a long travel day and didn't feel like going out. We also had some wine which was an amazing price. I ordered the crawfish deviled eggs and they were amazing. I wish I had more they were that good. The bartenders are awesome and attentive. My co workers had a salad and a shrimp Rueben. Both look awesome and we all cleared our plates. Ate here for lunch during an HR conference. There was also a large wedding going on at the same time. Service was decent - a little slow as I think they were short handed due to all the events. I ordered the 44 burger which was prepared as ordered. Portions were huge but it was a bit salty. The sweet potato fries were good but not warm when they were delivered to the table. The biggest issue was getting the check paid at the end. The server brought the bill which has the convenient box to put your room # in but if you aren't a hotel guest you have to flag them down to take your payment. read more

We had a transcendent meal today at the Heirloom Kitchen in Rockwall. The cuisine fit us both perfectly and the staff was delightfully gracious as we celebrated our 22nd Wedding Anniversary. I wrote 3 simple sentences on our online Open Table reservation ... and the look on My wife's face was priceless when we arrived at a perfect table with a perfect view with a reserved sign and a vase of fresh flowers waiting for us. Tuesday, our waiter, was helpful and attentive, but allowed us plenty of private time to leisurely enjoy the ambiance. The complimentary chocolate covered strawberries at the end of the meal was the perfect final touch for two already delighted tummies. And the cost was exceptionally reasonable ... especially considering the value added by the staff ... and the view!! I head out on a Mission Trip to Juarez, Mexico tomorrow at 6 AM, so lunch was our best option for an Anniversary Lunch. And while I like to celebrate with an elegant gourmet meal (which usually means uptown or downtown Dallas) .... Jamie prefers something simple and closer to home, preferably on the Lake. My savory Chickpea/Cilantro Waffle, topped with greens, grilled squash and poblano peppers was just the kind of unique gourmet invention I crave. The Smoked Chicken Club Sandwich with avocado and fries fit her appetite impeccably. I was vaguely aware of the restaurant before, since our Autistic son LOVES the water too (and hotels). Quite recently we have parked near the Hilton and walked through the lobby to get to the lakefront. There is ample shade on that route and we both love the views of the water as we stroll through the hotel. How perfect that mom now knows about our "secret spot" ... and approves. I'm guessing, even though we live less than 10 minutes away ... we will book a room at this Hilton soon. To enjoy the pool AND the lake ... AND the restaurant again!! read more

This place has the absolute WORST customer service! It took us 25 minutes to get someone to look our way to ask how do we get food, we never got drinks, we even asked to speak to the manager who gave off the vibe that he was annoyed. Everyone who walked in got seated, and we were told to just go sit wherever! I will not be back! read more

The food was pretty good, I suppose. Deviled eggs were delicious. The snapper was good. Ballerina pasta was okay (crab a bit tasteless). However, the 3 stars are attributed to the lack of class in/around the restaurant. Bright lights felt like a cafeteria. People without shirts/shoes kept wondering in and out of the restaurant. Drunk people were yelling directly by the restaurant (also without shirts). Things calmed down once the police arrived. Seriously. Something tells me the Hilton's pool party isn't too worried about serving people too much alcohol or possible ramifications of such. For the prices, they could make more of an effort to make it feel classy. As it is, I've been to Denny's that felt more classy. read more

We spent our anniversary dinner here. The entire staff was awesome. We made reservations ahead of time and mentioned our celebration. They went all out in making it a memorable evening. They greeted us by giving my wife a bouquet of fresh flowers. The chef made us a special off the menu appetizer that was delicious. My wife had Chilean Sea Bass. She loved it. I had a brick oven pizza that was awesome Definitely worth a trip to Rockwall. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and service. read more

I'm a local who loves dining here. They have recently renovated the location and changed the menu to a modern blend of American and European cuisine and it's very gourmet. The ingredients are organic, fresh, and beautifully arranged...the chef is a master. Portions can be large but the price stays very reasonable and the staff is very kind. Highly recommend for casual dining, family dining, special events, and dates. The location overlooks the most beautiful part of Lake Ray Hubbard and is within walking distance of the movie theater and our local chocolatier. read more

This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. It used to be Mistra. I'm not sure why it changed. Mistra had a Chilean Sea Bass dish and crab cakes that were amazing. Sadly the new restaurant looks better than it taste. I recently visited and ordered the crab cakes and they weren't the same. My fish was overlooked and the purple grits were decent. I can see the potential but not quite there yet. read more

Well, I just wanted to grab some dinner after a long day of meetings and travel so I chose to stay and eat at the hotel. Probably won't do that again. Service was great, but it was an early dinner at 6pm so only 3 others in the restaurant at that time. The bread they served to start was obviously frozen and warmed up (I liked the honey butter) Ordered hangar steak and it was very good, prepared medium just the way I ordered. But I could really do without the spicy sauce or the twigs of cauliflower?? A good steak, seasoned correctly and cooked correctly does not need anything and should stand on it's own.
